Chapter 75: Wrong

“Every single one of the witches lost their lives because of a dosage that was not measured properly?” Brandon said feeling concerned that it was his race that did this to the witches.

“Yes, I was a very young girl of 7, and I didn’t see it as a punishment for wrong dosage, I saw it as the werewolves looking for who to blame for their losses and the witches were the closest so they put the blame there. I know what you’re here for Brandon, I’m sorry, I’ll not lend my hospitable hands to anyone who was part of the movement that killed my parents.

“The one I have come to ask help for is not a white stone pack member and just like you, she lost her parents to wicked werewolves” Brandon said trying to plead with her sympathy.

“What do you mean by that?” She said furrowing her brows in curiosity.

“She lost her parents at a young age too, a particular werewolf was greedy and wanted all the privileges of the four packs to himself and when her parents refused to give it, they paid with their lives” Brandon said and the room fell silent for a while.

“Take me to her” the lady said and Brandon’s eyes lightened up to hear what she just said.

“Thank you so much, it won’t be much painful would it?” Brandon said concerned about what they were about to do.

“Do you want to save her or not?” Giselle said as she walked past him towards the front.

“I want to save her” Brandon replied.

“Then keep shut and follow me” she said and Brandon became quiet.

They walked out of the house hastily and people saw them, the ones that knew who the woman was kept whispering and murmuring as they all stared at her in a certain manner.

“I wonder what they’re saying” Brandon said as he watched all the white stone pack members look at them with so much hate and disdain.

“Well, I can tell you. They are calling me evil and at the same time they’re wondering what the forbidden one is doing out here” she replied without any care in the world almost like she was already used to being treated like that.

“I don’t know why but I feel that you should come out here and change the mindset of the people, irrespective of the fact that they may feel betrayed by their pack, at least they will also know that it wasn’t entirely your fault” Brandon said and she stopped abruptly.

“Maybe one day, it all depends on if I’m able to save your queen today” Giselle said and Brandon looked stunned, he never told her that she was a queen.

“How do you know that you’re going in here for a queen?” Brandon said as he trailed behind her trying to keep up with the fast pace.

“There is a balance between the world we live in, and the spirit world. When that balance is altered, it is left for the high priestesses to know what went wrong. Last night, that balamce was shaken not by Elaine’s spirit entering there but by the face that Meredith was able to tame the tongue of the god of death” Giselle replied and Brandon’s eyes widened as fear gripped his heart with only the thought of Meredith returning to bring hell to their lives.

“What do you mean by that? Meredith’s gone, she died in the battle of the blue stone pack house” Brandon said as his eyes were filled with fear and worry.

“She died and went to the realm of the fallen souls, on reaching there, she saw it right to take the voice of the god of death and now, she proclaims who dies and who doesn’t” Giselle replied with calmnesss in her voice.

“This is bad” Brandon said.

“It is the worst thing that could ever happen, because as we speak, Meredith is the goddess of death and nothing will change that until she’s dead again which is almost impossible” Giselle said as they finally got to the gates of the citadel and walked in.

“Why do you say so” Brandon said as the more he heard of the issue, the more his heart was broken.

“She have proven to be above many forces by evading death twice, firstly her body was killed by Elaine and when she came back to life, then her soul was killed too, she’s immortal” Giselle replied and this statement hit Brandon like a blow in his face.

“I need to know why you brought me here” Skylar said with rage in his voice as he felt he was being kept against his will.

“You are one of the great forces that will make the chosen one Elaine to reach her goal” the voice replied and what it spoke of confused him.

“What is the meaning of that?” Skylar said with furrowed brows as he was confused with what he just heard.

“It simply means that no matter what you do to plot against her and try to end her, it will only end up bringing her more victories and enhancement in her strength and mastery of her craft” the voice said and Skylar was alarmed, he didn’t expect something like this to happen, he expected there to be sometiing to be able to give him an idea on how to defeat Elaine but instead of that, he was getting a lecture on how his fate and hers might just be intertwined.

“Please send me home” Skylar said with an angry tone and just after that he saw himself fall through a portal and back into his body, he sat up and inhaled sharply.

“Deep breaths son, deep breaths” Damien said as he helped him sit up and held his back so he didn’t fall down again.

“What is it? Why do you look so troubled?” Damien said and there was no response from Skylar, he only stared into blank space.

“Talk to me son, what’s wrong? What did you see there” his father said and he finally replied.

“Elaine is my destiny and my doom, she is the chosen one and I am destined to destroy everything in her path” Skylar said as many thoughts ran through his head.

Skylar thought hard and deep about what he was just told, he had a feeling that he had been wrong in his doing this while, he doubted all his decisions and choices.
