Chapter 3

I'm just happy to applaud them. I'm happy for these two people because they know that I might be an obstacle for both of them but they still managed to encourage each other.

I was just looking at them here in the cloud when something suddenly came to my mind. Is this what Cupid always tells me?

"Believe me, Destiny, true love exists." I mocked what he said while shaking my head.

"No. You're wrong. It may have existed back then but in this generation .." I paused and looked for a moment at a couple who were fighting and were about to break up in just two minutes.

"Only a child will believe the path of lies." I bitterly finished what I said.

I just let out a sigh. Maybe that's why I don't believe in the word true love even I have never experienced the thing they call love.

I am ignorant of that word, I only know separation. I'm used to separating two people who love each other but I've never once experienced loving and being loved.

I let out a deep breath again and got down on the ground. Maybe what I need now is to rest. I will ask first.

I started walking here in what they call a park where there are many people, there are lovers, families, people riding bikes but among all the people I see, there is one person who catches my eye. He was sitting alone on a bench while crying.

I'm confused because from what I know he must be happy because he's finally with Chiara but why is he alone? I quietly walked closer to him and sat in the empty seat near him. I just watched her while she continued to cry.

His eyes are sad. And his heart almost screams that the girl he loves so much is back. I felt sorry for him so I put my hand on his shoulder.

I know he doesn't feel it but it's okay. I don't know why I'm sitting here watching him because I don't always do it but I can only say one thing... I feel like he needs me now even though he can't see me.

He wiped his tears for a moment and took his phone out of his pocket and answered the call.

"Ethan ... take care of Chiara ... because if not .." he didn't finish what he was saying because his tears immediately fell causing him to end the call and hide his phone in his pocket.

Little by little I raised my right hand to touch her tearful face but I couldn't because even I couldn't touch her so even though it hurt I was content to just look at her face.

A few days passed and I kept watching him. I feel like there's a part of me that I can't explain. I don't understand why I feel happy when I see him even though he doesn't see me.

Until one day while I was doing my work I had a lover. I did not understand what they were doing so I approached them and watched what they were doing.

"Honey, what are you doing?" the woman asked her boyfriend. He looked at her for a moment and returned his attention to what he was doing.

"According to my research, you can summon fate destiny if you make a way" replied the man while making a circle on the ground and while he was placing petals of red roses around the circle he was making. He also put a pink scented candle in the 4 corners and put a picture of them with their lover in the middle of the circle.

"What is our picture for, dear?" asked the woman while just looking at what the man was doing while I was laughing at what they were doing. Are they joking? There's a force that can call me. I'm not Jack Frost!

"I want Tadhana to bless us that we are destined for each other" the woman was thrilled by her boyfriend's guidance. As for me, I'm just sitting here in the back. Raised eyebrows and just watched them. Well, good luck if they do.

"Honey, let's hold hands and I'll start" said the man and he held his girlfriend's hand. I even stood up and came closer to them so that I could participate in their nonsense.

•• Aiden Cupid's Pov ••

After I approached the two people I looked for Destiny. Where did that girl go? I went to the ground to look for her because the other day she was sent to the ground because she seems to like a man.

If he wasn't like me, I would have shot him Darren, is that his name, the famous actor? Ahh, it's just that I can't do that because Destiny isn't human and Darren is another brokenhearted person. If he can do that, he needs to move on a bit.

I just continued my walk until I stumbled upon an abandoned warehouse where there was a couple near the circle surrounded by red roses and then in the corner there were candles and in the middle there was a picture of them as a couple and then Destiny, it's further in the middle where the picture was.

I just scratched my head and was about to approach when the man started chanting. This is a forbidden spell where you call Destiny to bless your relationship with your lover. With this kind of spell, you will be your lover until death.

I know you're asking why it's called forbidden? Because even if they wanted to separate, they couldn't because there was a spell that bonded them both. Destiny doesn't know this because being a destiny translates. Every century changes what becomes destiny well, even cupid changes.

Suppose to be you are asking how I know this. When I was alive I used to be a teacher and also a researcher.

So I believe ... when Destiny became a creature just like me .. she might have a past.

"Destiny, Destiny. You hold the fate. Because you are our Destiny. I summon you today show yourself, show the true you and bless my girlfriend and I that we may be forever together as time can count" the man chanted. I covered my face because it happened so fast. There was a strong wind that almost blew us inside this abandoned place. Until a moment there was a very beautiful woman standing in the middle where the picture was placed.

One by one there is joy on the faces of this couple. While I was worried, because maybe after Destiny blesses these two, he will lose consciousness and he might even die.

The man approached Destiny with a smile while holding his girlfriend's hand.

"Fate Destiny? Is that you?" asked the man. Destiny nodded first and then responded yes.

"Good. We called you to bless me and my girlfriend so that we can be forever. I don't like my friends saying that there is no forever when there really is" the man said long but Destiny just ignored him. And then Destiny will kill him. After he kissed the two of them, he just left him and the next thing that happened was that he just fell, luckily I was quick and caught him immediately.

"Destiny! Destiny!" I called him but no response. I know he can't hear me because he's like me. I'm sad, I feel like I wish I had told him that this could happen in the first place. It's because I was late and I didn't tell him.

I didn't know what to do so I approached God and it was good that he heard my prayer and fulfilled it. He brought Destiny to a family that loved her very much.

As for me, I asked God to make me human even for just one year so that I can watch over Destiny. I treat him like a brother.

Maybe he died too so he became like me.
