Chapter 7: Wolves are harmless
Nathan POV
She passed out immediately I told her about my real identity; I never knew she was going to collapse. I rushed her to the company clinic, where she was being hospitalized. I couldn't settle down and was pacing back and forth outside the clinic, waiting for the doctor to ask me in. Did I look scared when I was telling her, or what's her reason for passing out like that? I keep pondering over it, but I don't get an answer.
"Do you feel wistful telling her this?" my wolf asked.
"Shouldn't we? If I had known she would pass out like that, would I not have planned a better way to tell her this?" He growled for shouting at him, but I am not going to stop.
"I would have let her know that wolves are harmless to humans if they didn't tend to hurt us. You should have known better, but instead you keep pushing me; see where you got us." I blamed my wolf for not being competent.
"Sir, you can go inside; she's awake now." The doctor said, and I took a deep breath before rushing inside.
"Emma, how are you feeling?" I asked immediately I get inside. I guess I was so impatient and have been striving to see her. I was expecting her to be scared and start shivering now that she found out that I am a wolf, but she wasn't; instead, she looks really strong. I need to be a man and calm my nerves to explain this to her. I pouted my lips, took a deep breath, and sat beside her.
"Emma, I am sorry for scaring you. I never met you to tell you in that way. I am sorry," I exhale deeply, with a hint of regret in my tone.
"You don't have to be sorry, sir, I am just surprised. I never knew this happened in the real world; I only read stories about it."She gulps down nothing, looking into my eyes, then shoved her head to the ground.
" I never imagined my future husband would be a woman." She shutters with sincerity in her tone.
"Since you read stories about us so much, you must have known what I meant the very first time." I found myself asking, but I really thought that wasn't important. She nodded negatively.
"Sir, what about your girlfriend, Mia? Wasn't she supposed to be your mate? I guess she's a wolf too, or maybe it's my imagination; maybe I am being delusional after everything." She chuckled softly.
"Yes, both of you are mates, I don't know why, but this is my fate; I don't even know how to deal with being the alpha of this pack. Many Alphas have rules, and they only live their lives with just one mate, but mine is different," I explained, and she sniffled, looking into my eyes. She shakily held my hand and rubbed hers on it.
"I am sorry, if you can't live with two wives, I can go far away. I am sure Mia wouldn't want to share you with any other person; it is obvious you both have an unending love for each other. I am just a tint In your love life, maybe you should just consider it a rejection since you never planned your life like this. I can kill the feeling I have for you, trust me. But that doesn't mean that I hate you; I just want to ensure you are living a normal life." She said with so much hurt and concern in her voice. I see real love in her, just like I have always seen it in Mia. These two women are my strength, and I feel helpless without them. I felt so disturbed whenever I didn't get to see them in a day, so how can I let her leave so easily? It wasn't anyone's fault the moon goddess chose this fate for me; I just have to accept it and deal with it by showing love and concern for them as well as taking care of my pack and my businesses. I don't think I can cope if I lose any of them.
"No, you aren't a problem in my life. I love you as much as I love Mia. You don't have to worry about this; she's my childhood love aside from being my mate, and she will definitely understand my flight. All I need from you is a yes, and I promise to stand by your side," I asked, holding her hand tightly. Our gazes meet, and we lock eyes for some moment, with our emotions gripping us. She has teary eyes, and she slowly and steadily nods her head in agreement.
"Awww!" My wolf shouted happily, and I felt like he wanted to free himself and turn into our wolf to rejoice.
"Do you want to scare her away?" I shouted, and she wondered who I was talking to. Then she smiled.
"Our wolf is really excited and wants to shift." She smiles hearing this.
"Then let him, I am not scared of you or the entire wolf in this world." She said this and winked at me. I found myself blushing and freeing him to do whatever he wanted. He whines, and my body starts to grow bigger, and fur appears in my body. She touched my body, rubbing her hand, and me and my wolf were so excited. She's so strong and fierce, but her soft and warm emotions never make this obvious. My fangs appear, followed by the claws, making me go into full transformation. A broad smile played on her lips, and I felt the urge to hold her closer. I came closer to her, and she was rubbing my fur and smiling. I wanted more of her, and I couldn't keep up with my wolf self, so I transformed back into my human form.
"What! I was enjoying that. I wanted to play with you fang and cuddle with you in that form," she said shyly.
"Then what? Why don't you do it now?" Kiss me; I want a real kiss, not the one we had when we were still holding our emotions. I can't hold myself, I want to have more of you," I said, and her subdued lips slammed on mine. I didn't wait a minute before grabbing her closer and biting her lips desperately and lovingly. We continued kissing for a long time before she broke off the kiss.
"Geez!" I cussed, and she gave me a weird attitude, but it was funny.
"We should get back to work, we will do this later," she said, arranging her hair.
"I own the company; I can do anything I want at my convenience," I lamented.
"Nobody is stopping you, boss, but my work is also at risk here, and again, I don't want gossip. You haven't told Mia about us, she will be heartbroken If she finds out without you telling her first, I don't want to break the relationship you guys built years ago." I nodded in agreement, seeing the genuineness in her voice. The moon goddess did a great job mating me with her. I am blessed that I was given the opportunity to have someone with a heart of gold who cares about others instead of taking herself first.
"She will make a great Luna," my wolf said, and I whimped.
"Shut up; time will tell who the Luna will be." I shut him up, inwardly.
