Two Different Creatures

Edelweiss, Ryan and Lyra were shocked to hear the praise he said. Edelweiss looked at him with her eyes so wide they could barely blink. Seeing him so amazed made Ryan feel jealous.

Since he knew Edelweiss, he had never once seen Edelweiss look at a man in that way. When she was little, Edelweiss was a cheerful girl and often played with her older brother and her older brother's friends, including Ryan.

When he was a teenager, a terrible incident that happened to him made him change drastically. She is a quiet, gloomy and very closed girl. He also became afraid of strange men. But how could he now see a man with a look that showed that he was very fascinated?

"Edelweiss, you are really lucky. I'm jealous!" Lyra chirped. He continued to smile and hoped that Leviathan would respond to his smile.

"But you already have Ryan, right?"

"You're right, I'm happy because Ryan is finally willing to forgive me-"

"Who said I forgave you? Edel, what time are you coming home?" He said as he left. Ryan tried hard to control his jealousy.

"I'm going home now,"

"You two in the car?"

"No, we took the bus."

"So Mr. Levi didn't bring a car?" He said teasingly. He looked very excited and it was very obvious.

"I don't have a car, I don't even have money." He said casually.

He really wasn't embarrassed to say that even though he was a man, even though he was a devil, but still in the eyes of ordinary people who saw him, he was an ordinary man.

"It's a shame, even though you are the most handsome and sexy man I have ever seen."

"Then I'm lucky because my woman is Edelweiss, not you, Miss." Once again he said something that made the three humans speechless. Especially Edelweiss, who had no more words to say.

Lyra seemed a little annoyed because this was the first time a man had teased and praised Edelweiss more than her, who was clearly more striking.

He stepped closer to Leviathan, who looked at him with a flat gaze while occasionally exhaling cigarette smoke from his mouth.

"Isn't it rude to smoke in front of a pregnant woman?" he asked in a teasing tone.

"Who asked you to stand in front of me? Phew..." He exhaled the smoke right in front of Lyra's face, who was even more eager to face him.

"Lyra, we'd better go home soon! I don't have time, I have other things to do!"

"Wait a minute, darling? I have to make calculations about this disrespectful man who could make our future baby's condition unsafe!"

Lyra put her hands on her hips, the more she looked, the more she realized that the man standing in front of her was too perfect to be real.

"Edelweiss, do you want to go home together? I happen to have a car!" He said offering a lift.

"That's fine, that way we don't have to take the bus anymore!" Leviathan took Edelweiss' hand and led her to the car park.

Edelweiss turned to Ryan who looked at her disappointedly while she didn't know what to say. Leviathan held her hand tightly, for some reason her grip felt very warm.

"Can you stop smoking? There's a pregnant woman here!" Ryan said firmly when he saw Leviathan continuing to smoke even though they were in the car.

Even though he had been warned, Leviathan didn't seem to care. Meanwhile, Edelweiss, who was sitting next to him, tried to hold back the feeling of discomfort because of his attitude.

"Stop smoking, you're annoying other people!" Edelweiss said.

"This cigarette is really good, I've never tasted anything this good." Leviathan said while taking out a cigarette case from his coat.

"You're a cigarette addict, Mr. Levi?" Lyra asked.

"Not really, I only smoke when I find it or manage to steal it from someone."

"You stole cigarettes?"

"I got the cigarettes I smoked from a shop, they seem to be the most expensive ones."

He said it very casually even though he had just admitted his actions as a thief. Edelweiss's face turned red with embarrassment, she didn't know why she had to deal with embarrassing and troublesome creatures like this.

"You stole and you feel proud?" Ryan said. From the tone of his voice, Edelweiss already felt that he was going to get a very scary interrogation from Ryan.

He couldn't stop swallowing hard, trying to get rid of the anxiety in his heart. If possible, he would love to silence Leviathan's mouth.

"Everyone steals, right? What's wrong with stealing?"

"Of course it's wrong! Stealing is an evil act and the perpetrator will be punished!" Edelweiss said in protest.

"Then all humans in this world should be punished, because all humans are thieves."

"Who says all humans are thieves? Only bad people do it!"

"Hmm...really? Have all the good humans in this world never stolen the life of a creature? You take the fish in the ocean and consider them yours, kill insects and consider them pests, cut down the trees in the forest and consider it yours. You are thieves, stealing the lives of other creatures and considering it your right as humans."

"But those are two different things,"

"Two different things? Can me stealing a pack of cigarettes from someone make him homeless or even die because of losing his cigarettes? Is what I do much worse than humans who steal the lives of other creatures for the reason that those are two different things different?"
