Chapter 59: Don't Talk To Me
Noah's POV:
"It's all my mistake... I shouldn't have shouted on him" I said whilst we were in the waiting room.
"No.. It's my mistake. I should've left when he told me to" Astrid said.
"No its all mine" we heard a voice. I turned around and saw Charlotte.
She was crying and looked like she cried for the entire night. Her hairs were shabby too.
"Noah..." she said.
"I don't want to talk to you. Astrid, go ahead" I said and left the room.
Astrid's POV:
"Do you want to talk to me?" she asked me.
"Yes. Because I believe you have a reason for what you did"
"huh... yes.. But first tell me how is he?"
"I don't know..."
"Tell me why you did this?" I asked.
"A-Astrid... You know I don't feel anything about him"
"That's not a problem. You should have just said that we can be friends. Why did you even..."
"Because I know! I know how much it hurts to be friends with someone you love! It hurts like hell, Astrid, and I don't want him to suffer! He doesn't deserve to suffer!"
"Well, he is suffering more" I said. She looked at me with shame filled eyes.
"I-I am sorry"
"Talk to Noah. Go" I said. She nodded and left the room.
Charlotte's POV:
I went out and saw Noah leaning against a wall. I went to him.
"Noah" I said. He looked at me and sighed. "Leave" he said.
"Don't be like this.."
"Just leave, will you?"
"No"
"Damn!" he said and started going.
"Noah, please!" I said.
"What?" he turned around.
"Forgive me"
"I can't! You know... He was.. He was already suffering so much. Because of his mother. She is in hospital. His dad is not with him. Hell, his dad is so busy that he couldn't even come to see him. He is alone. And all he wanted was you. Why are you like this? He is one of the best guy one can come across. What was there that you hate him?"
"Is it my fault that I don't feel anything for him? Noah, I—"
"No. It's not your fault, but you should leave or whatever will happen will be your fault"
"What will happen?"
"Just leave"
"Noah..."
"LEAVE CHARLOTTE RIGHT NOW!!" he yelled.
I sobbed and ran out of the hospital.
Noah's POV:
I was going berserk.
Even after this condition of him... She is saying it’s not her fault.
I'm not saying that she should've felt something for him.
But at least there is a decency. She should have said no, in a whole lot better way.
I went back to the waiting room.
"Where's Charlotte?"
"I hope you won't talk about it" I requested Astrid.
"Oh god, don't tell me you told her to leave?"
"I said don't talk about it"
"Whatever. Any new updates on Xander?"
"No" I said. "His dad has not come?"
"No. Actually, his mother is also going through some operation. So... He is needed there"
"I can't believe this. Xan.. He is going through so much!"
"I know.. Everything will be alright"
"I hope so" I said.
I hope you get well soon, Xan.
The next day Xan was alright. The doctors said that his hand will take around a month for the nerve to heal itself. He was discharged and was taken home.
We were at his home. Me and Astrid.
"You should go" he said to us. "Sorry Astrid for shouting at you"
"Don't! Don't say sorry, please Xander. It was my mistake" Astrid said.
He smiled at Astrid and then turned to me. "You going?"
"I guess"
"I'm fine. We will keep in touch. Bye"
"Bye" I replied and looked at Astrid. She was worried.
We got out and then I asked her. "What about Charlotte?" she replied.
I thought for a second.
"Contact her" I suggested.
She called her.
"She has gone back... L-Lucas took her"
"Okay" I said and then taking her hand, I took her to her car.
"See. Charlotte is so good. She didn't take my car"
"Because she had his car" I replied.
She sighed at me and then we drove off.
