Chapter 91
“Maricela, I’ll come pick you up later. Don’t be stubborn, okay?”
Lucille leaned against the door, her heart icy cold.
No wonder, no wonder he suddenly wanted to have a child with her…
So it’s because Maricela can’t have children? He wants to have one with her and then give it to Maricela?
Indeed, it was right not to listen to anything he says. He only speaks nonsense.
She quietly closed the door and stopped listening.
When he came in from outside, she was already eating noodles, slowly, pretending nothing had happened.
He walked up to her, looked at her plain noodles, and asked, “Want an egg?”
“Should I fry one for you?”
“What about milk?”
She stopped, “Cedrick, you might not have noticed, I never drink milk. And grandma made me a poached egg. Thank you.”
He choked up, a bit awkward, “Well…”
“Enough with the this and that. Let me eat breakfast in peace.”
Her voice was soft, not wanting grandma to hear, but her tone was firm and cold.
This situation is really a role reversal from before…
She used to revolve around him like this.
“Cedrick, do you want an extra egg?”
“Cedrick, should I warm up some milk for you?”

“Cedrick, do you want shrimp? I’ve peeled it for you.”
“Cedrick, want some soup?”
“I’ll serve you a bowl.”
He would also not look up, or frown, “I’m thinking about work. Can you let me eat in peace?”
Hah…
So they say, a person without desires is strong.
When she had desires of love for him, from the start, she stood in an unequal position, looking up to him, holding him up, shorter than him.
Once free from having desires, a person naturally stands tall.
Now, it’s him who has desires, so he comes to her with sweet words?
Sorry, what you desire, I really hate it.
Cedrick, I won’t do as you wish.
He lowered his gaze, seemed to be thinking, after a while, he said, “Lucille, is Dr. Mary still coming to the house today for your Acupuncture Therapy?”
“Probably.”
“Then I’ll head out first. Got company business today.”
“Company business?”
“Isn’t it to go pick up Maricela?”
But she didn’t expose it, gave no attitude, just nodded calmly, “Alright, go ahead.‘

She didn’t care anymore.
Whether he’s really going to the company or to find Maricela, she didn’t care anymore.
He looked at her, wanted to say something but didn’t, then finally got up, said goodbye to grandma, and drove away.
Not long after he left, Lucille’s phone vibrated, text messages and emails arrived almost simultaneously–it was flight information, Meredith’s dance troupe tour tickets were already

booked.
She looked at the date on the ticket, feeling the air much fresher.
14 days to go.
In 14 days, she would fly to the Magraica continent.
While the sun wasn’t too hot yet, Grandma wanted to water the flowers, Lucille accompanied her, and suddenly thought, “Grandma, I’ll install an automatic watering system here for you, it can be timed, so when we move to the villa, you won’t worry about the flowers at home, it waters itself.”
“Is there such an advanced thing?”
Grandma was amazed.
“Yes, I know it exists, but I haven’t tried it, I’ll buy a set and we can test it.”
She said enthusiastically, “And in the future, I’ll take you traveling, we can play as long as we want, no need to fret about the flowers getting thirsty or bother the neighbors.”
“But…” Grandma hesitated, “Aren’t you leaving? The villa…”
Lucille smiled, “Grandma, anyway, no matter what, Grandma will be with me in the future.”
