What the hell is he talking about, when did I have a boyfriend. Wait; is this what I was thinking?
“Who told you?”
“Is this true?”
“Answer me first, who told you?”
“Everyone is saying that you're being dropped and picked up by some guy” Fuck!! People and their curiosity in others life, SUCKS!!!!!
“Tell me”
“What?”
“Do you or no”
“No I don’t have a boyfriend”
“Then why are you not going on a date with me?”
“I can’t”
“Why?”
“Because I’m pregnant”
“WHAT!!!!!!!?????” I didn’t tell him what actually happened, but I said I unexpectedly became pregnant. He didn’t say a single word, he just kept quiet.
“So who is the person dropping you?”
“Father” I shrugged showing my stomach
“He is okay with the pregnancy?”
“I think” he nodded and smiled. He went back to his place and started working. I don’t think I need to explain it to him. I got back to my work.
It is five in the evening; I think I should stop now and get back home. I need to rest. I’ll wait outside for Mr. First. I took my things and started.
“Ell, wait” Mike shouted. I stopped “I’ll drop you, Ell” he said with his sincere tone. Why?
“Sorry Mike, he’ll come to pick me up”
“Oh okay, then I’ll walk you out” he said, why now?
“Okay” I said. We both walked together.
“I’ll wait here Mike, you can go”
“No Ell, I’ll wait until you get into the car” I narrowed my eyes but, he didn’t mind. What the heck, why is he so interested in me and my personal life.
Thank god Mr. First arrived; he came to me and planted a beautiful kiss on my temple.
“Hey beautiful, you look exhausted, come let’s get you home”
“Mike, this is Jacob” I introduced him,
“Mike”
“Jacob” they shook their hands
“So you are the Father?”
“Yes I am” he said proudly. He should be.
“Nice to meet you Mike but, we should leave” he shook his hand with Mike; Mike opened his mouth to say something but, stopped.
“Come on Mrs. First, let’s go home” he took my hand and I turned towards Mike to wave but, he was in shock. His jaw is literally on the floor. Why is he in shock? Fuck Ell!! You were just called as Mrs. First. Of course he’ll be in shock.
“Why did you call me Mrs. First?”
“Because I can” obviously he can, I didn’t even resist.
“Looks like you have a list of followers” he said
“What followers?”
“Nothing, come I’ll make you a new dish” What list? What followers? Never mind Ell, today he is going to make a new dish. But, how did he know that I’m carving. He and his psychic abilities. I got freshened, changed into night pants and walked into the dining hall. There, he is busy preparing meal and Nat on the chair talking with him. I joined them.
“Hey beautiful. Hungry?” I nodded
“In two” he winked. He completed his cooking and served us. His cooking skills were as usually amazing
“Jake, you would have definitely become a chef” Nat appreciated, he smiled
“I wish Nick had these cooking skills too” Nat said and turned to me “you are lucky Ell” Lucky yes, but not me, our baby. I looked at him. He is looking down and smiling. Awe his dimples, this time I’ll take the charge and do the things I wanted to. We completed our delicious supper. Thanks to him, I don’t have to worry about what to cook or what to eat.
“Mrs. First” he murmured in my ear. I looked at him with a question mark face. He tightened his grip around my waist and kissed my temple. That gesture made me move a bit. I looked at Nat; she was busy with her phone. I think she didn’t notice
“Can I ask you something?” he murmured. I nodded
“This weekend can you stay at my place?” he pleaded. His place, Should I? I think there we can get some privacy for his actions. He stayed here with me for two consecutive weekends. I think he is having some inconvenience coming here, maybe privacy. I nodded
“Thank you” he hugged me tightly and he planted a thank you kiss on my lips.
“I really want to stay with you to night but, sorry I have some work” he said. He thought of staying with me, tonight, good, but he has to go. He hugged me hard and kissed me deeply.
“Until tomorrow” he winked and left. I went back and was about to sit
“Ell” I looked at her
“I think Jake likes you” I wish it was true. I smiled and sat beside her.
I opened my eyes , there is something beside me. I don’t know whether to look at it or not. I don’t know what is it, my heart is racing, beat increased and my body is sweating not like what Mr. First said it really is sweating. But, I can’t stay like that forever, come-on Ell bring up your confidence. You are brave, you can do it. I took a deep breath and slowly turned to the other side; someone is sitting on the edge of the bed. They are talking on the phone. So that is a person not a ghost, but who is that?
“Okay, Steven” wait, that voice, I have heard it....it is his, Mr. First’s. I woke up and sat with legs folded ; I rubbed my eyes and looked at him. He is fully dressed in his office look attire. I think he came here on his way. But why? I looked around I think it is 6 in the morning no sun rays nothing....He turned to me, I can’t see his expressions
“I’ll get back to you, Steven” he hung and placed his mobile beside
“Sorry to disturb you from your sleep. Sleep, it is too early” he kissed my forehead
“What is the time now?”
“Six” this early, what is he doing now here? I looked at him for his answer
“My meeting got cancelled” he pulled me into his arms and gave a soft kiss on my forehead. We both fell on the bed and curled. My head on his chest and my arms around him in his curls, his hands around me we both lay on bed. I wish I have this daily. I closed my eyes.
“Hey sweetie, wake up” he murmured, I want to wake but, I am sleepy. No I have to go. I stretched and opened my eyes. He is still in the same dress but is sitting beside me.
“Good morning, beautiful” he kissed my forehead
“Good morning”
“Come it is eight already” said with his bright smile. His lovely smile. I’ve slept for two hours; I must talk to Dr. Brown about my sleep-wake cycle. I got up and went to get freshen.
