Chapter 9

Nate's POV:

I decided to follow her as I wasn't going down without an explanation. She was frustrating me to the core. I entered her office without her permission and slammed the door shut behind me, making her turn around causally. It was like she knew I would follow her.

"Why are you being this way?" I asked, throwing my hands up in the air while she just folded her arms in front of her chest and looked at me with her piercing gaze.

"You should leave and go do your work, Mr. Wilson." She replied firmly while I ran my hands through my hair in frustration.

"Are you being fucking serious?" I asked in disbelief while she chewed on her bottom lip, nodding slightly, not meeting my gaze. I went closer towards her and stood in front of her.

"Do you want me to leave?" I asked again and she remained silent.

"Look, if I walk out of this door," I whispered, lifting her chin to make her meet my gaze, "I'm never coming back again and whatever was between us will be over for good." I explained even though I wasn't entirely sure if I meant it.

She licked her lips and held my shirt tightly. It was like she was contemplating whether or not to push me way and all I wanted to do was just hug her.

Why was she hesitating?

"I don't want you to leave but you should probably leave for your own good," she replied softly.

My own good?

No fucking way!

"I don't want to leave either," I whisper and our faces were just inches apart. Our noses were almost touching and I was so close to kissing her. Fuck, she smelled so good that I wanted to bury my face in her luscious hair and smell her more.

Dammit, I was sounding like a creep!

She pulled me closer by my collar, closing the gap between us and brushed her lips against mine softly. I wrapped my arms around her automatically, deepening the kiss and I could feel her melting against my body. I felt her erect nipples, brushing against my shirt, making me horny in an instant. God, I missed this so much. She felt so damn good in my arms and I wouldn't mind just kissing her forever. It was so different from our other kisses. It was gentle and soft and not dirty at all. I could feel her need in that kiss and it was at that moment that I knew I was a goner.

"Wow," I breathed heavily, trying to catch my breath when we pulled back and she smiled, lifting her gaze to mine slowly.

"You are a good kisser," she smirked, playing with the buttons of my shirt.

"And you are the most frustrating and confusing woman I have ever met," I chuckled, pushing her hair away from her face. She pouted slightly and I couldn't help but steal a quick kiss.

"Are you sure you aren't bipolar or something?" I teased, earning a hard punch from her on my arm.

"Shut up." She mumbled, letting out a huge sigh.

"Why did you tell me to mind my own business the other day and tell me to leave just moments ago?" I asked directly instead of beating around the bush, "I mean, if this is about Rebecca, I'm over her. I did love her and to be honest I wasn't looking for anything new but with you, the passion between us is so much stronger than what I felt for her and I want to know—" She placed a finger in my lip, interrupting me.

"Shhh! You talk too much, Mr. Wilson. Save some for our date," she smiled, taking my breath away in an instant.

"But we...wait, what? Oh my god, are you serious?" I asked in shock and excitement.

"Pick me up at 7 tonight," she smirked confidently and pushed me away to walk towards her desk.

God, she was really something else.

"Are you sure about this or will you flip out like crazy again when I pick you up?" I asked just to be sure as I couldn't believe it.

"Get out before I change my mind," she chuckled, shaking her head lightly.

"Damn! Okay, text me your address."

"You really don't remember my house?" she asked, trying to hide her smile and I gave her a sheepish grin.

"Hey, in my defense, I was super drunk that night."

"Yet you say you remembered me." she scoffed, picking her phone from her desk.

"Some things are worth remembering, baby girl." I replied, pulling her closer by her waist and she raised her eyebrows.

"So this is how you flirt?" she asked, handing me her phone. I took it from her hands and typed in my number.

"You haven't seen the best yet," I winked, placing her phone on her desk while she rolled her eyes.

"I've seen enough already." She replied almost immediately, making me smile.

"Man, I love your office. We always end up doing naughty things here. Hope there isn't a camera or anything," I grinned, making her laugh out loud.

"Seriously, get out. I need to work," she pushed me away but I pulled her closer and kissed her deeply once last time, not wanting to let her go.

"Thanks for giving me a chance. I'm sure you won't regret it."

"You better impress the hell out of me, Mr. Wilson." She replied, making me scoff.

"Piece of cake, baby girl." I kissed her cheeks and rushed out of her office, feeling excited after a long time. I honestly couldn't remember the last time I went out on a date and I had no idea what to plan. I was freaking out internally. She wasn't any random girl and I knew how hard it was to please her.

Ryan, my man. Here I come!

"Ryan, I need to talk to you." I spoke immediately after reaching my cubicle. He stopped his work and turned around to look at me.

"What did you screw up now?" he asked, letting out a huge sigh.

"Why do you always assume I screwed up something?" I grumbled, taking a seat next to him.

"Isn't it obvious?" he teased, earning a glare from me and I shook my head.

"Listen, where do you take a girl out for a first date?" I whispered so that no one could hear us.

"Are you going to ask, Amy?" he asked with a frown on his face and I shook my head.

"No, Samantha." I whispered again and he was about to open his mouth to scream but I shut him up with my hand.

"Shut up, asshole." I hissed, removing my hand from his mouth.

"Alright, I'm cool. See, not freaking out at all," he shrugged causally even though I knew he wanted to scream out loud.

"So? What do I do?"

"Just take her out to some nice restaurant then bring her back to your place and you know what to do after that." He wiggled his eyebrows in a suggestive manner, making me grimace.

"That's so fucking boring even for me. You are useless, man." I groaned, covering my face between my hands. I had no idea what she likes or if she was the hearts and flowers type. I was never the romantic type myself. All I knew was that she was into games.

How the fuck do I plan a date with a single piece of information?

I was officially screwed!
