Chapter 92
No matter where, once she stood firm, she would bring Grandma to her side.
Grandma smiled, touched her hair.
When she was young, Lucille wasn’t in good health, and as a girl, she didn’t get much attention from her parents, who favored the little son more.
So when she fell ill, it was always Grandma caring for her, truly, Lucille was raised in Grandma’s palm.
But she knew Grandma’s marriage wasn’t happy either, Grandpa wasn’t kind to Grandma, Grandpa also favored the son, Lucille’s father, Lucille had an aunt, the father’s sister, if not for Grandma fighting to support the aunt’s education and helping her leave, the aunt would have become the family’s blood bag.
She didn’t know how the aunt was doing outside, but she knew the aunt always sent money back, and when the aunt called, she always said she wanted to bring Grandma out, but Grandma never wanted to, not because of Grandpa, later Grandpa passed away, Grandma didn’t say
she wanted to go to the aunt’s place, Lucille knew it was because of her.
Grandma couldn’t bear to part with her Lucille, afraid Lucille might suffer, afraid Lucille might not be happy, no matter what, she stayed here, to give her Lucille a home, a place to turn around.
It was so rare to have such peaceful time with Grandma, after Lucille and Grandma finished watering the flowers, they still brewed hypocrisy in the shade, chatting while drinking it.
At this moment, Lucille received a message from Mary Quill.
Mary said her house call plan changed today, she couldn’t come to the house in the afternoon for her Acupuncture Therapy, but she was seeing patients at the holistic health clinic in the morning, if Lucille had time, she could go in the morning for the needles.
Lucille had to immediately pack up and go to the holistic health clinic.
Grandma wanted to accompany her, but she didn’t let her, the ride took a long time, and there was queuing at the place, it was too hard on Grandma, better to let Grandma rest at home.

Although in the suburbs, taking a taxi was still convenient, Grandma saw her off in the car, confirmed her destination was directly to the holistic health clinic entrance, and then felt relieved.
After Lucille entered the holistic health clinic, she queued according to the nurse’s
arrangement.
This holistic health clinic hadn’t been open long. If not for the recommendation from that renowned doctor in Capital City, Lucille wouldn’t have known this place existed despite being Seaston born and raised.
Yet in just a short time, the clinic had gained local renown. Each day brought a steady stream of patients–like now, with the waiting area completely full. Notably, the clinic seemed to treat all patients equally, regardless of wealth. Everyone waited together right in the main reception area.
“Please wait here. Dr. Mary Quill’s office is over there. Someone will call you shortly.”
The nurse guided her to a seat.
“Alright, thank you.”
This wasn’t Lucille’s first visit; she knew the routine.
The clinic employed multiple doctors–seven or eight, according to the introductions in the lobby, each specializing in different fields.
Lucille had been reading on her phone when a familiar voice cut through the murmur.
Peering through gaps in the rows of people ahead, she spotted Cedrick.
Cedrick walked alongside Maricela, emerging from the consultation room opposite–the one specializing in gynecology and obstetrics.
So he really brought Maricela to see the doctor. Maybe he’ll stop pressuring me about having children now?
A nurse led them to collect medicine. Since it was herbal remedy, she asked whether they preferred the herbal preparation service or preparing it at home.
