Chapter 4

** Fate Destiny's POV **

I feel like I'm in a place I don't normally go. Do you feel like there are eyes looking at you but you can't open your eyes because you know that when they open again, they will ask you one after the other what happened?

What can I answer? That even I don't know what happened? The only thing I did was stand in line for a long time even though the sweat was already on my goddess-like face, it was okay because I thought that through this, my long-time dream would come true. To be a supporter of an artist.

Am I corny? Actually, what do you know about corny life, right? I know that you already have almost everything a young person wants, while I still have to work hard to get and achieve those things.

"Aiden, tell me, what really happened to Des?" I almost covered my mouth because of my shock but I didn't show it because they might think I was just pretending to be asleep.

"Auntie, the whole incident was really just an accident, there were war freaks in the queue so when Des noticed it, he immediately pulled away but he was the one who got scolded" I wanted to smile but I wouldn't because they might notice. I know Mom and Dad are here and of course best friend Aiden. I want to clap but I won't do it first because I don't want them to notice me.

"If only Des had left, what did you do there Aiden?" Mama asked with a suspicious tone.

"I'm holding Des" I almost opened my eyes because of what Aiden said. Take a deep breath Des, you can do it don't show it off.

"Son, are you making us laugh?" Dad asked his best friend.

I really wanted to laugh so it was real and I slowly opened my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I could see the worry on their faces. Mom and Dad immediately approached me while Aiden just stood there looking at me.

"Son, are you ok?" Mama asked me worriedly, while Papa just looked at me full of concern.

I just nodded as an answer. I feel like I can't talk about what happened. I didn't really dream of being a great supporter of an artist. That's my scene, right? My goddess-like beauty is not fit to be just a great supporter. Then think about it, I'm the carrier of his big luggage when he goes somewhere and then the staff won't even notice me because what do they care about me, right? For them I should just be ignored because I'm just a great supporter.

Aist! What am I saying? No longer on the scene. Anyway, let's get back to reality.

"Are you sure?" I nodded again at Mama's question. I must admit, my family and I are not rich but I can be proud that we are rich in love. Also, if we are not rich here on earth, at least we are rich in heaven with the Lord Jesus, hehe.

After a while, a doctor came in, he said that I can go out. I was happy with what I heard. I don't want to be able to stay here in the hospital, joke about it, I feel like I'm breathing the air that the people who died here in the hospital also breathe. Gosh! Just by thinking about it I'm terrified. Des, erase that from your brain.

After Papa paid the hospital, we got into Papa's passenger jeep and he started driving. Mama was in the passenger seat next to Papa while Aiden and I were here in the passenger seat. Admit it, our life is difficult, they say we are one and the same but even so we have what they don't have. Our family loves each other, because other people don't love each other and their families are abundant with love, isn't it?

If Papa is a Jeepney driver, he inherited the jeep from his father, while Mama is a housewife but unlike other housewives, Mama and I have a small sari-sari store next to our house, so somehow we get along.

"Des..." I immediately shifted my attention to Aiden who was looking at me seriously. What's the problem with this one? That look on his face is like he can't be ire!

"Oh, why is it best?" I asked him. He looked at me carefully and opened his mouth and it looked like he was going to speak without a voice coming out of it. Aiden, what really?

"What now?" I asked him impatiently. But he didn't pay attention to my question, instead he just shook his head and turned his attention to the outside. I didn't pay attention to that anymore and I just took out my cellphone with keypad and I played snake.

Maybe, you're kidding me? Pwes, I can't do anything if you're laughing, my only problem is why would I buy a cell phone that is pressed on the glass when I can use one with a keypad, right? Unique, even Anthic, where else are you? Also, my classmates said that cellphones that are pressed against the glass can easily be damaged if you accidentally dip them in a bucket of water because you will spill water because you are too lazy to put your cellphone in your pocket and it will be immediately the cellphone will break. They call something there, what do they call it tatskrin, yes, they call it tatskrin.

Then if they are going to buy a screen to love, why not just give me the money so I can buy a lot of food for Mom and Dad, surely when that happens we will all be happy. It will take us half a year.

Well, speaking of that screen, Aiden also screened the cell phone but it's not like the other people, his cell phone is a fake screen, you know that, you have to press the index finger just to press it. If only you knew, I really like that. I almost put pictures of me as a rhetorical child on his cell phone and of course he can't scream because he already knows he will accept it. I will punch him.

"Aiden..." I called his name. He immediately looked at me.

"Why?" he asked me innocently.

"Can I make your test difficult?" I asked him. He didn't give it to me right away but he looked at me carefully first and maybe he made sure if I was serious about what I was saying?

"What? Are you going to give it or not?" He looked like he was hit by what I said so he gave it right away.

I immediately prepared my fingers and slid the screen. And I have read his messages. I read everything one by one until I read a text message where they exchanged i love you to each other.

You know that feeling that makes you feel sick because of what you witnessed. I violently returned his tattoo and spoke bitterly.

"You know, Aiden, break up with your girlfriend, you two won't last long, nothing lasts forever" I said bitterly. It's going to be tough if it's tough, hey, nothing really lasts long in the world, right?

Lovers break up, maybe even a couple. I just keep Aiden away from people who aren't right for him. Don't get me wrong, I don't want anything from that man, It's just that, I want him to have a girlfriend that is really long-term and not just temporary.

"Des, do you hear what you're saying? Tiffany answered me just yesterday and then you're telling me to divorce her immediately?" Aiden promised with a restrained annoyance.

I was silent on one side not because he answered his girlfriend raw yesterday but because I don't remember what I did last night.

Wait, where was I last night?

"You slept in the hospital for three days, only one blow happened to you but it's like what happened to you is comatose" can you read my mind? He knows my question.

I just took a deep breath and I didn't pay attention to his answer anymore and I just moved to the seat after all Aiden and I were the only ones riding in this long seat so I'm going to move.

When I moved, I just watched the traffic on the streets of Manila. Traffic? I'm used to it, there's always traffic here in our country, right? Anyway, while I was doing that, I saw two people holding hands and happily staring into each other's eyes.

"I love you so much" said the man and the woman replied that I love you too. Suddenly, my goddess-like appearance turned sour, so I immediately yelled at them, after all, it's traffic, it's my chance to show them that they won't last long.

"Hey, you're just going to break up!! He's just fooling you! Nothing lasts forever" I shouted. When I shouted that, I knew everyone turned to me, alas! I don't care, I'm just saying my opinion.

Even Papa and Mama were looking at me badly, I just ignored that and just focused my attention on the couple that I yelled at just now. The anger was evident on their faces. I wanted to laugh but I held it back.

Maybe because I was so happy, I didn't notice that the man was close to me. His face, he looks like a tramp. He is already carrying something. So I couldn't stop myself anymore and I really laughed out loud causing Mama to look at me so I immediately became quiet. I looked back at the man again and he was walking towards me.

There's only one thing on my mind right now, how long will this traffic last?

"Hey, haven't you been educated, you child? Don't you know how to respect? ..." I fell silent as the man spoke to me. He stopped for a moment to fix his pants that were falling down a bit and he continued speaking again. I just ignored him fixing his pants and focused my attention on listening to his sermon again.

"Yes, I'm sorry" I apologized. And you know what's worse than that? When I apologized and the cars moved on.

Philippines what? How long is the traffic?

"So, what are you up to today?" Aiden asked me. We're just here at the playground. There were no children so Aiden and I used the swing.

"What else? Are you going to look for a job?" I replied as I played with the sand on my feet.

"Right, your parents don't make you work?" he asked me.

"Wow! Parents huh?" I stopped for a moment to laugh at him. "But seriously, Aiden, I'm really going to find a job. I know I'm only in my 3rd year of college, but it's embarrassing for Dad that I'm still working for what they're doing, right? So I have to work, you know that's extra" I said while -swing and while Aiden was just standing there while he was now looking at the sky.

I heard him sigh while still looking up at the sky.

"When will the man destined for you come" he said while looking down at me. I was suddenly confused.

What is this man saying?
