Chapter 1034: He’s Gone Mad, Truly Mad
"What the hell are you doing?"
Timothy snapped at Mary, who looked dazed and confused. He was on the verge of losing it when she turned around and grabbed his arm like she was out of her mind.
"Timothy, you gotta help me! I remembered the license plate! Can you help me find him?"
Seeing Mary so worked up, her eyes red and teary, Timothy's anger turned into a bitter laugh.
"What did you just say?"
Mary didn't catch the anger in Timothy's voice.
"I said, I remembered his license plate! Can you help me find him?"
"You just said you'd help me find him. You know how to do it. You can definitely help me find him!"
She was almost hysterical, shaking Timothy's arm desperately.
Timothy glared at her, his anger boiling inside.
Was she really that obsessed with Charles?
He took a deep breath, trying to calm down, and sneered, "Is he really that amazing, that you've been thinking about him for years, loving him to the core?"
Mary didn't pay attention to his words; she only focused on getting him to help her find Charles.
Not hearing any promise of help, she continued, "Are you gonna help me or not?"
She just wanted to find him. Why wouldn't Timothy help?
Mary suddenly felt very wronged, trapped in her own thoughts.
She wholeheartedly believed that only Timothy could help her find him. If Timothy hadn't helped, it would have been almost impossible.
After all these years, he hadn't come back. If she missed this chance, she might never see him again.
Why wouldn't he help her look for him?
Feeling wronged for a long time, Mary saw Timothy remaining silent, and her emotions became even more intense.
"Say something! Why aren't you talking?"
She stood up, crazily grabbing Timothy's arm and shaking it.
Tears fell like broken beads, continuously streaming down.
"Why won't you help me? Why? If you don't help me, I'll go find him myself!"
Mary's emotions grew more and more intense.
Just as she was about to shake off Timothy's arm and rush out the door, Timothy couldn't control himself anymore. He stepped forward, directly picked Mary up, pressed her onto the couch, and kissed her.
He was crazy, truly crazy.
Ever since he saw Mary chasing after Charles.
Ever since he figured out who she was looking for.
Timothy felt like his blood was boiling.
At this moment, he couldn't hold back anymore, not for a second.
He couldn't control himself, wanting to devour Mary whole.
"Let go of me! Let go!"
Mary desperately hit him, but it was useless. Finally, unable to break free, she bit Timothy's shoulder hard.
Timothy felt the pain and loosened his grip a bit.
Mary quickly escaped from his arms, ran to the other side of the couch, and glared at him angrily, "What the hell are you doing? We're talking about serious stuff, and you pull this?"
She had never thought someone could be so mentally unstable.
It was utterly absurd.
"Crazy?"
Timothy touched his shoulder and sneered.
"We're still married, you know. Did you forget you're my wife?"
Mary stared at him, confused by his words.
She just wanted to find her long-lost relative. Why was Timothy acting like someone had stepped on his tail?
If someone's relative went missing or was kidnapped, wouldn't they be anxious?
At this critical moment, this guy was saying irrelevant nonsense.
Clearly, she wasn't the one he loved. He didn't care about such a big issue.
"Crazy."
Mary coldly spat out the word and walked out without looking back.
She couldn't communicate with Timothy now. Talking to him was a waste of time.
Timothy quickly grabbed her from behind, "Where are you going?"
"Where I go is none of your business!"
Mary shouted, grabbing her bag, "Get out of my way, don't be a nuisance!"
"Do you have to find him? Is he that important?"
Timothy's face was ashen, and he tightened his grip on Mary's hand.
"Yes, he's very important!"
Mary was furious, "I have to find him! This lifetime, I must find him!"
After saying that, Mary looked at Timothy and couldn't help but sneer, "If you won't help me, then stop wasting your breath! And don't take Catherine to my father's memorial without my permission. My father doesn't care, and neither do I! What I do is none of your business!"
Mary had never been so hysterical, even when she was angry with Timothy before.
After this intense argument, Timothy was a bit stunned and involuntarily loosened his grip.
Mary rushed out the door, but she didn't immediately go looking for Charles.
She was too angry to think straight.
Where could she go? Reporting a license plate to the police was impossible, and wandering the streets was pointless.
After sitting on the street for half a day, Mary eventually returned home.
She was too exhausted and fell asleep immediately.
However, her dreams were filled with past memories, one after another.
This left her feeling just as tired when she woke up the next day, as if she hadn't slept at all.
Timothy had returned to the hospital after she left, performed surgery overnight, and slept until 2 PM.
He opened his office door and stepped out, just as a colleague passed by.
"You must be exhausted from yesterday. Want to grab a bite? I just finished up, too."
Timothy shook his head, "No, I have plans tonight. Can you keep an eye on the patient in room 302 for me? I'll treat you to dinner later."
The colleague was surprised, "You're a workaholic. Skipping work? What are you up to?"
Timothy shook his head, "Family matters."
The colleague didn't press further, "Alright, I know you wouldn't skip work unless it's important. Go ahead, I'll cover for you tonight."
"Thanks."
Timothy drove away from the hospital.
Shortly after he left, Catherine arrived at his office, but found it locked.
A passing nurse saw her and asked, "Dr. Levin, are you looking for Dr. Reed?"
Catherine nodded quickly.
"Dr. Reed just left. Seems like he clocked out."
Clocked out?
It was only 2 PM. Why would he clock out?
