Chapter 232

Zara's POV

I let my eyes feast on the perfect figure of my mate, as he stood in the middle of other Alphas, there was a group of other Alphas. I watch as they share jokes and laugh heartily like there is no trouble in the world. With Lucian being an Alpha and Kane an Alpha, the Alpha's circles had increased. Having four strong alpha and four betas is enough to create a secure environment

The smile on their face was enough to show that they were contented and happy to be here. With everything that had happened in our life in the past weeks, the return of Lucian and that of Sara, even though Lucian doesn't live under this pack it's enough that he is alive and doing well and Sara as well.

Tonight we are having a renewal of our vows. Even though Keith and I had been ruling over this pack and the wolves for seven good years. I never see this day coming when I will be happy to celebrate a renewal of vows with Keith. I know most people will judge my choice for wanting to be with Keith, the man who had hurt me every day of my existence. But who are we to know what the goddess holds for us? Who would have thought that Keith and I would be standing in the same place and smiling at each other without any hint of hatred in our hearts for each other? Who would have thought a day like this would come when all I wanted to breathe the scent of Keith, and not found it awful?

Many things have happened in the last seven years, and we are hoping more good things we happen in our lives. We are getting stronger and better. Sometimes, we mourned over our losses, we cried together, and we apologized for the things we didn't do right. We are healing and slowly moving away from it.

Sara told me a lot of things that happened in her life over the past few years. They are not so good a story but she holding on fast and with Clair and I beside her. I know she will pull through it.

Clair had blamed herself for everything that happened to Sara. I know it would get to that, she felt obligated to take care of us. Being the eldest among us.

We decided to have our mother's things buried beside our father, at the Silver Moon graveyard, since this was her original pack. At least we know she is closer now and probably with our father.

My eyes move from the alpha circles to the females sitting at the other side of the table. Their laughter and chitchat filled the room.

Never had friends, and never knew what it means to be cared for by someone that is not your blood. But here I am having them in abundance. From those that I have called enemies to friends. How they turned out to be friends after everything we went through together was one thing, I didn't see coming. I love them wholeheartedly and I always look forward to our girls' night with the females.

With Uncle Robinson gone and Tristan facing the council, there were no worries and no one planning to double-cross the peace of every pack. Peace at last.

My smile was so overwhelming and it made my heart giggle, my eyes moved from there to the younger generation with all the kids growing fast and getting old. It wouldn't be long before we become grandparents and transit powers to this generation.

My eyes fell on Sara who was sitting at the far end away from everyone, with her hair let down. The wolf with the red hair. I smiled she always looks good even though she doesn't know.

I wanted to go to her but one of our warriors was approaching her and they were in a conversation I think Sara was enjoying it because she wasn't ending the conversation just immediately it started like she always does since she returned.

When I tilted my head from my cousin, my eyes fell on Lucian on the other side of the garden. He had moved away from the Alphas' circle and he was smoking badly while his gaze was on Sara. I chuckled inwardly, "Some old habits never die." I murmured to myself while I walked to him.

"I didn't know you smoke," I asked Lucian the moment I got to him. He immediately finished the cigarette and press the butt on the tall ashtray that was provided in the garden.

"Some bad habit I learned when I can't think straight." My eyes squinting.

"You could always distract yourself with people around here, there is..."

"I felt like a stranger in the midst of them. I am just comfortable with you, Keith, then my pup and my..." He paused before his eyes moved back to the direction Sara was sitting, she was no longer there, and his restless eyes moved searching for someone. I know wasn't his mate.

Someone bumped him from behind. He wanted to protest but I knew who that fellow was and his voice came up, "Get your eyes off her, you have a mate already." Keith's scolded him and he frowned.

"I wasn't looking at her." He scoffed.

"Of course you were, you couldn't stop staring at her. I have been watching you for the longest time." He pushed his hand into his pocket.

"I wasn't looking at her, I had a mate already." he protested

"Good you know, you shouldn't do anything that will hurt your mate."

"I wasn't planning on hurting her." My eyes move to Lucian. His voice was low and his shoulder dropped, he sighed. I saw the pain in his eyes before I could ask if he was still interested in my cousin, his mate had shown up and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Here you are, looking for you everywhere." He gave a tight smiled

"I think you should go before we start smelling your arousal."

"Or maybe, it's you telling me, you need your queen because I could see you from a distance, staring at her, like you want to eat her out here. And I don't want to see that." Lucian chuckled

I felt embarrassed, I buried my face on Keith's shoulder, I could already feel my core throb in an instant. Keith hit his shoulder, "now you are going to tease my queen." Lucian's hand went up in surrender.

"I didn't mean to, hope I am not getting a death sentence?" he murmured. It was Keith's turn to chuckle before his hand fell on Lucian's shoulder.

"I am glad you came."

"couldn't miss it for anything else. You will always be my family." Lucian said.

"and family comes first," he said before he pulled me by the waist and walked towards the pack house.

"Why is the pack house taking so long to appear? Now my legs ached." I murmured

"is it your legs or something else?"

"Maybe, my legs and a hole." he chuckled at my words.

"Zara, you don't want to tempt me in front of these wolves, vampires, and their likes?" his voice came out husky and needy.

"Maybe that is the end goal." I stopped abruptly in front of him, pulling his collar so we could be at the same height.

"don't tease the beast in me. I am not sure if I could control it but if I can't, I will take you here and now."

"in front of these beasts?" he tilted his head side by side.

"probably but I am not sure about you."

"You are going to make all of them watch? Your nude queen? Why you ravish her body with your tongue, lips, and hand?"

"Damn..." he growled when I said that part and his hand went to my waist pulling me closer to himself. "that will be over their dead bodies." his eyes dilated and his fangs protruded.

I giggled at his actions before my hand moved to his neck, circling with one hand, "Easy alpha king, aren't you a jinx."

"for everyone not to you." I giggle more and tap the bridge of his nose. "Now, let's get out of this place and make some nice sounds."
