Chapter 65: Kira
“What?” It was as if several tons of volcano were erupting inside my head.
Why is he suddenly asking me to marry him?
I've always dreamed about my marriage proposal taking place in a fantasy-like place.
A garden of beautiful flowers surrounds both of us, and several colorful birds sing happily as they fly over our heads.
Such a beautiful imagination. Unfortunately, reality was much crueler.
“I…” I looked into Vagamound's eyes, not sure how to reply to him. “I would have to talk to my mom about it,” I answered.
“Don't worry. I've already done that.” He responded.
“What!” My eyes flew open in shock at the unexpected discovery. “You met my mom?”
“Yes, I did. Besides, I've also sent the betrothal gifts to her.” He smiled, seeming to be proud of his actions. “Now all that is left is for you to say yes to my proposal, and then you will become mine. As for the wedding preparation, we can do it whenever you decide on the date.”
“You…” What sort of rush is this?
I hurriedly pushed him away and got down from the bed. “How could you go and meet my mom behind my back?”
“Are you angry? Sorry, I just thought of making it a surprise for you.” He sat up and apologized.
“Well, you've already surprised me.” I turned around and headed for the door.
“Where are you going?”
“Home, to ask my mom why she didn't tell me any of this.”
“Let me go with you.” Vagamound hurriedly stood up and walked over.
“I don't want any accomplice.”
“As the son-in-law, how could I not visit my mother-in-law-to-be? Is that too much?”
What fcking son-in-law?
Looking at Vagamound, who had an innocent smile on his face, my hands felt the itch to hit someone.
“Why did you need to follow me since you two have already met?” I asked.
“No, we haven't.” He shook his head.
“What?” I looked up at him, confused.
“The ones who met your mom were Zanillia's parents, not me.” He explained. “I asked them to help me talk to your mom since I was too shy to do so.”
The lord of the seven realms was shy to meet his in-laws; this is definitely some shocking news.
“Oh… I will inform my mom that we are coming over then. Go get dressed.”

The basket in her hand was filled with used bottles and cans. Belia's mom began to separate the bottles and cans into their designated recycling bin.
A smile spread across her lips as she thought of something.
Her daughter is bringing her lover over; how could she not be happy?
She knew she had made Belia's life pathetic by restricting her movements, but all that she did was for her daughter's safety.
What if she were attacked by some bad guys? That would be—no.
She swiftly shook her head, clearing off the negative thoughts in her mind.
Unknown to her, all the while she had been working, a young woman approached her from behind.
“My lady.”
‘Clang.’ The basket in her hand crashed to the ground, sending the bottles and cans onto the floor.
Her fingers trembled at the hearing of the familiar voice.
She slowly turned around and was met with the face that caused her heart to shake with trepidation.
“Kira.” She called, as if wanting to confirm if the person before her was an illusion or not.
“My Lady.” Tears fell down Kira's cheek as she reached out to hug her. “It's really you, my lady.” She sobbed hard. “I never thought I'd see you again.”
“Kira.” Hearing her words, tears filled Belia's mom's eyes. This was a reunion she had never expected. “Let's go inside.” She invited as they both let go, and led Kira inside the house.
It's been so long; surely, they must have something to say to each other.
Leading Kira into the sitting room, she hurriedly went to the kitchen to make Kira a cup of tea.
“Here.” She placed the cup of warm tea in front of Kira before sitting down.
“Thank you, my lady.” Kira reached for the cup and took a sip.
“Feel free. You don't need to be uncomfortable around me.” A warm smile appeared on her lips.
Seeing a familiar person in this world made her happy.
After so long of leaving the palace, she still felt a longing in her heart to go back home.
But she knew that was impossible, as she didn't want to face Amos, who was so obsessed with power.
“Alright.” Kira smiled and put the cup down.
“So how have you been doing?” Belia's mom asked.
“All is fine, your lady. I was sent here to this world by his majesty to complete a mission.” Kira answered.
“A mission? I see. Uhm… the king, how is he doing?”
“He….” Kira paused and then decided to tell the truth. “My lady, you need to come back home. I fear that with your absence, his highness might really fall into madness. Although he tried to hide it, I could see the loneliness and regret in his eyes.”
“Ah.” Belia's mom heaved a sigh. It seems like it has finally come to this.
“Lady Rong, please come home. His highness truly misses you.” Kira pleaded as she went down on her knees.
Hearing her name, Belia's mom was stunned.
It's been so long since she heard her real name being called.
“Kira.” Rong stretched her hand to lift the kneeling girl. “I understand your predicament, but I don't think it's time yet. Did he actually send you here to find me?”
“No.” Kira shook her head. “He sent me here to find the last orbit.”
“The last orbit?” Rong's reaction was strong, but she quickly composed herself. “Isn't the last orbit with the lord of the seven realms?”
“Yes. He's right here in this world.”
“What!” This time, Rong couldn't hide her strong expression.
Kira continued. “He seems to be searching for the six orbits. The whole seven realms are currently in chaos. The demon clan has begun to take advantage of the situation, striking from the shadows. If the war continues like this, immortality will be extinct forever.”
“You don't have to explain anymore. I understand the situation. It's just that the six orbits aren't with me anymore.”
“What?” Kira was shocked at the lady's answer. “My lady—”
“You don't have to be too shocked. Although it's not in my hands, it's still with me. I sealed the orbs into my daughter's body. Unless the lord of the seven realms himself unseals them, no one else can. Not even me.”
