Chapter 79 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 79 Untitled Chapter
My legs gave way, and I fell on my knees. Matilda can not die, not when I was going to take her back to the Lunskye pack to live a free life.

“Matilda!” I broke down in tears, holding my head. “Who killed you? I told you to be safe and protect yourself!”

Dang it! I should have forced her to register as part of the girls to be taken to Casper’s house; that way, I would have protected her.

“But I am safe!”

Everything stopped moving, my heart stopped beating, and my breath ceased. That was Matilda’s voice; it was her.

With a racing heart, I spun around, and there she was, standing by the door. My heart leapt, excitement gushing over me.

I got up, ran towards her, and pulled her into a tight hug. Thank goodness she didn't die. What a relief.

“You scared me to death, Matilda. Do not do that again,” she chuckled gently, wrapping her arms around me. “I'm so sorry, Alpha Amelia. And congratulations, you successfully wiped out the Dark Shadows sect.”

“Thank you, Matilda. And now,” I held her shoulders, looking at her as there were a lot of questions swirling inside my mind.

“Where did you go? And who is that lady floating on the water?”

Her eyes darted to the bathtub, and she scoffed. She looked at me with a smile and sighed.

“After you left yesterday, Mr. Wood returned.” She lowered her head, playing with her fingers.

What could have brought him back? I was already gone, and it was I whom he wanted.

“He said he knew what your little games were. He said he knew that you would never give yourself to him even if you came back because you are an egotistic bitch. Sorry for that.”

Ahh! I would have killed Mr. Wood if he were still alive. How dare he call me those stupid names? Also, yes, he was absolutely correct when he said I would never submit to him. Why would I succumb to a stinky, stupid, devil idiot like him?

“It’s fine, Matilda. Since you are only telling me what that idiot said, no offense taken. So who is that lady floating in the bathtub? You haven't answered my question.”

“I am getting to that, Alpha Amlia, calm down. I just want to finish the story first.”

Well, we can finish the story on our way out of this town because the stench is killing me. Matilda got what she would take from the shop, and we left.

“Mr. Wood wanted to take advantage of me yesterday, but I threatened to report him to the secretary, who was his girlfriend, as he is so scared of her.”

That petite lady? Whoa!

“So today, he returned with that lady, his girlfriend. And ty both tried to forcefully rape me, and I…” She lowered her head sadly. “And you killed the lady.”

“Yes, I killed her, and I am scared. I have never killed anyone before.”

Funny. Then she must get ready to kill a lot of evildoers as my Beta.

When we were out of the town and arrived at the forest that would lead us to the Harmony Pack, I paused, tied my hair in a bun, and sighed.

“Amy, enjoy yourself, girl.”

She leapt to her feet, howling joyfully. “Finally!” she laughed and jumped forward, landing on her paws.

“Wow!” Matilda exclaimed, jaw dropping. “You are so huge and pretty. Can I touch you?” She didn't wait for a go-ahead before flinging her fingers inside the furs, giggling.

“They are so soft, scented, and neat,”

“Enough talk, get your wolf out!” I commanded, stepping away from her.

When Matilda let out her wolf, it was a pretty white wolf that had a line running down its puffy tail. She is so beautiful, too, but not as big as Amy.

Well, she cannot be big like Amy since she isn't from an Alpha bloodline.

We jumped through the woods, howling, laughing, and enjoying the moment like pups. I know that was the only chance I've got to let out my little self because as soon as I return to the pack, none of this will ever happen.

After galloping for hours, we were finally at the mountain, which stood tall, shooting into the clouds. The memory of me climbing and going up the mountain a few days ago flashed into my mind, giving me goosebumps. I shuddered, shutting my eyes. That thing traumatized me, and I will never do that ever in my life.

“Are we going to climb this? Because I cannot see anywhere we can cross to the other part.”

“Hell no, Matilda, we aren't crossing it. Just close your eyes and hold my hand.”

Nothing will stop me from crossing with my power now, nothing!

Matilda closed her eyes, held my hand like I said, and I snapped my fingers.

The next second, we were on the other side of the mountain.

“Are you…” Matilda gasped, covering her mouth in amazement. “Keep it for later, Matilda dear; you haven't seen anything yet.”

I chuckled and walked past her, and she hurried after me.

A few minutes later, we were at the amusement park, the creepy place that nearly gave me a heart attack a few days ago. But now, I wasn't scared anymore; I had seen worse than this eerie place. And Matilda, she held my hand, whimpering in fear.

“Do you want to try out the demon-controlling power you’ve gotten?” Amy chuckled, her face glinting with mischief. And yes, that is going to be fun.

“Want to see something fun, Matilda?”

“Anything to make me stop hearing these voices in my head, please?” She pleaded, eyes still closed, and hands gripping mine. Matilda was quivering in fear, and that definitely wanted to make me laugh. "You've got to be brave, Matild. I don't expect my Beta to be this scared. Do not be a coward, or else you will be laughed at by the pack.”

I paused, shut my eyes, and summoned the new power. The moment I felt it gushing over me, I snapped my eyes open, waved my hand, and ghosts started appearing one after the other, heading towards us.
