Chapter Sixty Seven; Delicious Manly Scent

Miya’s POV

He was trying to make some small talks, but I really wasn’t interested in anything he was saying, I was already thinking of how to carry him as he has said.

He was big and huge, he should be at least one hundred pounds and what’s worse, he’s not even wearing any cloth, if I was to carry him, should it be bridal style or just carry him from his knees, he has really put me in a very tight spot.

It would definitely be a hard task, so the best thing to do was to get rid of the obstacle, just carry him anyhow once and for all or you will never get the end of his batter.

I summoned all my wolf energy and picked him up from his knees, also using wolf speed, I ran with him in my hand to the living room.

I was beginning to think that these people had suddenly ganged up against me in this short time.

I replied back trying to reason with her, I really didn’t want to stay back with this Alpha, the thought of it was getting very annoying.

I hung my head dejectedly and didn’t say anything else.

Seeing that I didn’t say anything again after what she had said, she knew that she had won.

She took up her kit and turned to look at the man who was lying with his back to us and said in an elevated voice.

“Alpha, I’ll get going now, Miya will stay back and take care of you for the meantime, I’ll come back to check on you, if there’s anything before then just tell her and she’ll call me”

He didn’t even bother to look at us so Jamie went ahead and left me and him.

But why is he still lying down, he could have at least said bye to her or acknowledge her statement, could it be that I underestimated the cold that he was feeling?

Am I really a bad person, here was a suck nan and I was here already trying to judge him instead of taking care of him, I better redeem myself.

I immediately got up and headed to my favorite place in every house, the almighty kitchen.

I was lucky that there were a lot of fruits and vegetables and fibers in the kitchen, it seems he recently went grocery shopping.

Seeing the large amount of fresh groceries in the fridge, my hunger was ignited so much that I couldn’t help it.

“I’ll just cook rice and stew now then make the soup later, after all the man us already at sleep”

I got the rice cooker and washed the rice then put it on fire, then I brought tomatoes onions and bell pepper and fried them to make the stew.

I liked making myself comfortable whenever I cooked and luckily for me, there was a thirty inch flat screen television in the kitchen.

I found the remote switched on the television, finding a channel that was playing a song, I settled for it and sang to the song Here without you by three doors dawn that was playing from the television.

I sang to the song that seemed to resonate with me, it made me remember the one person that I loved and at the same time hate the most.

I was totally not surprised that he was in the kitchen, it was his house after all but I thought he was sleeping, for how long did he sleep?

Had time really flew just when I sang this song? I turned to look at my pot of food opening both the rice and stew, I saw that it was not done.

“Ah good, it meant that time didn’t fly, am still in the present”

“What are you cooking? The aroma had woken me up from sleep and I couldn’t go back without making sure you were not wasting my groceries”

He was so close to me, his head was right above my shoulder as he also peeped a look at the pot of food, his voice was a bit husky probably from his sleep and I could feel the warmth radiating rom his body.

He was so close that I would make body contact with him if I just flinched so I stood still and inhaled his delicious manly scent that was now mixed with the sweet smell of my infamous tomato stew.

Trying so hard to distract myself from it but I was still affected by his statement, he had said the aroma of my food invited him here but he still found a way to make me angry with his second statement.

“Alpha, did you just compliment my food without even tasting it? Then you’ll enjoy it once am done, why don’t you go back and rest?”

The next minute, I was facing the opposite direction, someone who was so weak due to sickness that he couldn’t even five giant steps into his house was now man handling the whole me.
