Chapter Sixty Six: An Overreacting Rich Man
Miya’s POV
These three days has been one of the happiest days of my life, in the morning I go to the gym, exercise and learn some important health words or moves or first aid treatment to give to people injured in the spot, I felt like a trainer doctor if that’s even a thing.
Not only that, we go back to the hospital, take a hot shower and eat lots of food, at the end of the day, I get to keep the clean used clothes and still enjoy my wages for the day.
If that was how I as supposed to pay my hospital bills, I don’t mind it at all, in fact I like it.
Since I was beginning to like what I did, I endeavored to be ready on time and come out early to wait for Jamie as opposed to other days when she would have to find and look for me.
It’s even more exciting how close we have become with each other ever after we started working together, she became like the elder sister I don’t have.
Just when she parked in front of the orphanage, I ran to enter the car, this time, I was no longer late.
“So what do we do today?”
“Well yesterday we finished the first aid training, we’ll be out in the field today”
“Yay finally, there will be physical training involving fists this time right?”
“Tululu”
Jamie’s phone suddenly rang out of the blue cutting our conversation short.
After the short call, she reversed and turned the vehicle of the car towards the opposite direction.
We were so close to each other now so I could comfortably ask her what was happening.
“Oh I just got a private call, we’ll have to check on someone who has cold”
“Cold?” Isn’t that just a minor sickness? Why does the person have to disturb you this morning”
I mean it’s barely eight in the morning and she already has someone on her neck all because of cold?
“Miya, I am not disturbed, I am a doctor, this is what I do, you know, heal the sick”
“Whatever Jamie, I still think this person is just overreacting after a day of drinking hot soup, he’ll be perfectly fine sand besides what of the training”
I really did not want to miss my work because of some rich brat that could just order for home service, I don’t care who the person is, but I already hate him or her.
“Why are you whining like a child?”
“That’s because I don’t want the training to be canceled today because of a rich spoilt person”
“We’ll definitely come back once we are done, you are just over reacting”
I didn’t think I was over reacting, what I said made total sense or so I thought until we parked in front of a familiar house, Alpha’s House.
“No wonder you had to come”
Of cause, it’s the Alpha who is sick, no wonder she had to run back to him, these set of people that think they ruled the world, he couldn’t even go to the hospital.
Who knows, he may even complain that only Jamie would not be able to heal him of the cold, arrant nonsense.
“Haha well am glad you understand c’mon let’s go in”
“Why do I have to go in?”
She’s the doctor, I am just an assistant and besides, I really didn’t want to see this Alpha, he never misses a chance to remind me that I don’t belong to a pack and I would probably never belong to his. The last thing I want to do is to be close with a narrow minded person like me.
“Arm! Maybe because you are my assistant and you should carry my kit?”
She was right.
“Nah just kidding, didn’t you say you like this doctor job and want to fully learn so that when you go to school you can easily become one? We’ll I am giving you a free opportunity to shadow under me so you can learn most of the things, it’ll take some years off of your Med school”
She was right again arh, it baffles me how she just kept m as king sense e we with her logic words.
I am very reluctant but I don’t have any choice, me and my mount for lying about liking this doctor’s work, I only said that to make her feel good, if only I one someday it would be used against me, I wouldn’t have said it.
“Let’s go.”
I carried the giant medical kit and followed closely behind her until w reached the front door.
After knocking, a man wearing just bath towel on his torso opened the door, the first thing I did was to look at Jamie to see her reaction.
She still looked normal as if she was not looking at a shirtless man in front of her, I looked back at him again and couldn’t help appreciating the fine work of art on his finely sculptures chest area.
He had a broad chest and had some light hair making him look very sexy, all if a sudden even his face was not as unpleasant as I had remembered it to be.
“What are you doing here?”
A handsome person like him had to be so dumb and annoying at the same time, couldn’t he see me holding this big kit in my hand? He was lucky that he had people like Jamie who were willing to peacefully explain things to him.
Finally he sent allowed us to enter, after walking a few steps, they were talking about me, I stopped to listen but it was Jamie who came to me telling me to bring Alpha Xavier inside to the parlor.
At this point, I really didn’t know what was happening But this was work and I was woeking, I had to donwhat my superior said to
do.
I went to ask him how he wanted me to help him enter inside the house that belinged to him, and he made me laugh.
"Carry Me" he had said, a grown as man was telling a young woman like me to carry him, is the world coming to an end? why is iniquity abounding now ahh!
