Chapter 47

My stomach fell to the floor, panic snapped to life from deep inside as my heart jumped. I did not want to be here with this man - not now, not ever.

“No. I won’t stay in here on my own with you.”

I knew that if it was just us two in a room together then it would give him the perfect opportunity to do anything that he desired to. Whether that be of a sexual nature or anything to do with pain. But either way, my anxiety was running at one hundred and ten percent; my heart was racing, and I knew that every wolf in the hospital could hear it.

Reid shuffled his feet next to me, clearly at unease with the idea of leaving me with his deprived father.

“Get out!” Corbin bellowed, roaring it as an Alpha order as loud as he could, knowing that they both had no choice but to obey him, and that it would not affect me.

Dane was gone within the blink of an eye, but Reid still lingered, trying to fight the small amount of control that his dad had over him. His hands were fisted tight and trembling with the battle that was raging on. But ultimately, it was one that he had already lost before he even tried. He may be the future Alpha of The Bloodmoon Pack, but for now, Corbin was still the current Alpha, and any of its packmembers had to obey all his orders, regardless of how profane they were.

Reid eventually lost his battle and left the room, leaving just me and the dictator behind.

“You’ve got balls, I’ll give you that.” Corbin’s voice was raspy from the damage that I had caused to his throat.

“Proverbially, yes. Now, what do you want?” I crossed my arms across my chest, protecting myself in the only way that I knew how to for now, and creating my own little protective bubble around me.

“I think that you owe me for today, I own you.”

He finally twisted his head so that he faced me. I could now clearly see all the injuries that he had, including the slashes that went through his left eye. I had managed to shred his eyelids so that they looked as if they may be permanently deformed. His eye watered as he watched me, and I saw his Adams apple bob several times as he struggled to swallow.

“What do you think that I should do with you?”

He was asking me? Asking me for opinions on how I should be punished? I shrugged my shoulders, too afraid to give him any suggestions.

“Use your words, Olivia. And surely you have something to say?” I suppose it does not matter what is done to him, he will always have that smug-arse smile for anyone beneath him.

“I think that I owe you nothing. Especially after everything that you have done to everyone that I love.” I was trying to rock the faux confidence.

“Oh, but you do. I reckon some bedroom service would be a good start.” Corbin shuffled his lower half on the bed, trying to be more suggestive.

“Not a fucking chance. Is that why you got Reid to leave? Because you’re too afraid to say this shit in front of him?” The man was disgusting. My confidence was returning the more that we spoke though. His words were pissing me off, driving me to bite back.

“Whatever I say goes around here. So, if I say that I want you in my bed to fuck as hard as I want, when I want, then in my bed you will be. Regardless of who’s your fucking mate.”

It was Corbin’s turn to get angry now, hissing his dirty little requests at me.

“No way, and you can’t Alpha command me to either.”

I regretted shaking my head; I made me feel like I was going to hurl all over the arrogant fucker.

“You say that you’re the one that attacked the pack that I came from, so how did I get the scars on my back?” I tried to change the conversation, attempting to avoid the vile pigheadedness of his.

“Ahhh, I was wondering when those questions would come.”

Corbin deflated in the bed; his anger leaving him and the smug-glee returning.

“So, when we attacked, me and a couple of other soldiers went straight to your room first. I was holding this big, silver hunting knife in my hand, wondering what I could do to you with it. Then it hit me, to torture your parents by torturing you; mark you permanently as a reminder.” Corbin was grinning wider than I had seen before, loving the memories that had of cutting up a young baby.

“You’re repulsive. You’re the reason my last name is Wolf; how could you ever think that I would ever do something for you?”  I advanced towards him a little, with my jaw clenched as I growled at him.

“Wolf is the name that is given to orphans or wolves that don’t know their origins. But you’re not. And now that you know, what will you decide on? Stay Wolf, or take your parents' name; White?”

“My surname is White?” I whispered, feeling like I had been punched in the chest. It was the first time that I had heard my family’s surname and instantly I decided that I would take it for my own.

I was standing there, lost and thinking to myself when an alarm started blaring from the hallway. Reid and Dane ran in panicked like their arses were on fire.

“We’re under attack. There’re wolves at the territory line attacking the useless twats that we have stationed there, but they’re not going to last long, I need to go. Olivia, get yourself to the safehouse, now.”

“What safehouse? Where?” I did not feel the same panic, instead feeling hopeful that maybe it would possibly be a chance for me to slip away.

“You’re with me then, just stay back, and stay hidden.”

“You do remember that I’m trained to fight, right?”

“I don’t give a fuck if you are or not. You are not going to fight anyone; do you understand me?”
