Chapter 40: Me And My Brother

Mel's PoV

"Where are we going now?" I asked while pushing his wheelchair.

"At home maybe?" he answered questioningly.

"Ehhhh? Let's go for a walk first! Even for a place who have animals or maybe let's go to the town square," I suggested and I knew there was nothing he could do now.

"All right," he simply replied. I kept pushing him until we were out of the hospital. He stood up and I put the wheelchair aside and waited for us to board, a few minutes later there was a taxi in front of us. I opened it and let my older brother in first. The driver opened the compartment and helped me put our luggage. When we finished, I got on board and just smiled at my older brother. I told the driver where we lived, and he just nodded after it. A few minutes later we arrived at our house, and then the driver came down and we put down our belongings. My older brother just went straight inside the house and I was the one carrying our luggage after I paid for the ride.

"Dress right away nii-san!" I even shouted when I finished bringing inside what we were carrying. I also went up to my room and cleaned myself, when I finished I went to brother's room.

"Can you drive now?" I even asked him as he dressed and it was obvious that the abs on his belly was slowly disappearing.

"Nii-san, you should exercise too," I said and went straight into his room.

"Well, can you drive?" I repeat my question.

"Of course.. I'm not that crippled, okay!" he said and was just wearing normal attire.

"Let's just jeep on the way to school and get your car," I suggested and stood up.

"Oumm," he only answered and I left his room, I took my small bag and went downstairs and went to the living room. When he got down, I went out and he followed, and I locked our door.

"Hey there!" I shouted at the oncoming jeep as I raised my hand. I don't need to support my older brother anymore because he can do it.

"Why aren't you wearing your glasses?" I asked 'cause he's to attractive.

"Besides, why do you have your mouth and nose covered?" I added.

"Firstly I'm not used to my glasses, and secondly I don't want people to hit me," he said as I changed my facial expression. I didn't answer yet and it's true what he said that people will really beat him up, especially those girls who're too eager to hold him.

When we arrived at the school, the guard greeted us and did not look at my brother. Then we went to where his car was and now it was full of dust.

"That's the result of your car when you're asleep! Well now it's full of dust," I teased him and he just slapped me in my head.

"Asleep my ass! I just wish you cleaned it up!" he shrugged and just pressed his key and his car rang. I entered the other door next to my older brother's chair.

"Where are we going now?" he asked as he started the engine.

"Let's go to the mall first to buy something to eat," I replied and he just nodded.

"Okayy," he replied and started the car. He was just driving quietly while I was just looking at my cellphone.

"What else can nii-san not remember about?" I asked in my mind and just let out a sigh.

"Is there a problem Mel?" he asked when he heard that.

"Ah nothing, I'm just worried about you because maybe there's someone else when you can not remember," I replied and looked at him.

"Hmmm? The last thing I remember is the one I had a debate with.. but I don't remember who my opponent is," he replied and he really couldn't remember Alex even it was twenty-four hours ago.

"Is that so? All right, don't even think about it," I said and just looked out the window. We got to the mall without a hitch then we just bought some chips and drinks and eventually we went back to his car.

"Where's next?" he asked as he got on board.

"Hmm in the park probably, I know there aren't many people there," I said and opened a bag of chips.

"You want?" I asked while I still had food in my mouth.

"Ahhhh," he said as he opened his mouth. I put food in his mouth and he closed it.

"What the heck! Put it nicely!" he had difficulty shouting because there was a chips about to fall out of his mouth.

"Is that my mouth, huh?" I said and just laughed. When we got to the park, he parked his car first and then I came down carrying the cellophane with a lot of chips

I just walked around and brother followed, I also looked for a place to sit or hang out with us. I stopped at the small bridge with a waterway and various kinds of fish.

"Do you think.. why did you only just forget about Alex?" I asked him.

"I don't know... maybe he's not as important as you think," he replied and I agreed with what he was saying.

"You don't really remember about him or even remember his face?" I asked forcefully.

"Not really Mel.. besides what did he do well for me?" he asked in astonishment.

"Hmmm, I don't know either. All I know is that he saved you when that beat beat you up," I replied while looking at the swimming fish.

"Wait! Why is he the one we're talking about?" he asked in surprise and I averted my eyes and walked away from him.

"Hey don't avoid me, Mel! Hey!" he shouted and chased me.

"When you can remember him... I'll tell you my past with him," I said while putting chips on my mouth.

"You have a past with him?" he asked stunned.

"Yes," was my short reply.

"Ehhh? What kind of past is it?" he asked and took his chichirya.

"It's a secret! Maybe I'll call you gossiper there!" I shouted and just laughed at him.

"Mel! Get really ready, 'cause I will find out the truth!" he shouted and chased me.

We stopped running because brother seemed to be out of breath, we just sat on the grass and continued drinking and eating.

"Perhaps you didn't remember about the family day too, are you?" I asked and he seemed surprised by my question.

"T-there is?" he muttered.

"Yes.. after that I just heard that you slept," I replied sadly.

"Why are you saying I'm sleeping!?" he asked angrily.

"Calm down! That might make your blood boil!" I also laughed at him because his appearance was already wrinkled.

"What I'm saying is that you're asleep because you're asleep! What should I say then? That you're in a coma!?" I asked jokingly.

"Isn't that so?" he asked again.

"Perhaps it is. As a matter of fact you've been blindfolded for a month? HAHAHA," I laughed hard and he just punched me.

"You're pure sarcasm! You witch!" he shouted and I laughed at him even more.

We just fought and laughed, I told him everything that happened to me when he was still asleep. And I feel like I'm getting even closer to my handsome brother.
