Chapter 69: 68: Where are you going?

"I wonder where the student council team are?" Kavyaa asked, looking around the canteen.

"They're not going to show up today?" Seo-In said taking a sip of her strawberry milkshake.

"Why not?"

"The Blood Moon probably tired them out last night."

The mesmerising red moon was still vividly fresh in her mind.

"What, that doesn't make sense? You I and the rest of the students here are just fine?"

"Yeah, well not everyone can handle the Moon. Trust me, some people in town claimed to be drained out. It's weird they're so charged up actively by it but come morning, they're so drained out." Seo-In shrugged trying to explain the effects it has on some people.

Kavyaa still couldn't forget the events of last night.

She saw Cloud turning into a wolf and biting at Ricky and throwing him up against a tree like he was some sort of rag doll. Not to mention the fact Mr Finlay phased into his beastly self to try and attack her.

Fortunately, Roman stepped in just in time and saved her from the beastly attack. She couldn't believe that he knocked Mr Finlay's wolf with a punch from his hand. Not to mention the fact that he shot him down and then ruthlessly slashed his throat off bloodily, with his powerful-looking claws.

What was worse was the fact that she couldn't figure out who Alpha Roman truly was. Although she sensed it could be Ethan, she wasn't 100 percent sure. It could be Jaxson, Klaus or him possibly playing the same person behind the mask.

No matter who the hell they were.

There was no way she was going back to Ethan's place.

Alpha Roman lived there, and she had a bad feeling it could be Ethan!

"It's weird I know. Those that turn up to school can't even concentrate, and they're usually passed out or snoring in class since they've been up all night long." Seo-In said, snapping Kavyaa out of her worried thoughts with Ethan Verrono.

She couldn't trust him.

A wild chill ran down her spine. Was he truly a monster? Could he be the type to kill someone?

For Ethan had been nothing but nice and gentle towards her. He was a complete gentleman that valued everyone who worked for him wholeheartedly.

Perhaps there was a different side to him?

After all, he was a rich man with a lot of security.

Still, she couldn't fathom the fact that he could kill someone, or act so rudely and possessively over her. Why would he need to anyway? He had a girlfriend who was 3 times hotter than her.

"Perhaps that's what happened to Theo?"

"Hey, you sure you didn't hear anything last night out in the garden Seo-In?"

How could she not? The way the beasts were growling and snarling at one another last night, surely they would have woken the whole house up. How the hell did Seo-In sleep through all that commotion?

Seo-In shook her head.

"Like I said, I slept like a log after Jaxson came by and gave me hot chocolate." She smiled blushing out.

Hot chocolate?! Could Jaxson have put something inside to knock her out? Come to think of it, he offered her some hot chocolate too, didn't he? Forget the hot chocolate, for now, the way she was talking about Jaxson worried Kavyaa.

"Seo-In no!"

"No what?"

"Please tell me you're not falling for Jaxson?!"

This girl was in trouble if she was. Kavyaa still didn't know much about Jaxson, other than the fact that he was Ethan's right-hand man in almost everything.

"Oh my god, are you too? I mean have you not seen how hot and drool-worthy he is? Oh my god, are you my rival?" Seo-In said easily speaking like she was over-crazy Theo.

Kavyaa smacked her forehead. This girl easily fell in love with the wrong guys too fast.

"I have zero feelings for him and you should too."

"What? No way. Jaxson is cool and sweet and caring and I like how he smiles and he's so..."

"Seo-In, he's dangerous, don't fall for him please!" Kavyaa said trying her level best to warn her. Seo-In fell silent and gave her an odd look, lifting her brow.

"Dangerous?" Seo-In had her attention now.

"Seo-In listen to me. You were drugged last night."

"What?!"

"Jaxson put you to sleep with the hot chocolate he tried to do the same with me. But I didn't drink it. I escaped through my window, to try and look for Ricky."

"You did what?" Seo-In was surprised.

"Look, I didn't see Theo last night, but I saw Ricky, Cloud and the rest of the student council team were all there, as well as Alpha Roman."

"You saw the boogie man?" Seo-In said in her excited yet shocked whisper.

"Yeah, more than once. Look, I don't want you getting involved with Ethan or his gang. You see them, you walk the other way do you understand?" Kavyaa spoke strictly not joking at all.

Seo-In shook her head and cracked up laughing.

"Seo-In I'm serious?"

"Jaxson warned me about this."

"What?"

"Yeah, he said that you tend to sleepwalk at night whilst in a middle of a dream? Don't tell me you also saw wolves attacking Ricky and Mr Finlay too?"

Jaxson had seen her escape?!

He was more trouble than she thought.

"It's all true! I saw Cloud attacking Ricky and Alpha Roman killing Mr Finlay! I saw werewolves last night Seo! Werewolves are real." She spoke in all honesty in a hushed tone.

Seo-In found that strange and shook her head and rolled her eyes at her.

"Yeah and so are easter bunnies." Seo-In scoffed.

Kavyaa abruptly got up from her seat and frowned at her. Ofcourse she didn't believe her, because werewolves don't exist!

"Hey, where are you going, c'mon, it was just a silly dream, Mia?" Seo-In said trying to convince her otherwise.

"Yeah, then why did you say that you saw Theo's eyes glowing out his eyes at you?"

Seo-In froze in her footstep.

That wild attack by the pool sent instant chills down her spine.

"But that's crazy! I must have been delusional?"

"Well, I believe you, Seo. You're not delusional." Kavyaa said firmly turning on her heel after leaving her speechless.

.

.

.

After school hours, Seo-In went on her way back home, feeling guilty, thinking about Theo. Was he truly a monster like Mia claimed?

Now that she thought about it, after having a couple of sips of the hot chocolate, she'd instantly passed out.

Jaxson drugged her to sleep?

Meanwhile...

Kavyaa made up her mind to not return to that mad house.

She'd return to Mark's house and quickly pack her small duffle bag.

After doing so she got a call on her phone.

Reading the id caller she answered the phone reluctantly.

"Hey, Jaxson." She spoke keeping her tone as neutral and friendly as she always did with him.

"Mia, where are you, we were expecting you to come home for dinner by now?"

HA! That's a big fat NO Jaxson. Like she'd let him know what she was truly thinking. She needed to be smart if she was going to escape his radar too.

"Oh, I'm just at the public library, completing some schoolwork..." She lied whilst stuffing more clothes into her bag.

"Great I'll pick you up?"

HA! NO again Jaxson.

"No need, I've already ordered a Bolt ride, I'll be there in the next hour?" She lied again.

"Is everything ok Mia?"

NO JAXSON EVERYTHING IS NOT FINE!!! You guys are hiding something and I don't want to find out what that is if it puts my life at risk!

"Everything is fine Jaxson, I'll see you home soon."

She quickly ended the call.

.

.

.

"Well?" Ethan asked after seeing Klaus set Finlay's beastly body on fire out in the woods.

"Where is she?"

"No idea, Sasha seemed to have run off when you didn't show up last night."

"Oh, that girl was w3t and horny, did you know she came on to the both of us when we were patrolling the woods?" Klaus said to Ethan making Jaxson shake his head in embarrassment.

Sasha had tackled both the wolves down aggressively and kissed them both in her fiery hot moment. Heat on a blood moon night normally did that to she-wolves.

Luckily Jaxson and Klaus pulled her away and escaped from her before she got close to ripping their clothes out with her claws.

"I don't care where Sasha went or whom she came on to last night. I'm asking about Kavyaa. Where is that girl right now?" Ethan asked with eagerness.

After she'd passed out last night, he was the one that brought her back to her room. He'd kissed her goodnight before he leapt out of her balcony to go hunting. He needed a bad hunt after he'd protected her from a brutal attack from Finlay.

"At Mark's house."

Ethan let out a deep dissatisfied growl.

{R} WTF is she doing there?

"Want me to fetch her?" Klaus asked, knowing she'd put up a fight with him the last time she'd been with him. An apology from him would hopefully get her to come home.

"No. I'll get her myself. It's time I told her the truth."

{R} Finally!

.

.

.

Kavyaa walked down the country road.

She felt sad and betrayed by Mark.

How could he leave her here?!

There were plenty of times she felt like going to the cops, but what would she say?

Nobody would believe her if she claimed to see werewolves. Or the fact she saw her teacher being killed by a masked man with claws. That sounded too crazy.

A fast car came down the road.

Kavyaa was too busy lost in her werewolf thoughts to notice it.

"Going somewhere Kavyaa?" Her guardian's voice suddenly snapped her out of her thoughts.

Kavyaa came to an abrupt stop when his black car blocked her path.

She was shocked to see Ethan come out.

Wait hold on!

Did he just say my real name?

"Www..what?" She asked puzzled by what he just said.

A short smirk graced his scared face, making Kavyaa grow nervous.

She wanted to shout and run away from him. But how could she possibly do so, when he hadn't done anything to harm her?

Remain calm! She chanted to herself.

"I said are you going somewhere, Mia?" This time he used her fake name to keep her at ease.

Lie! Her mind screamed.

She clutched her duffle bag tightly. This man just killed someone! She couldn't prove if it was him. However, she knew something was off about him and his aura from the minute she met him. He didn't have a natural aura like a human.

His aura was wild, like that of a beast.

Silver her friendly wolf suddenly flashed her mind.

No don't be ridiculous Kavyaa. Ethan couldn't be Silver.

Ethan was no doubt a beast.

A beast that killed someone.

Someone that she used to know.

Moreover, the man in front of her was not ordinary. She couldn't believe he was something out of the horror books.

Unfortunately for her, she had no idea that she had a run-in with him before. In his true form, he now hid away behind his sharp gaze upon her.

"I'm...I'm just going hh..home." She stuttered.

{R} You're home is with me, sweetheart.

They both knew she had gone the wrong way. It was clearly out of town. Still, her temporary guardian understood her intentions.

Escape from him.

He would never allow her to do that, especially since she intrigued him too much. For he sensed she wasn't quite human herself.

He opened up the car door for her, like the perfect gentleman.

"Come on get in. After all, you don't want to be heading home alone at this hour of the night?"
