Chapter 115 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 115 Untitled Chapter
MATILDA

Although I was quick to pull Hans closer to myself and engage him in a passionate kiss when I perceived Amelia's scent earlier on, it still scares me that Amelia walked in on us at that moment.

What if she heard all the confessions I made to Hans?

It isn't the right time for her to hear about it yet; I'm not done with the things that brought me into this pack.

Amelia believes and trusts me. And seeing me inside their room, she would know that it wasn't me who brought myself there. It was Hans who invited me.

What if I lie to her and say that I was lured into the room for Hans's selfish interest? I can pretend to be crying, and Amelia wouldn't have any choice but to believe me.

Oh, yes! Now my mind is at rest.

I inhaled deeply, exhaled, and picked up my phone from the bed.

However, before I could reach the door, the furniture in the room started shaking, the floor started vibrating, and in the blink of an eye, smoke enveloped the whole place.

I hastily turned the keys, locking the door, and positioned myself in front of the bed.

“Master?”

I bowed my head, praying so hard that the demon king hadn't come to punish me for the mistake that I must have made.

“When you were sent here, I didn't order you to fall in love with these creatures!”

His tone was so sharp that it pierced my chest like an arrow.

I couldn't believe I had provoked the demon king, who, among all other demons in our realm, chose me because of my competency.

“I…am so sorry, master, it…”

“Silence!”

Oh my goodness! What have I caused for myself now?

The demon king would shatter me into pieces if I'm not careful.

“What mission were you sent into this pack to do?”

“To get rid of Alpha Amelia, master.”

“And what are you doing now?”

“What would get me closer to Amelia?”

“No!”

My goodness!

“You are doing what will get you far away from Amelia! You were much closer to her when you returned to the pack with her. And now, you are detaching from her each passing day.”

“But…”

“Didn't I warn you before sending you to this place? I said I was going to kill you if you fail to get rid of Amelia.”

Those threats were still clear in my ears like crystal. However, that was evil. How could he threaten to kill me if I fail to kill Amelia?

I wasn't the one who volunteered to invade the Lunskye pack; it was he who chose me out of all the other demons in our realm.

His stupid reasons were that I was smart and manipulative.

“Stay away from Alpha Hans if you want to achieve your aim in this pack. Amelia is a threat to us; she possesses powers that would kill us at once!”

Lesson learned. But staying away from Hans? I don't know if it is possible. My heart has grown so attached to him already.

“I will do as you say, master.”

When his breath dropped, I lifted my head, and my eyes met with his.

He was still the most horrible, ugliest, and meanest demon I have ever seen.

What made him uglier was the two horns he had on his head and the dry thorn he called a hair.

“Hans now has the record of your confession in his phone.”

What!

“You must find his phone and discard that video before he gives it to Amelia.”

Omg! So that was why he lured me into the room, to take a video of me confessing?

I should have known that was why he decided to be nice to me at that moment.

Hans never loved me; he never liked me. And how sudden a change should have alerted me that he was up to something.

“Find that phone, Matilda! If it gets to Amelia, she will get rid of you before you can do that to her!”

“Mas…”

The room cleared and brightened up.

I dropped to my knees, swallowing the revelation I had just received bitterly.

Hans outsmarted me.

No way! Amelia must not see that video. I have to find his phone and wipe it out.

I got up, unlocked the door, and hurried out of the room.

Hans wasn't inside the room when I got there, and he wasn't in the bathroom either because the water wasn't moving.

I headed towards the walk-in closet; perhaps he could have hidden the phone there. But I found nothing in there either.

Everywhere in the room was searched, but I couldn't get ahold of the phone.

Suddenly, an idea crept into my head like an insect.

What if I use my powers to find the phone? Then it would be so easy.

Without having another thought, I sprang into action.

As soon as I let out my power to zoom the room, a dark shadow appeared in front of me, startling me.

“Are you out of your mind!”

The demon king snapped at me in wrath.

“I am sorry, master, but I have to do it to find the phone. Please, allow me to use it one last time. As soon as I find it, I will never summon my powers until I find a way to get rid of Amelia.”

“You are playing with fire, Matilda! Do you know what you just did? You have sent a signal to Amelia!”

Ahhh! Could anything ever go right?

“Now, you must find a way to make Amelia know that you are not a demon because it isn't time for us to kill her. Her power is still strong; we haven't done anything yet to suppress it.”

The second he disappeared, the door opened, and Amelia appeared.

She had a smirk beside her lips, the type that indicated she knew everything already.

“Al...Alpha Amelia?”

I stuttered, lowering my head to avoid eye contact with her.

“What are you doing in my room, Matilda? Did you forget anything here?”

That tone. She sounded like she wasn't angry with me. Is she pretending?

“I…i came to uhm…”

“To kill me?”
