Chapter 22

Two years later... 

"It's different to be back." Eva said as she landed after 2 years. She wore shades as she knew better than to show her face in public. 

She took a cab to her house. She gave the address to the driver. Just when she was going to pay the wind blew her scarf from her face, exposing a little from her face but giving enough time to recognise her. The driver did not say anything just gave her back changes. She thought she was okay as he did not recognise her, but it was one of her mistakes. 

She immediately entered her house. She was welcomed by a hug by Kasie, daughter of her butler. Her butler, the reason she came back was him. He was lying sick in his bed, counting the days before his leave. And being the one who raised Eva, she could not just let that old man die without having a proper treatment or a last goodbye. 

She knew Eric would be angry at her, as she came without informing him. 

"Are we clear? Are you sure no one saw you?" Kasie asked her. Eva did not want to lie, so she said everything.

"Oh my god. Eva, you need to hide. They will be coming anytime soon now." Kasie said, walking back and forth, still panicking. 

"Relax Kasie, nothing will happen. The driver did not react even a bit so it's fine. I guess?" As soon as Eva dropped her words the knock on the front door was heard, making both girls flinch. 

Eva’s POV

"Are you sure it was the same girl?" I asked one more time, trying to make sure that whom the driver saw was my Eva. He nodded and replied with yes. 

My mind was filled with euphoric feelings. It means I can see her again, feel her again and see her smile again. I can have her and this time she won't go anywhere. 

I told my men immediately to go to the address that driver gave. It was her house address. It must be her. It is her. I smiled looking at one of the many pictures of her in my room and stroked it. 

"You will be mine. All mine. Soon."

"Hide in the closet of your room and no matter what you hear or happen, don't come out of this closet or room. okay? I will come inside your room and knock at your closet 3 times, if the coast is clear. Did you get it?" Kasie said to Eva once again making sure she takes everything inside in her head. 

She nodded and hid. She heard the door being opened and some people talking. After a while everything was silent. Eva tried as much as not to go out. 

After a while she heard Kasie's voice. "Eva they are gone. Come out now." Something was fishy and Eva could tell it. Kasie said she would come inside and knock on the closet. 

10 mins, 10 whole minutes passed after Kasie said that and still no sign of her. It was like a test of Eva's patience and she lost it when he heard a scream of Kasie saying no followed by a cry. 

Eva immediately went outside only to see a gun pointed in her butler's temples. "What i-is hap-happening here?" She shuttered in panic even though she could see what was going on. 

"I told you not to come out!" Kasie said to Eva but it did not affect her as she was too focused on the gun and the man. 

"Our leader wants to meet with you. Come quietly." One of the men said. "If I come, will you let them go?" Eva said with caution. 

"That will make work even easier, as we were ordered to bring you without any scratch." The man smirked and dropped the gun from the poor old man's temple. 

Eva let out a sigh of relief until the man told her to follow them. She gave an assuring smile to Kasie and followed them. "Don't worry, I will be safe. Take care of yourself and the uncle. Okay?" 

With that she took off with the men. She was brought up to the house or a mansion she could clearly recognise. 'So, it was true. He really is searching for me.' She thought to herself. Once she entered the house her palms were all covered with sweats and her heartbeat Ba-dump. 

She was then led to the room, which she remembers was his. She let a deep sigh before entering the room. She was shocked, surprised and stupper when she saw it. Not even a single place was left uncovered with her pictures, images. She gasped and slowly her eyes followed towards the man that was standing back facing her. 

"Took you long enough to reach here." The boy smirked at Eva.
