Kathleen sent the jewelry over last night. Kara wanted to help her. However, Kathleen took away the two most precious jewelry of her mother's! She was not gonna to help her!
She was not stupid!
Therefore, she signaled Libby not to ask Uncle James down the stairs, but to cooperate with her to fool Kathleen.
But Kathleen was Uncle James' fiancé. If Uncle James found out about her tricks.... She might as well confess earlier.
She was even prepared to be punished by Uncle James for this.
"Last night, Kathleen came to deliver something to me. She said that she wanted to see you. It just so happened that you were busy in the study, so I didn't disturb you."
"OK, sit down and eat breakfast." He looked calm, no one could tell his emotions.
Kara stared at him with her amber eyes, biting her pink lips as she pondered deeply.
Did he mean to say that he would not scold her?
After breakfast, he drove her to school. When she got off the car, Kara couldn't help but bow and apologize to him.
"Uncle James, I'm sorry, I will never do it again!"
James stares at her little head. After a while, he finally remembered that she was talking about Kathleen going to the villa. He skipped this topic directly.
He didn't care about people who weren't important to him!
"Study hard. Tell Nolan if you need anything. OK?"
Kara let out a sigh of relief when she was certain that there was no anger in his tone. She obediently rubbed his palm as he reached out to touch her little head.
This small action delighted James. He felt happy and smiled faintly.
Nolan, who was driving, immediately noticed the smile on Mr. James' face.
This little girl was really amazing. She was able to melt the iceberg with just a small gesture. Wow!
The little girl who was admired by Nolan walked into the classroom and felt that the vibe in the class was strange. Everyone was staring at her, causing her to feel uncomfortable somehow.
After she walked to her seat, Arya patted her shoulder with a meaningful smile on her face.
"Tell me, what does your Uncle James do? I can't believe he could fix Eric and Winifred?"
"He is the president of the SA Group."
"The SA Group?"
Arya opened her eyes wide in shock and stared at her for a few seconds before regaining her senses. She couldn't believe what she heard.
"Quiet!"
Seeing the surrounding students staring at him, Kara quickly covered her mouth.
"Keep your voice down."
Arya blinked her eyes and signaled that she wouldn't tell anyone. Then Kara let her go.
"I hear that the president of the SA Group, James Hemming, is a gorgeous rich guy. Is that true?" Arya asked excitedly.
Kara recalled Uncle James' handsome face. She inexplicably remembered his strong arms and muscle she saw when he came out of the bathroom. What a sexy body he had....
"Kara, your face is blushed! Answer me! Is that true?" Arya raised her eyebrows.
Kara regained her senses and touched her hot cheeks, trying to explain.
"Uncle James helped me because of my father. He is my respected elder. How could anything happen between us?"
Kara knew very well that she was not an adult yet. If she wanted to fight against the Quains, she could only rely on James.
"Uncle James is indeed very handsome, but he always has a stern face. Every time he had a serious face, I would be scared."
Thinking of James' cold expression, her heartbeat couldn't help but accelerate.
"Only a man like this can protect a girl. With James protecting you, I don't have to worry about you when I go abroad." Arya sighed.
Thinking of Arya going abroad, Kara was in a bad mood.
Arya was her only friend and she was very reluctant to leave her.
Arya was not a sentimental person. She changed the topic and asked her to talk about what happened yesterday
"Kara, yesterday, I was the one upset you. How could you get Eric and Winifred expelled from school?"
There was a bit of grievance in the delicate accusation, and both Kara and Arya had a trace of disgust in their eyes.
"A filthy mouth cannot utter decent language. Rose, will Kara also be blamed if you are expelled from school tomorrow?" Arya said mockingly.
This drama queen!
Did she want her ass kicked?
