Chapter 8: Accepted

Nathan POV

I was so excited that Emma finally accepted me; my joy knew no boundaries as my wolf danced happily inside of me. Then my heart started racing as the thought of Mia popped up.

"How am I going to face her? How's she going to react to this?" Different thoughts keep running through my head.

"You don't have to worry; let's celebrate this first, and later we can talk about this." My wolf said it inwardly, and I nodded to the idea. I think Mia would understand because this wasn't my fault. I didn't write my fate, and moreover, if I were given a chance, maybe I would also have included both of them, because I look weak without the two of them. They both complete me, and they are both very important in my life, just that I didn't realize this fast. I tried to get myself to work, and a Mia call pops up on my phone. My heart skips a bit as I stare at the phone, and I summon courage and click OK on the answer button

"Are you busy, or why does it take you time to pick up?" Her question made my heart race fast. I can't even tell her I am doing this because I have a guilty heart. I chuckled softly, trying to gather something.

"Yes, I wasn't too busy. I am just saying, "I tried to lie, but my voice denied me of that, as I was stuttering, battling with words.

"What happened? Are you okay?" She asked with concerns in her voice, and I didn't realize I was nodding negatively like she could see me.

"It seems you can't talk; why don't we talk after work? What do you think? Or are you going to be busy?" She asked her voice low; I knew she was about to feel disappointed because I have been too busy for her.

"I won't be busy; I think we really need to talk about us seriously." I let out a breath.

"I am happy to hear you say that. What will you like to eat tonight? I am going to prepare anything you need immediately I get to the palace," she said with some excitement building in her voice. I let out a smile hearing that. To be sincere, Mia isn't just a beautiful lady, but also a good chef who can win any guy's heart with her delicious meal.

"My favorite food will do with plenty of meat; I hope you get that," I said, smiling.

"I get you, okay. I will go now, bye-bye. Don't work out yourself," she said, and I could imagine the smile on her face.

"And you know, I sure got you in everything. Don't forget how you served me the meal with that seductive look," I said, and I got to imagine her face reddening with blush.

"I love you," she said.

"I love you too," I replied as the call ended. I dropped my phone and gulped down nothing. I was so relieved after speaking with her; only her voice eased my pain. I think I am her peace now. And I felt it wasn't going to be difficult explaining this to her. I was still lost in my thoughts when my Emma walked into my office looking more beautiful. She smiled at me immediately when I looked up at her, and that swept my worries away. I stood up and slowly walked towards her. She moved closer to me in a seductive manner. I gave her a seductive look, and she didn't resist as I dragged her closer and our lips slammed. And I took my time to work on them. I smirked after the kiss.

"I am here to inform you about the meeting you have in 30 minutes. But I guess I am a distraction, so I think I should excuse you, sir." She spoke with a meek voice, but she was seductive.

"But you keep tempting me with that look." Then the meeting she just mentioned stuck in my head.

"Meeting, how is it possible? I thought I cleared my schedule today," I asked.

"It's unexpected, sir; the shareholders called this because of some issue arising in the industry," she said, and I gulped down nothing.

"It was really urgent; please tell me more about it," I said, and went to sit on my chair. She also sat facing me and explained everything from A-Z, and I was so confused.

"This is a huge problem; how can we solve this in just one meeting, and it was really urgent?" I lamented worriedly. The problem was one I didn't even know how to solve.

"Sir, I think I have an idea with the time I have spent being your secretary," she said, and that sounds like a relief.

"Okay, let me hear it," I said, and she explained. I must say her idea was a good one. I couldn't stop staring at her lustfully with her beautiful lips as she explained. What can I do without her in this company? She's always put in her best. And the moon goddess saw this and didn't make a mistake by mating me with her. I didn't know when I started clapping my hands after she finished explaining her idea.

"Does it sound cool, sir? Or you are praising me so that I won't feel bad?" she asked with her head down.

"It's really awesome; I am really happy seeing how you were able to solve this problem with the small brain of yours," I said teasily, and she stood up from her seat and came to mine.

"It's occurred to me that you can't resist me because I am too handsome for that right; that's why you love getting closer to me every time." she blushed, throwing her hand in the air.

"Common, don't pretend like you don't know I am a beautiful lady and that you couldn't even keep your eyes off me for a single second. What exactly do you want that's making you stare at me like that, sir?" She whispered seductively and brought her face closer to mine.

"Are you ready for it? Don't you think this is too early?" I asked, taking my lips closer. She stopped him by placing her finger on my lips

"It's time to go to the meeting, sir." She said it seductively and slammed her lips on mine before rolling out of my office.

"Are you going crazy already? Wait for it, man, because this is just the beginning. Consider yourself lucky." My wolf said inwardly, and I burst into laughter.
