Chapter 158: Love in Bloom: The Birth of Our Babies

The month of March had just begun. The impending arrival of her children and Din's proposal on Valentine's Day made Jessie very happy. She'd been preparing her mind about having a fancy white wedding after a few months of childbirth.

Din was a sweet man, and she couldn't stop loving him. They had also moved past their past, and they had been content ever since.

"Do you like this yellow dress on me?" Din heard Jessie say as she turned to face him. She was getting ready for a Saturday picnic with the girls while he was on the bed working on his laptop. They would prefer to go on a picnic before she gives birth because they are aware that once motherhood begins, Jessie won't have the time to spend time with them.

Din nodded. "You look good in everything."

"I do." When Jessie got close to him, she kissed him on the lips. "I'm leaving right away. The girls will be furious if I come a little too late."

"Alright. Have a nice day, my love." Din observed Jessie reaching for the door, but as she was leaving, she suddenly moaned in agony and held the door for support. "Jessie?" He ran to her after setting his laptop down on the bed. "Jessie." He held her in his arms. "Are you okay?"

Again moaning, she raised an eyebrow at him. "M-my water broke."

"Eh?"

She yelled, "I'm in labor!"

"Now?"

"Yes, now!" She exhaled and inhaled as she drew away from him. Call for help. I am in pain."

Din quickly grabbed his phone and made a call to Taylor right away. When he informed Taylor of the circumstance, the girls had arrived in the room in less than a minute.

"I'll give the hospital a call. Please help her down the stairs."

"Can you walk?" Taylor asked. She encircled Jessie's shoulder with her arms.

Slowly, Jessie nodded. "I think I can manage." She had Taylor, Bev, and Sierra to thank for helping her down those stairs. Din hurried down the stairs and tried to calm Jessie down while waiting for the ambulance. She exerted all of her strength to contain it.

She kept reminding herself that there were three babies inside her, so she couldn't let anyone fall. She cried out in agony while clenching her hands tightly and holding the pain inside.

Thankfully, the sound of the ambulance siren can be heard. Din rushed outside to meet the doctor. "She is in labor."

"You said that, Mr. Cooper. She will be just fine.'' The doctor and his assistants entered the room pulling a carrier behind them. Jessie was put on the carrier before being driven to the vehicle. Din came in and held her hand as they were taken to the hospital by the ambulance.

The others rode along in a different vehicle. Along the way, Sierra called Cedric and the rest of the family. Once at the hospital, Jessie was brought to the delivery room, and Din was asked to remain outside. On the outside, he appeared fearless, but on the inside, he was terrified.

"How is she?" Bev ran over to Din.

He turned away to take a seat and said, "Inside the operating room." His thoughts weren't at ease. He desired to see Jessie and for their infants to be in good health.

"I called the rest of the family, including Granddad. They are on their way." Sierra remarked as she sat down next to him. "Jessie's going to be fine. She is a strong woman."

"I agree. She is a strong woman."

About 50 minutes passed while they all waited for the door to open. The doctor walked out, and Din ran to him. "Congratulations. Your wife and your babies are fine."

"Can we go and see them?" Sierra asked.

"The father can go first. After that, you all can go and visit." He looked at Din. "She is in the recovery room. You should go now." He told Din the room number of Jessie's room. When he arrived, he walked inside after opening the door. Jessi.e was feeling weak, but her eyes were opened. She could see Din coming toward her.

"Hey." She said.

"Hey." He walked up to her and gave her a forehead kiss. Jessie grinned at him before turning her head in a different direction.

"Say hi to them." To him, she said. Din stood up and moved toward the location where his infants were kept. They were excused by the nurse who was with them. As he observed his children, Din felt butterflies in his stomach. They were really tiny. He swiveled to face Jessie. "I am a father," he said happily.

Weakly, Jessie laughed. "Carry them and bond."

He reached for the first child. He couldn't tell which was a boy or a girl because they all had the same appearance. "Is this a boy?" He turned to face Jessie. Jessie chuckled while shaking her head.

"That's the girl. The other is also a female. The boy is the last one."

"They look the same. I couldn't even tell." After a while, he let go of the first one and picked up the others. When he was finished playing with the infants, Din sat back with Jessie. "Are you okay?"

"I just feel worn out. And bored. Have you seen my phone at all? I looked, but I couldn't find it."

"I did. You left it on the couch." He reached into his pocket and gave Jessie the phone. As soon as Din turned his attention back to the children, Jessie's phone beeped. Sky had sent a message. It was regarding her upcoming tour. As she turned to face Din, she could see his joy. At this point, she had no chance of telling him about it. She couldn't bring herself to ruin his happiness with her dreams because he appeared so content.

"Thank you, Sky," she wrote in response to the message. "I am excited to learn that I will soon embark on a tour." She gave Din another glance and gave it some thought. Did she really want to get married when her dreams were right in front of her? She's always wanted this, after all. To be a star. Would she give up that in order to start a family?
