Chapter 21: Bad Energy

Edelweiss opened the door to her apartment with Leviathan standing behind her as if waiting to enter. Edelweiss let out a breath that felt very heavy. Ryan saw him bring Leviathan to his apartment and even though Ryan was silent and didn't say anything. He knew what Ryan was thinking.

"Should you come in too?" He said annoyed.

"I'm your girlfriend, I should live with you, right?"

"Who decided that? You're not my boyfriend and you're not even human. Besides, why did you suddenly reveal your form in front of Ryan and Lyra?"

"You're curious, aren't you?"

"You really like playing with people, don't you?"

"Hahaha... compared to that girl, you are nothing. You only win on the chest!"

Plaaaakkk...

Annoyed, Edelweiss slapped Leviathan who kept bringing up the size of her breasts.

"Why did you slap me?"

"You should be grateful for being slapped, if you were human, you would have been kicked to death!"

Edelweiss entered her apartment and hurriedly closed the door before Leviathan entered. But as he had expected, this strange demon could just come in from nowhere. He was even in the kitchen to check the cupboards and refrigerator.

"Where the hell did you come in?"

"Wherever I am, I'm hungry! Make me some food!"

"Who are you to dare order me?"

"I'm your boyfriend!"

"Who are you to dare decide that?"

"Hey, if you're too talkative and protest a lot, no man will want to marry you!"

"Who said I want to get married? I wasn't born just to please men!"

"Hahaha... don't be arrogant, you were just jealous because your childhood friend was with his beautiful girlfriend, right?"

"I don't care, Ryan is free to go out with anyone. We're just friends. Besides, what do you mean by claiming to be my girlfriend? What is your real purpose?"

"Nothing, it's just fun to watch humans fight. Your bad energy is very beneficial for me."

"Bad energy? What does that mean?"

"Every time a human's heart is filled with bad feelings. Those feelings will turn into negative energy and the demons around will gain strength from that negative energy. It's like you are giving free food to the demons. Just so you know, I am a demon which represents one of the great human sins, namely envy and jealousy. So, the feeling of jealousy that the three of you feel makes me stronger."

Edelweiss was stunned, she didn't expect that Leviathan would deliberately appear because she had guessed from the start that this would happen.

"Did you know that would happen?"

"The devils know what will happen if humans are influenced by their instigation or if the humans manage to escape their instigation. The devil's goal is to have a bad influence and also to open up opportunities for that bad influence to occur. Therefore humans are always given two choices and when humans don't know what results they will get from the choices they make, we demons already know."

"But I didn't see any other devil besides you,"

"I am Leviathan and I would hate for another demon to try to take my precious prey."

Leviathan smiled and his smile made Edelweiss feel scared. He really didn't know how to deal with Leviathan because he always used unexpected methods.

"Then I'm lucky because my woman is Edelweiss, not you."

That sentence kept ringing in his brain and for a moment, he felt so impressed when Leviathan said that sentence. He kept remembering it until without realizing it, his face turned red and felt hot.

"Earlier why did you say that you feel lucky because your woman is me. What do you actually think of me?"

"Mau is my prey, is it still unclear?"

"Is that so? Okay, I understand. It turns out it's easier to drag me to hell than other women, right?"

"If it was easy to drag you to hell, then a devil like me wouldn't have to bother coming out of my hiding place just to find you. Besides, why did you change your mind at all? Wouldn't it be better if you just gave up and died? You're just making things difficult for me!"

"Hahaha...I'm sorry for causing you trouble. Alright, tonight I'll cook for you!"

Edelweiss opened the refrigerator, took out meat, potatoes, mushrooms and carrots. Continue cutting all the ingredients deftly. Meanwhile Leviathan waited on the table while munching on potato chips and boxed milk.

After the food is cooked, he serves the beef stew in a bowl complete with pieces of bread.

"Please eat, remember! I'm only cooking for you tonight. After that, please just go!"

"I'm not God who can grant your wishes!"

Even though he had been fed, Leviathan still protested. He ate the stew quickly without saying anything or at least giving a little praise.

"How does it taste? Isn't it delicious?"

"I don't know, I don't understand human food. I just eat it because I want to eat!"

"But at least you can appreciate my hard work for wanting to cook for a devil like you."

"If you want to hear praise, you should invite your friend to eat!"

"You mean Ryan?"

"Who else? You're definitely not popular with men, so the only man who would bother to compliment her is him."
