Chapter 19 Forever

Chapter 19 Forever
Our lips separate quickly with an audible smack in the air. Our breaths coincide as they come out loud and fast. My body is still leaning against his, moving slightly with every breath.

Although we got interrupted by someone coming into his house, he doesn’t make any moves to separate us. Instead, we both stay in the same position, just staring deeply at each other.

“Did you put up the lawn furniture? If not, it’s going to get soaked-” A male voice stops as it enters the kitchen.

This seems to fully wake us up. I push myself back to separate our bodies, already missing the warmth from his touch. He seems to feel the same as he brings himself upright, standing at his full height, but he doesn’t let me separate us much, reaching out to pull me back to his body. His arm rests around my wasit making my hip rest against his, and although we’re in front of someone I assume is his friend, I don’t mind the contact. I think physical touch is definitely his love language, and with him and him only, I think it might be mine.

“Uh, sorry, I didn’t realize you had company.” The tall, lanky boy with a black buzz cut scratches behind his neck sheepishly.

I steal a glance at Alec, noting the glare adorning his face. I’ve noticed he glares at other people frequently, but I’ve never seen that glare pointed at me.

“It’s okay. I’m Anna. I’m guessing you’re Noah?” I step in, hoping to ease Alec’s frustration.

He smiles, looking at me, nodding. “Yeah, I’m Noah. It’s nice to finally put a face to your name. All we hear about these days is Anneliese.”

I swear I hear a low growl come from beside me, making him stop.

“Sorry, Anna.” He corrects my name, continuing before I could question the sound. “Anna this and Anna that. I was starting to wonder if you’re even real.” He pokes fun at Alec, making him shake his head.

“And I was wondering if you were an imaginary friend he just blamed his messes on.” I say with a teasing smirk.

This makes Noah howl with laughter. He even grabs the counter, bending over to laugh harder.

“I like you Anna, you’re gonna be great for this one.” He points at Alec coming further into the kitchen to get a drink from the fridge. He’s still laughing to himself when Alec bursts his bubble.

“I couldn’t get the lawn chairs in fast enough. You might want to go get them.”

Noah whips around to look at him with a very not-happy look. “Damnit Alec, I told you those chairs aren’t cheap.”

He shrugs. Noah huffs, trudging to the backdoor and out into the pouring rain to grab our chairs.

“I would’ve grabbed mine if I knew.” I turn into Alec, looking up at him.

The same smile he always has around me is back. “I don’t care about some chairs. He’s the one who obsesses over that shit.” He pushes a strand of hair from my face, putting it behind my ear.

“Are you okay hanging out here until the storm passes? I just don’t want you to walk back in the rain, and it could get really nasty.” He starts to ramble. I love it when he gets nervous with me.

“Yes, I would prefer to stay here and keep dry. It sounds like too much to walk in the woods with.”

He hmms happily, keeping his arm around my waist, and he guides us to the living room. I join him on the couch, sitting next to him. He throws his arm around my shoulders, pulling me in softly against his body. I allow my body to lean into his, and it feels like we’re met for each other.

My body lies completely into his, my head resting on his chest. He’s like my personal heater, and if I had just met him today, I’d be concerned we were running a fever. Noah comes back into the house, standing in front of us in the living room. His clothes are drenched wet and if it weren’t for the towel in his hands, he’d be dripping water on the ground.

“Got the chairs into the garage, not that it makes much difference, they’re already soaked.”

Alec chuckles at him, rubbing his hand on my back. I chuckle too when Noah looks at us, beyond pissed. Leading to him throwing the sopping wet towel at us.

I squeal, pulling away from Alec to avoid the wet towel making it hit Alec square in the face. Noah laughs, running away to his room before he has a chance to react.

“Aww, poor baby, he made you all wet again.” I tease, pulling the towel from him, dropping it onto the floor.

He looks to me with a smirk, “I think you need to join me.”

I try to get up, but he’s faster than light, lunging onto me, wrapping his arms around my waist, keeping me stuck on the couch, him atop me, making me feel wet all over again. My giggles and pleas to stop fill the room as he rubs his chest on my body.

“Please, I’m wet now you win.” I heave out between giggles.

He leans back from me, a gorgeous grin on his face.

“I don’t think you’re wet enough.” The innuendo laced in his words does not miss me, making my face red, and realizing what position we are in. I’m lying on the couch, he’s on top of me, looking up at me from my legs, and the look he’s giving me only feeds that fire.

“Go to your room if you’re gonna have sex, I live here too!!” Noah declares, walking out of his room to the kitchen.

Once again, he kills the mood, making Alec huff, sit up, and pulling me up with him back to our original position. I could stay like this with him forever.

Forever of just being with him.
