Chapter 109
“I am so happy baby. I want a big family. I love you, lets lay down I am so tired from cooking today.” I tell him lying on his chest while he presses the play button on the movie.
“I love you too, baby. I will do all the cooking this weekend. We can have as many kids as you want baby.” Kane says as the dogs come and lay on the end of the bed. I fell asleep fast because the day was a long one, but I know he didn’t and is looking things up on his laptop, he wasn’t ready for bed but wanted to hold me while I fell asleep.
The next morning, I woke up feeling sick again and this time I threw up. Man does it suck but Kane is sweet and brings me a wet warm washcloth for my face. I brush my teeth to get rid of the taste. “I think I will do toast and oatmeal this morning baby.” I tell Kane as we walk into the walk-in closet so I can put my sweatpants on.
“Ok baby, I will go start some right now while you get comfy clothes on.” Kane said, giving me a kiss and walking out of the room.
I put on my comfy sweats when I walk down the hall, I can hear Kane asking if the doctor can do a house call today instead of us going out since it’s a blood draw and paperwork. When I get into the kitchen he is already finished with the call, “did they agree?” I ask while watching him make oatmeal and put toast in the toaster. I see a cup of hot tea waiting for me at our little table.
“Yes, the doctor said she has no issue with that. Mom already sent them money to buy the equipment they need to travel here with. Now go sit well I make food. I woke up early and set up your comfy chair for you to be able to write today. I know you said you had an idea for a book you wanted to write but haven’t had the time. Today will be your time, well after the appointment anyway.” He says before giving me a kiss as I walk past him and go sit down at the table.
“Well, you have it all planned out. I guess I will get to be lazy this weekend. Oh, I was supposed to take Link to the store for a new saddle because he says that one, he uses felt funny. Do you think your dad will take him?” I ask since I probably shouldn’t be lifting a saddle anymore.
“Yes, Link already told dad that you guys were supposed to go this morning, but he knows your appointment is more important. Dad said he has it handled.” Kane says bringing our bowls over before going back to get the toast and butter.
“That’s good, he really wants to learn to ride. I have been proud of him because he used the other one even though he didn’t like it, but the trainer said it would go better with a one he likes.” I forgot to let him know what the trainer said before or about the saddle, but I mean we have been so busy sometimes I forget to mention things. I think I should share my notes app with him so he can see what I put in it throughout the day.
“What are you thinking? Your nose is scrunching up like you are thinking about something.” He says lightly pushing my nose with his index finger un-scrunching my nose as he slides in next to me.
“I was thinking we should link my notes to your phone, so I don’t forget to tell you important things during long days. If we put out initials next to the ones we put, then we can share and know who put what and when. What do you think?” I respond while putting butter on my toast.
“Yeah, we can set that up later after your appointment. Kendra said she will bring us a plate of food for lunch. She said you mentioned wanting the pasta that would be made today. Something about wanting all the veggies that were in the veggie pasta. She didn’t tell me much about it just that she would come by.” He says while buttering his toast after pouring me some more hot water from the electric kettle that he had on the table. I was about to ask him for it. I guess he noticed I was starting a new cup, but I could only reach the tea and sugar.
“Thank you, baby. Oh yes, it was a recipe I came up with not that long ago. I was trying to give more vegan options because we have some guests coming next month that requested it, but I realized other than salad and veggie soups. I must have forgotten to expand the menu. Kendra helped me with it. It has olive oil and seasoning for the dressing of the pasta with tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, squash, zucchini, red onions, and bell peppers. We made it once but today will be the first time it is on the menu. Sautéed veggies in olive oil add the noodles, yellow and red sliced grape tomatoes, and olives at the end. We will use bow tie noodles do it will be an even bite.” I tell him getting excited because I sounds so good.
