Chapter 11: Chapter Eleven

As I made my way out, I had to walk past the patient chairs which where the boy named, Callum was now sitting. I shot him a polite smile. He flashed me a grin and pressed the frozen bags of pees firmly against the side of the head. I was going to walk on but turned back towards him. "Err, I think Miss is talking about you in there."

He raised an eyebrow and carefully lowered the bag of frozen lees away from the head. "What makes you say that?"

I shrugged, "She was having a secret conversation on the phone. It sounded like it had something to do with you."

"Um, ok cheers." He smiled nervously and pressed the bag of pees back against e side of his hand. His eyes briefly closed in those few seconds. I smiled and walked off.

Just as I passed the corner, I came into view with Mr Dubens who stood leaning against the wall. He glanced up and our eyes met. He flashed me a sexy grin and leant away from the wall, turning towards the exit doors as I began to follow.

"So, are you going to explain?" I prompted and he chuckled lightly as he pushed the exit doors open. "Care to explain first? As you’re the dealer out of the two of us." He whispered into my ear as I stepped through the doors before him. "I'll have you know the boy in the tracky was the dealer, not me." I scoffed.

"Same thing, Miss Copper. Now explain."

Great...

"I call him when I feel like I need it." I murmured as we walked towards his car. Mr Dubens seems rather taken back by my words. He seemed between the lines of confusion and anger. A mix of emotions was fixed in his expression and I was unsure of what reaction to expect from him.

"How long have you been on drugs?" He asked me as he pulled out his car keys.

"About two years. I tried it when I was about fourteen."

Mr Dubens looked at me with wide eyes as he opened his car door. "Why on earth would you want to get yourself into such an addiction?"

"It takes the pain away. To be honest, I'd be lost without it." I smiled and jumped in the passenger seat as he slipped into the driver's side.

Nothing else was said. Mr Dubens sighed, deep in thought as he turned the keys in the car engine. The car roared to life and he swiftly pulled out of the school car park.

"So, what makes you want to take it?" He asked casually as he began to drive down the road.

"Um, when I'm angry, stressed out with life. When I can't take anymore." I pursed my lips and turned to gaze out the window down, watching the houses disappear into the distance.

"Do you think you might suffer with depression?"

I turned to face him; his eyes were glued to the road. For a second I considered his innocent question, but I didn't want to start diagnosing myself. "I... I wouldn't know."

"Do you feel down most of the time? Is that why you behave the way you do?" He pushed and I could feel the pressure upon me then.

"How I behave as a person has nothing to do with anyone else. It's the way I am. Deal with it." I muttered. Mr Dubens sighed I'm defeat, "Yes, your right...but you can't back out of our deal if that's what you’re trying to do." He warned in a light notice.

"Oh, don't worry Mr Dubens. I won't."

He flashed me a sexy and mischievous grin, his eyes briefly meeting mine. We turned a corner and that's when he said, "You can call me by my first name if you'd like." He politely offered. Oh, God. I wonder what his first name was. I was actually pretty curious to what it might have been. I thought for a moment and then nodded, "Yes. I'd like that."

"It's Ian. Ian Dubens."

I bit my lip lightly. Woah, 'Ian' that suited him. It sounded really sexy. So, him and so natural. Ian Dubens....I liked that. A lot.

"Well...Ian. That's a smooth name." I commented softly. He glanced over to me and his eyebrows creased, "Smooth? What's that supposed to mean?" He grinned in curiosity. I giggled and shook my head, "Oh. I don't think I should answer that."

"And why's that, Miss Copper?"

"Because it's not appropriate, Sir. Remember, I'm trying to be a good girl." I teased as I crossed my legs, letting them purposefully brush against his thighs on the way.

His breath hitched and his jaw became tense. "You're not doing a very good job of it, Alice. Why don't you tell me what you meant?"

"Oh no, Sir. I couldn't."

"Go on. Tell me." He encouraged and I bit down harder on my lip. "No." I teased further and he turned another corner, steering the steering wheel quickly. I jumped a little at his quickness in his driving. "Say it, Alice. Or I'll force it out of you, and me can assure you, Miss Copper. You won't want that."

"Ok, well..." I began. If he was going to use sexual interrogation towards me then I was obviously going to lose. "Basically, it's sexy and it suits you." I licked my lip. When I glanced over to check his reaction he was staring at my lips. Oh god. "Well, Miss Copper. I'm flattered." I blush as he looks over to me. I guess I was too honest. Maybe he thought I was a right fruit cake.

We sat in silence for the rest of the way. Once he drove down the road I live on, he then spoke up. "You were great in class today. You just need to stop reacting to those horrible girls." I knew what he meant by 'horrible girls' Olivia and her group. Her pathetic little group. The other girls who giggle along with her whenever a word leaves her mouth.

"How else do you expect me to react? She called me a slut! Of cause I'm going to react the way I did!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide in surprise.

Ian huffed and turned the steering wheel. I then noticed we were pulling near the curb. "I understand that. You just have to try and control yourself."

I sighed and tapped against the window. "This house, here." I pointed. Straight away he pulled into the driveway and stopped the car. I undone my seatbelt and reached out to open the passenger door but before I opened it, I noticed Ian's eyes were darting at all the house windows. "Why aren't any lights on?" He asked innocently.

"What?" I questioned as I tried to act dumb. I knew exactly what he meant, and I had completely forgot! I hadn't mentioned the part about how I live on my own. He doesn't know.

"Aren't your parents in?" He dragged his eyes away from the house and they slowly landed on me. I felt my palms twitch. I would tell him but how can I trust him? He's a fucking teacher for crying out loud! You can't trust any teacher! I swallow nervously and push the passenger door widely open, "They're out tonight. I've got the house to myself." Lie.

Ian looked at me curiously, questions dancing wildly in his eyes. He didn't question me further and I swallowed in relief as I turned to climb out of the car. "Lucky you." He commented and I was thankful he obviously didn't overthink it. I laughed, "Aren't I just."

"I'll see you tomorrow, at school." He flashed me his usual sexy grin. "Sure." I smiled before shutting the car door.

As I turned towards my house, I could hear the engine of his car roar to life as he pulled out of the driveway. I turned round and waved him off as he reversed onto the road. He peered out the window, our eyes meeting in that second. My breath hitched and he winked at me, a grin spreading across his face. Before I knew it, all too soon...he was gone. The car drove down the road and disappeared in the distance until all I could see was a dot on wheels.

I sigh and walk slowly towards my front door. I wish I didn't have to lie to him, I wanted to be honest but that would be too risky. My stomach gave a rumble and I suddenly realised how hungry I was. I never ate at school, their food in the canteen was just cheap shit. My stomach disagreed with it. Good thing Ms. Harrison always cooked for me, because I had no idea how to use the kitchen.

Once I was in, I slammed the door shut and ran straight upstairs to my room. At times it did feel lonely living on my own which was why I occasionally invited friends’ round, but I couldn't invite them round too often because I always had to use 'my parents are out for the day' excuse.

I collapsed backwards onto my bed, kicking my shoes off and turning to grab the TV remote. The TV buzzed to life and it was turned onto channel five. Some boring film was on and straight away I turned it into DVD. I huffed and grabbed a DVD from under my bed that had been lying around. It was so boring being on my own sometimes, so I had a lot of DVD's to occupy myself with. Almost all of them I had watch one million times, over and over and over again!

However, this particular one I had grabbed out from under my bed was one I had not watched. I pulled it out and looked closely at it. I suddenly remembered, it was one Ms. Harrison and bought for me a year ago but I never got round to watching it. Well, I couldn't be bothered because it looked really boring and old. Since I had watched all the others so many times I decided to watch the one Ms. Harrison bought me.

I stared down at the front cover, taking the title in which was written in huge bold letters with a couple wrapped in each other's arms, looking into one another's eyes. 'Romeo & Juliet'

My eyebrows pressed together in confusion. How can this be? I glanced down at the bottom where it had displayed the names of the two main actors, who obviously played Romeo and Juliet. Leonardo DiCaprio played Romeo. Holy shit! I had a massive crush on Leo. Ms. Harrison obviously didn't know, and she didn't mention that part when she handed it to me.

In hurry I slotted into the side of my telly and the movie began.
