You Really Disgust Me (Part 2)
Alison slept soundly until dawn.
When she woke up, her breasts felt extremely full.
She hurriedly pumped some milk, then ran downstairs to Skyla's room.
The two little ones were sleeping soundly.
"Ma'am, did you sleep well last night?" Skyla had no idea what had happened between Jack and Alison the night before.
She assumed that Jack had left the children in her care so that he could spend time with Alison.
Looking up, she noticed the faint red marks at Alison's neckline.
Skyla covered her mouth and chuckled.
Alison suddenly realized that something was off.
Her face flushed instantly.
She handed the bottle filled with breast milk to Skyla. "Here, I just pumped this. If they get hungry, give it to them."
She turned and ran off.
Alison rushed back to her room and stood in front of the bathroom mirror.
When she saw the red spots on her bare neck, she felt dizzy.
She splashed water on her face, changed into a high-necked shirt, and then went downstairs.
Audrey had already dropped Sophia and Ethan off at preschool.
With Skyla watching the two little ones, Alison suddenly found herself with nothing to do.
She wanted to work, but Jack wouldn't agree.
She knew that even if she went looking for a job, no company would hire her.
After all, she was Jack's wife, a real estate tycoon.
Unless she got a divorce, her identity would always be overshadowed by his.
Aidan was the only person in T City who would dare to hire her.
If he agreed, she'd be willing to work at YD even without a salary; she just wanted to take her mind off things.
Alison drove to YD, where she'd worked for so long.
It was rush hour, and the roads were jam-packed with traffic.
It took Alison over an hour to reach YD.
As the car pulled into the underground parking garage, the familiar scene stirred a wave of emotion within her.
After circling the parking garage several times, she finally found a spot.
After parking, she walked toward the elevator, feeling excited.
Everything here was so familiar.
Suddenly, Alison's footsteps stopped.
She came to a halt in front of a royal blue Lamborghini.
It was Jack's car.
What was he doing at YD?
Alison stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor.
As soon as the elevator reached the first floor, someone stepped inside.
"Madam, is it really you?" The person was clearly surprised to see Alison.
Alison smiled faintly. "It's been a while since I've been here. I was just passing by and thought I'd stop in for a bit."
"Ma'am, where are your kids? Don't you have to take care of them?"
"Oh, I left them with the nanny," Alison replied.
"That's for the best. Why don't you come back and work at YD? Our business manager in the German section of the International Trade Department is expecting a baby. You could help her out for a few months, and then leave once she's given birth. That way, our manager won't have to worry about not finding a top-notch business professional who speaks German." The other person suggested enthusiastically.
Alison smiled and whispered, "If the CEO agrees, I have no objections. It would be nice to come back and help out."
"That's great! I'll have the manager bring it up with the CEO right away. He'll definitely agree," the other person replied excitedly.
The number of people in the elevator gradually dwindled as people got off on each floor until she was the only one left.
The elevator reached the top floor.
Alison stepped out and headed toward the CEO's office.
She walked into the open secretarial office.
Aidan's new secretary recognized her and was about to greet her when Alison made a shushing gesture.
The secretary immediately understood and fell silent.
Alison walked up to the familiar wooden door.
It was tightly shut, and she couldn't hear the conversation inside.
When she gently pushed the door, to her surprise, it opened a small crack.
A deep, icy male voice came from inside. "Aidan, you'd better explain this to me clearly. What exactly did you say to Alison last night?"
A brief silence hung in the air.
Alison stood frozen outside the door, longing to hear the conversation between the two brothers.
"Aidan, I don't care what you're thinking about Alison. I just want to know what you said to her last night." Jack felt anxious whenever he thought about Alison's cold attitude toward him the night before.
Aidan raised his head slightly.
Sitting at his desk, Aidan looked somewhat haggard.
With a hint of guilt, he said, "Jack, I drank too much last night. I really don't remember a thing."
"Did you tell her about Gwendolyn?" Jack closed his eyes, remembering the tone of Alison's voice last night.
Aidan shook his head. "I really don't remember."
"Aidan, you promised me you wouldn't mention what happened that night to her. I know the whole Lucia situation started because of me, and I'm sorry. But it's also because Alison has always been in your heart. If that weren't the case, you wouldn't have hit me, and Lucia wouldn't have..." Jack paused for a moment before continuing. "Alison is innocent. I don't want her dragged into this or hurt. Since you promised me you wouldn't say anything, why did you still..."
