Chapter 108 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 108 Untitled Chapter
Suddenly, anger surged into my heart. My fingers snapped by themselves, and I felt like I was being controlled. My legs, which were weak earlier on, snapped back to their strength, and I was up on my feet again.

I grabbed the door handle, yanked it off the door, and kicked the door with my leg. It fell, the sound echoing in the hallway like a thunderclap. Shockingly, when I stepped inside the room, Hans and Matilda were standing in front of the desk, holding each other.

Hans's hands were on her waist, and her hands were wrapped around his neck. When the door fell, and they turned towards the door, they broke free from each other, and I could see Matilda shaking, her eyes fixed on the floor as if she was going to break it open and fall into the hole.

Hans, on the other hand, stood there like a statue, his hands inside his pockets. He didn't look like he regretted what he did, nor was he afraid of what I would do.

“Is this what I get in return, Matilda?” I yelled at her, lunging towards her to teach her never to betray me again. Hans stepped in front of me, blocking my way to Matilda.

“Amelia, do not harm the innocent.”

The innocent? Was he referring to Matilda as the innocent? I didn't know when tears and laughter broke out from me.

“She is innocent, so leave her alone!” he snapped, his eyes as red as flame. I was taken aback as that was the first time Hans was shouting at me and the first time I was seeing his temper.

“Are you taking Matilda’s side now, Hans?” I wanted to know so that I would know my place in his heart. “Yes, I am taking her part!” His words hit me like a dagger, and I staggered back, holding my chest.

As if that wasn't enough to send me into the cave of depression, he added. “I never loved you. Matilda is the one I love, so stop wasting your time and stop getting jealous over this.”

In my presence, he grabbed Matilda’s wrist and drew her closer to himself.

“If you don't believe what I said, then watch this.” He placed his hand on her chin and locked his lips with hers.

I couldn't stand it anymore. I was done hearing and seeing betrayal. I turned towards the doorway and ran out of the office, crying my heart out.

While running towards my office, I bumped into a hard object, causing me to fall on the floor.

“My goodness! Amelia, what is wrong with you? Why were you running like a little pup, and why are you crying?”

That voice! That was Hans’.

I lifted my head, staring at Hans, who was standing in front of me with a fake concern plastered on his face.

Why did he follow me out of that office? Is he already done with the love of his life?

“Get out of my sight, heartbreaker!” I shouted at him, removing my shoe from my leg.

“What are you talking about, Amelia?”

I threw my shoe at him. However, he dodged it. I removed the other one, threw it at him again, and this time, it landed flat on his chest.

“Get out!” I screamed, my voice piercing the walls. “I don't want to see you anywhere in front of me again, and I don't want to see you in my pack. Go back to the evil cave you call a pack and live the rest of your life with your evil twin brother.”

He stepped closer, looking as confused as ever. But I don't care. I know that is all pretense, so I will pity him and give him another chance. But I am done. I don't give second chances. If you misuse the first, then that is the end.

“What is going on here?”

Swiftly, I turned to the stairs and saw Matilda standing there looking as confused as Hans was. Wasn't she also in that office just now? What is she doing on the stairs? When did she leave that room and come back?

“Are you guys trying to mess up my brain? What do you take me for? Someone you can fool?” I cracked up, getting up from the floor. “Stay away from me, Hans. Stay away from me, Matilda. If any of you step foot into where I am, I will cut your legs off, and that will be the last time you walk!”

I pushed Matilda out of my way, and as I turned my back on them, a loud thud hit the back of my head. It was Matilda who fell on the floor and started screaming in pain. But I don't give a damn.

“Amelia?”

Hans ran after me instead of helping his lover get up from the floor. “Please wait.”

Seriously, if Hans doesn't stop following me, I will kill him right here, and I won't regret it. Right now, the only thing about him in my heart is hatred, an enormous hatred that will never fade for thousands of years to come.

I stepped out of the building and headed towards the parking lot, but still he didn't stop calling me, and he didn't stop running. Before I could enter the car, he caught up with me and grabbed my wrist.

“I am so confused, Amelia. You and I didn't get into a fight before you left the packhouse this morning. Why are you acting this way? And why are you crying?”

Seriously, he is still pretending? Wow!

“If you don't release my hand, I will chop off your leg from your knee!” I threatened, staring at him with wide eyes filled with flame.

He released my hand and stepped back. “Please calm down, Amelia. We need to talk about whatever it is that is happening to you. Is it because I have refused to tell you what healer Matt and I discussed at his house? I will tell you everything, and I want to assure you that we didn't discuss anything that you won't like.”

Oh, that is what comes to his mind, right? I can't believe Hans is making a fool out of me. And I swear, I can lose it anytime soon.

“Any word from you and you will regret what I will do to you.”
