Chapter 91
Ambrosia POV
When Alley told us to go, we ran. I looked over my shoulder to see the warriors, guardians and wolves were fully surrounding the children and I felt more at ease. I knew with the added security no one would be able to get to them. I was running towards the west. I needed to make sure the other three got to the other guardians without any issues. It wasn't very far away but I was running as fast as my legs would take me. I heard a growl and looked back to see that Jackson had shifted so he could keep up a little better. I heard some shouts and when I looked forward I could see that Trevor was carrying Ava in his arms while Starsha was running behind him. Ava looked as if she was unconscious and worry shot through me. "Grab her!" Hotch yelled just as Starsha crossed into our land. Thena caught her before she hit the ground and I stopped as Trevor fell to his knees holding Ava close. "Move." I said, pushing my way through people. "Let me see her." I said, kneeling down. She looked ghostly white but no marks or bruises on her that I could see. "We have to get them to Julie so that she can look them over. Are you okay?" I asked, looking up at Trevor. "I'll be fine, she needs help. They both do. The warning blast took too much from them." Trevor replied. I looked over at Starsha and noticed she was fighting hard just to keep her eyes open. "Hotch, carry her and let's get them to Julie, I need to get back and check on Alley. You will be safe with them." I assured him.
Hotch nodded once before he walked over and picked Starsha up. It was as if her body went completely limp in his arms. "The rest of you go back and make sure everyone gets to where they need to go safely. Leia and the others are securing Tyler and his dad." I added, standing back on my feet. "Thank you queen." Trevor whispered. I smiled, it made me feel a lot better that they were finally here and safe. Now we just needed the two of them to wake up again so we could formally meet. "Ambrosia." I heard my name and turned to see Jackson with a look on his face. "What happened?" I asked. "Haley is dead. We need to get back to Alley now." Jackson whispered and I nodded my head. It wasn't shocking that Haley was killed, but my question is, who killed her. When I looked around as we walked back, everyone seemed rather calm but I knew they were curious as to what else we had to say. Athea didn't even have the chance to speak about anything before we were interrupted. We had made the final plan of catching Tyler instead of killing him on the spot. We needed to see what else Pythias' mother had planned and hopefully get a glimpse of who this kid was. Brandon, of course, didn't like it at first, but he trusted us. Alley and Stephen were walking towards us but stopped when we were face to face. "Pythia killed Haley," Alley said quickly. "That is not surprising. What else happened?" I asked. "Tyler is being aided by my mother," Pythia said, making us all turn towards her.
She was holding a few small bottles filled with liquid in her hand. "What do you mean?" Jackson asked. "I mean, that she infused him with the forbidden magic. His wolf side is pumped full of it, so he is a lot stronger. We used a collar with engravings on them to block his human side from being able to tap in into his, but I need to suppress his wolf side as well." Pythia replied, holding up the little bottles. "Alright, I'm guessing he is down in the cells? Where is Elijah?" Alley asked. "With him in the cells, I will be using this on his father as well. If there is a way for us to pull his wolf from him, then we need to do that. We all know what happens when a mate dies," Pythia replied. Alley nodded her head before looking at me. "The others?" She asked. "Are safe. They are being taken to Julie because Ava and Starsha passed out. They look okay but they used a lot of magic." I replied. "I'll go with you to check on them in a little while, for now we need to get this done." Pythia said, walking past us. None of us said anything, I knew exactly what she was feeling right in this moment. Itching for vengeance and wanting questions to be answered. We didn't want to waste anymore time so we followed Pythia down to the cells so that we could get this over with. Over the years Alley has done a really good job at cleaning it up down here and I have to admit that this was too nice for someone to enjoy but one thing I always admired about Alley was her compassion she still had for people.
The closer we got the more I could hear what sounded like a banshee but when we turned the corner it was nothing more than Elijah curled into a ball on the floor crying. Part of me felt bad for him. It was all of our biggest fear and his just came true. "Yo.. You killed her." Elijah whimpered looking up. "And you will be next." Pythia said with absolutely no emotion in her voice. When she opened the cell door he tucked closer to the wall. "What is that?? What are you doing?!" Elijah shouted. "Just to make your wolf sleep for a little while. We don't need you turning feral now do we." Pythia replied, squatting next to him. I watched her pull out one of the bottles and take the cap off before she pulled out a syringe. She was directly injecting him with it so that it would get into his system faster. When she was done she stood up and turned her back towards him. "Is it painful for him?" I asked. "Unfortunately no, he will sleep for a little while and when he wakes up he will feel human." Pythia replied. We all knew how she liked to make people suffer for things and I knew how much she wanted them to suffer. When we got in front of Tylers cell he was sitting against the wall staring at us. "Well this wasn't something I had been expecting." Tyler grumbled looking up at us and I finally got a good look at him.
