Chapter 49 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 49 Untitled Chapter
Suddenly, a thunderclap echoed from a distance, followed by the whooshing of wind. The entire pack was filled with the anxious howling of wolves in a second.

Tension crept into my heart, and my heartbeat rose. Like a flash of lightning, Hans, standing beside me, grabbed my hand and shoved me aside.

As soon as he did that, a black mist flew over my shoulder, and a sudden crash pierced the wall.

Hams was laughing so loud, and now, he was floating inside a black wind, the kind I have always seen in my dreams.

My eyes snapped wide, and so did Hans’s. We've only gone to the Pack to have a word with him, not engage in a fight.

“I will shift!” Amy snarled between clenched teeth, her eyes glistering in danger. “No. Focus. Amy. Focus. You cannot shift.”

“You've brought yourself to the den of no return, Amelia!” he snarled,

My heart plummeted, and a gasp escaped my lips. Is that what it is? I can't believe I was such a fool to have thought that Hams wouldn't hurt me. No wonder Hans has been quarreling with him since we arrived.

However, threats don't scare me. And I'm not afraid that he has transformed into the dangerous thing he brought upon himself. And instead of letting Amy shift as she had requested, I pulled away from Hans, snapped my eyes wide, and they flickered in blue light.

“Amelia, stop!” Hans yelled, his voice moving with the heavy wind. “We need to get out of here.”

I ignored him, spread my arms, and snapped my fingers. My eyes emitting blue lights were fixed on Hams, and as the mist started floating on my fingers, my lips curled into a smirk.

“You want this?” I asked, lifting myself into the air. “Then you will get it!” My voice crashed like a thunderclap, shaking the building.

The morning sun illuminated the glass window and found its way inside the room, radiating on my smooth, pale face. As I tried to open my eyes, a sharp pain surged into my head. Slowly, I sat upright, leaning my back on the bed frame, and gently parted my heavy eyelids.

Yesterday was the worst day of my life, a day I will never forget. Perhaps I should even write about it in the book of history so that my generation to come will know what I went through.

All I wanted to do was to help that stupid jerk realize he was getting himself into trouble by joining the Dark Shadows sect, but in return, I got stabbed in the back.

He knew what he was doing, and he only acted nicely towards me to make me go closer to him and get rid of me. I thought I would be able to bring him down, but I was wrong. The dark magic in him overpowered mine, and he knocked me down before I could realize it.

Leaving that pack yesterday wasn't a joke; Hans had to carry me because I was so weak. And Hams chased us until he couldn't chase us any longer, and when he saw that we were closer to our pack, he turned and left.

HAMS MORGAN

I literally tried to talk Amelia out of following me to the Arkonix pack, as I knew that Hams’s attitude towards her was just to get her into his pack to carry out his evil tactics.

Since the very day we spoke to him about bringing Rowan out from the pack and he agreed to it instantly, my mind hasn't been at rest. I know Hams a lot; we grew up together, and I know a lot of things going on in his mind because, as twins, our minds are connected. Maybe Hams doesn't know it yet, but I found out about it when we turned 18.

I realized I could hear his thoughts when I thought about him and was deeply focused on it. That was how I found out he was the one who requested that Rowan transfer all the dark magic in him into Ham's body.

But Amelia didn't listen to me; she was so eager to go to the pack and have a word with Hams too, because according to her, Hams and I would break into a fight, and we wouldn't achieve our aim towards him.

However, things took a drastic turn when Hams acknowledged he was part of the dark shadows sect. He showed his real intention of killing Amelia, but he wasn't lucky because I blocked the way, daring him to fire the magic at me. But he didn't, because I wasn't the one he was after.

“When I am done with Amelia, I will come for you!” he had said to me.

But even he knows that he will never be done with Amelia. Her power was gifted to her by the moon goddess, and no matter how much she has been hit, she will still stand on her feet and fight the evil.
But he? He obtained it the wrong way, and when it consumes him, it will be too late for him to turn back.

I can't believe I am twins with Hams; he has a dark mind and only does things that will benefit him alone. It was his greediness that pushed him into harboring Rowan and his Valtorium pack members in the pack.

To take over the Valtorium Pack and merge it with the Arkonix Pack, but that will never happen. The Valtorium Pack now belongs to Amelia because she was the one who killed the Alpha of that Pack.

The land and all that is in it go to Amelia, and whoever tries to stand in her way will have to walk past me first. She is my mate, and no matter what happens, I will keep protecting her and stand by her side.

“We need to come up with a plan on how to deal with Hams and Kairos, Hans. I hate that wolf, and I want to tear his limbs apart!” Kael growled.

And we will plan a way because I cannot sit back and watch Ham's plan on how to attack Amelia. And if this is how he wants to play it, then I am ready for him. Game on!
