Chapter 19: CHAPTER:19

I am waiting for Brother Ven to wake up. He is lying on the sofa chair while Carmen is sitting beside her. Like Brother Mike I wrapped with duct tape her hands and her feet and I also stitch her mouth and right now I don’t know if she is still breathing or not. Poor Carmen. She is supposed to be not here but she’s hard headed. She will call the police so I stitch her mouth so that she can’t talk. I look at her. She looks so sick. There’s a rumor that Carmen has a weak heart and is struggling to survive. She has a daughter and her husband died two years ago. I tried to wake her up but she is not waking up. I checked her pulse on her neck but I couldn't get any. I looked at her and I realized that she is already pale but I didn’t kill her. I only stitch her mouth.

I look at Brother Ven because I am so excited to let him know about the real me and the mission that he needs to participate in. I also made coffee for him so that once he’s conscious again he has a coffee to drink. I am looking at him while he is still unconscious. I know that he will understand me and why Echo hit him on his head because we really need to bring him home but he doesn't want to. While staring at him there is a “what if” that comes from my head. What if he’s my real father and nanny Silva is my real mother. I am smiling while thinking about it because I know I would be happy.

After an hour of waiting for him to regain consciousness he finally awakes.

“Hi” I greeted him with a smile. He didn’t greet me back. He just looked at me and looked at Carmen. His jaw dropped and he went to Carmen to look at her closer.

“What happened to her? Why is her mouth stitched?” He asked while checking on Carmen. When he suddenly felt like he wanted to vomit.

“What is that smell?” He asked and he covered his nose.

“It smells like there are a bunch of dead rats here,” He said while clearing off the flies that were flying near him.

“My apologies, I haven't cleaned the house yet” I said.

“You want coffee?” I asked him. Giving him the coffee that I made even though it's a bit cold now. He still takes a sip while looking at me. He checks on Carmen again. He touches her pulse and he looks at me. “What did you do to her?” He asked and looked at Carmen. He almost wants to cry. I can feel it from his voice and the way he talked to me.

“You killed her,” He said, trying to stop himself from panicking.

“I didn’t kill her. I only stitch her mouth” I said while looking at him.

“And what happened to her face?” He asked again looking at the big bruise in Carmen’s face. I didn’t answer because I don't want him to know.

“Oh Carmen” He said while fixing her hair and wiping the dried blood from her mouth.

“I am sorry, Carmen supposed to be not here but she saw me kidnap you and she is going to tell the police that is why I kidnapped her with you” I explain but it seems he is not listening. He continued to look around and I can say that each roam that his eyes made. He became scared. Scared of me.

“What’s in there?” He asked and he went to the dining room and he was shocked when he saw my parents, John, Brother Mike and the girls. He touches his stomach and he looks so disgusted. He wants to vomit but he’s holding it.

He looked at me and asked, “What happened to them?” He asked,

“They are just here all the time. I am looking for them,” he said while looking at them with dismay.

“How could you join the search when you already know where the missing people?” He asked but I didn’t answer because I don’t know what to tell him.

“John, Shirley, Jean, Irene and Mike. I am sorry,” He said. Still holding his tears. Stopping himself to cry. He looked at me and said “You kill them”

“No, I just... take away their problems and pains” I said

“But not this way” He said and he looked at them again and he looked at me. “Are you going to kill me too, Helena?” He asked

My eyes grew wide because of his question and I answered “No, of course not” His fear of me tamed a little when he heard my answer that I was not going to kill him.

“Well then I will tell this to the police” He said

“No!” I shouted.

He looked at me and his heart beat fast. I know that he is scared of me even though he is trying not to be scared. I don’t want him to tell the police and I know that he is trying to run but I locked the door so that he can’t get out. I can feel his fear now even though he is trying to control the situation.

“You murdered them, Helena” He said “You need help” He added still looking at me because he couldn't believe what he was seeing. The sweet and innocent girl is now a monster standing in front of him. A monster that he couldn’t believe. A monster that he couldn’t imagine.

“Yes, I need help. I need your help” I said with a smile to him because finally he is getting what I am trying to tell him.

“Help me to take Belinda away from heaven” I told him but he remained silent. “Please,” I said, still convincing him but he still remained silent. I guess he is trying to absorb everything.

“Stop it Helena, you are not okay” He finally talked after a few seconds of thinking and absorbing what I told him.

“You killed John, Irene, Shirley, Jean and Mike”

“No, I didn’t” I looked at him. I thought he already knew that I didn’t kill them. I just take away their pain.

“John, Irene, Shirley and Jean I helped them with their pains and Mike--” I suddenly stop and look at Mike and take a deep breath and look at Brother Ven again.

“Mike,” He said. I know it hurts him seeing his friend dead with his short down and blood on his shirt because Mike is his friend too like nanny Silva.

“I punished him for what he has done to me. He abused me when I was six years old at the back of the chapel in the playground. He molested me. He touched my pussy and he made me touch his penis” I told him while looking at him waiting for his reaction after hearing his friend molested a child.

“He is evil like Belinda, my dad’s mistress and who killed my nanny” I added while still waiting for his reaction. He closed his eyes trying to absorb what he heard because I know he was surprised.

“I am sorry to hear that I didn’t know that you suffer a lot” He said and I feel like he wanted to hug me but he stopped himself because he is scared to come near me. He feared that I might hurt him.

“Don’t be, you are here to help me right?” I asked but still no reply from him regarding that matter. “Please, Brother Ven, we are both God’s angels so we should help each other” I said still trying to convince him.

“This is not a work of an angel, Helena,” He said with dismay. “This is the work of an evil” He added.

“No!” I shouted and suddenly got mad when I heard him telling me that what I did was an evil thing. “You know who is evil?” I furiously asked him. I walk near him. I touched him on his face and made his eyes open to see.

“You see John and the girls?” I asked “They keep on praying to ease their pains but nothing’s happening and look at them right now. They are happy and quiet” I said to him.

“They are no longer suffering Brother because that is what God wanted” I added, still making him see everything even when he closed his eyes. I am trying to make it open for him to realize.

“Open your eyes wide Brother and LOOK AT EVERYTHING!” I told him, still forcing him to open his eyes.

“Stop, stop” He said so I stopped.

“I can’t breathe” He said, trying to gasp for air. I saw a sweat coming from his forehead and his face was turning red but his lips were turning pale. I don’t know what to do but to watch him.

He continued to gasp for air until he fell on the floor and fainted. I immediately carry him with the help of Echo. I laid him down on the sofa and put an electric fan on him.

“You need to be careful next time” He said because he is worried too with Brother Ven.

“Brother Ven, is vulnerable and besides he is not our enemy” He added.

I am sorry for forcing him to believe right away. I am sorry if I lose a little patience and I forced him. I am sorry and I will not do it again.

“Be patient with him, okay?” He asked

I didn’t answer but I nodded because I already know what he wants to tell me. Echo is right. Maybe I am forcing Brother Ven to believe in everything in just a snap. That is why he fainted because he is not yet ready for it and I need to slow down when he regains consciousness. Because Brother Ven is already old he is already fragile and besides he is a good man. I am waiting for him to wake up because I am ready to show him and let him know about Belinda.
