The camp was still as Necro lay on the ground Lady and Nova at his side wile the witch was still with Harris, Blair and the coven coming closer and closer all be it slowly, unsure on what has just happened. Necro was still laying on the ground his mind was flashing over all the things that had been undone.
The witch seemed to feel better as she laughed as if she had just taken vengeance, but she didn t feel any better inside. Necro flared up as he jumped to his feet and a ring of fire rapped around the girls neck, his head tilted as he condoned killing her.
"NO! Please." begged the other members of the coven as they raced over, Necro cut them off with a stone wall.
"Your just like them." Gasped the witch trying to breath.
Necro looked in to her eyes, she wanted to die.
"STOP!" said Nova as stepped between them.
Standing still he didn t move, Nova used her own magic to take the ring of fire and extinguish it, and bring down the wall.
"What are you doing?" asked Lady.
Necro just started to take heathen breaths "I ve had so much hatred, so much pain. That was the last straw, I was being reasonable I gave up my powers to help." he snarled as his anger and vengeful side shone thought and added to furry.
Nova soon felt as she was to balm as she backed away.
"Give me one reason why I can t cut her down?" he asked.
"Because, your not your grandfather." said Lady trying to get thought to him,
"No." said Necro "I m worse."
Everyone watched as he turned and sat back down around the camp. No one was sure what he meant but they all just shrugged it off as they ounce more got ready to leave.
As Blair opened the portal Harris led the others though.
Nova looked at Necro and then towards Lady. "You should talk to him." she said.
Lady looked at him and felt no reason to help and just left saying "There s nothing I can do."
Nova took one more look as Blair stepped thought then Necro jumped to his feet and stormed though the portal, Nova was the last one though before it closed.
As they walked in to the city other people where there to help as guides, but past them stood Bella, Harris and Blair had gone off to rest, wile Lady had left as well. Nova watched as Bell came over to her grandson.
"What happened?" she asked.
"A witch tricked me took my powers and broke the orb that they where held with in." he grunted.
She tired to hug him but he stormed off.
Nova came over. "What s wrong?" she asked.
"I, I don t know." she replied.
Inside the throne Lady was on the chair an Harris and Blair where with her.
"Ounce you bring in the next group keep going back and fourth." said Lady.
"What about the others?" asked Harris.
"After what happened." added Blair.
"It s nothing to worry about we have people to help and there s a kingdom to run." said Lady.
They left as Nova and Bella came in and Nova took her seat.
"What happened back there?" asked Nova.
"I don t know." said Lady. "I can t explain it, I felt like we lost are connection some how."
"What ever it is." said Bella "He s changed."
"I felt it too." said Lady.
"How, what s changed?" asked Nova.
"I think that, after getting his father back, he wanted to have the life he never got and now it s gone, because of the actions of his grandfather." said Bella.
"But what he said." argued Nova.
"What did he say?" asked Bella.
"That he was worse." butted in Lady "He said he was worse the his grandfather."
No one knew what that meant.
Necro stormed in to his room, the king-size bed at the back wall in the middle, with bookshelf s on thee right hand side, all the books form his old home, next to it was his black glass mirror and after that was his brewing set used for making healing potions. On the other side was a set of doors leading to Nova s room, with chest of draws wardrobe and dresser on the wall as well. As he stormed in and flung his hand s down on to the brewing table and hung his head and sighed.
"What s up bro." came a voice.
Looking up Necro saw that death was looking at him form the mirror, his skeletal appearance in a black hood, made him little to no scary, as his voice was more calm and chill.
"I lots my magic."
"Well, it s not the end of world, hay what have you been up to anyway."
"Wait why can I still talk to you?" he asked.
"How the hell should I know, are link s not magical, it s just to do with your powers."
"Which I lost."
"Well I ve got no clue, but I like the new digs."
"It could to do with the fact, are link was made some other way."
"Who cares what s on your mind you look worse then me and I m dead."
"When my necromancy was taken, I lost my father."
"Wow, how?"
"I killed them and reanimated his corpse."
"I ve missed a lot." he said.
He sighed "I feel like I ve lost part of myself."
"Magic is magic, give or take it what is it really."
Necro sat on the thought for a wile.
"Oh and your granddad says high."
"Who s worse me or him?" he asked.
"Really scoffed." Death "Your or him."
"Yes."
"Him."
Necro thought back to what he said and what he had done
"Your a good person." said Lady. "Oh high death." even thought she was unable to see him she was bale to tell when he was present.
"How you doing girl."
"What are you doing here?" grunted Necro.
"I figured out what you meant by what you said." Lady said reaching out to him.
"And what was that?"
"You think that your worse then your father, because you have the capability to do worse things then he has, but you never have, your helped Nova, looked after me and helped the sick for years." she said as she walked over to him. "You re a good man and a better friend."
"Listen to her man." agreed Death.
He smiled as she laid a hand on his face as he moved around to see her, she caught a glimpsed in to his eyes before he looked down, still smiling.
Pushing his head up she smiled back "Now we have a queen to help."
"Thank you." he said as he kissed her.
As their lips touched, it felt strange and they both broke it off. Bella rushed in to see them brake of their kiss.
"I m not interrupting am I?" she asked about to back out.
"No." they both said at ounce, uneasy about their own kiss
"Good because Nova has ran off." said Bella.
"What why?"worried Lady.
"I don t now." sighed Bella.
"I do." said Necro "She convinced that going back out was a good idea and it lost me my magic. She must blame her self."
"Then why leave?" asked Lady.
"Maybe she s going to find someone to help her, I don t know."
"Then we better go after her."
"I ll go, I can still cover ground as a dragon."
"I m going to." Lady insisted.
"Are bound is broken, you don t have to stay by my side." he grunted.
"I m going because I want to." Lady replied "And I ve always gone with you because I chose to but because off the bound."
"Fine." he grunted as he took off.
Lady followed closely behind.
They where at the guild remains looking over the bricks of what was still standing and the piles of rubble that was left.
"Why did you bring us here?" asked Harris.
"Mother always said, it would be where we would go as a last resort." she said as he sifted brick dust though her hand. "I thought some others might have come here, but." She turned to leave when something behind her moved.
Crawling out form the rubble was wounded old man, then form all sides they started coming until they where backed up tougher with people on all sides.
"Please help us." they asked.
Pausing they stopped to see these where not magic users but those in need of aid.
"What can we do?" asked Blair.
"We can t leave them." insisted Harris.
Look around she saw women and children as well, what ever happened here was harsh, with no other choice. Blair opened a Portal in to the heart of the court yard and stepped though leading the others in to their new home.
Bella was looking out on to the court yard when she caught notice of what was going on, Blair and Harris where helping people in to the city, in rush she race down and out in to the court yard.
As she raced over past the fast forming group she was both shocked and confused.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"I can t stand by the let these people dye in the ruins of the guild." protested Harris.
"You found them at the guild." said Bell even more confused.
"I thought some clans might show up." said Blair.
"That was a good thought, but how come so many where there, everyone got out or was killed." Bella explained.
"Well I found them there."
Bell spun around to see them all, no magic was being used, and they where people in need of home food and shelter.
She turned to the people on duty. "Get them what they need." she said.
They nodded and started to send them off like the others.
"You two with me." she said leading them away.
Nova was back in the woods, she was touching down as her dragon self. The lush green plant life and clear stream was of no concern, she just walked in to the cave mouth of the large rock, where her father the dragon lived.
As she came in she saw him laying peacefully on the ground, his off white scaled skin showing off in the dim light of the cave.
"How nice to see you again." he smiled. "What s the matter."
Even though he was distant, he knew when his own daughter was upset.
"I need help." she said.
"Is it that important you need to visit, we dragons have a telephonic link for a reason."
Distracted she quarried further "Why?"
"We are not the type of begins to stay in one place, we travel. The links we share with are children and partners allows us to speak where ever we are, and communicate to each other."
"So why have you been here, for years?"
"I was tricked in to giving up my soul to be bonded, I was young at the time and naive, but he too was tricked in to tacking it, that s why I staid here, knowing if I was killed I would be forced to do as he commanded."
"Who bound you."
"A young Necromancer, a dragon born too." he remembered "He came back and warn me after wards, but the bound was broken a wile ago."
"So why haven't you left."
"I have come to like it here, but I have been planning my leave, I was just on my way out."
"Oh." sighed Nova.
"But before I go, you wanted to ask me a question."
"Oh, right yes" she said remembering why she had come "Is there a way to get back lost magic?" she asked.
"Nova." called Necro.
She looked back to Necro and Lady enter.
"You are the Dragon, who looked after nova for me, thank you." he said.
"That s not why I m here." he said with urgency.
"Then why?" asked Nova.
"You don t have to do this." said Necro "I can live with out my necromancy, it s not important."
"My dear boy, all magic is important, most of it comes form us Dragons."
"Wow." said Necro.
"But I can t help you, there was an old trick, but you will need to find someone far older then I." he said. "Even some magic is lost to time."
The three watched as he stood up flapped his wings, soon beams of light began to brake though as the rock seemed to brake around them. Soon the cave was gone and in it s place was the small smooth rock that had sat covered in moss for years and the three where out side across form the stream looking on as Nova s father took off in to the sky.
"Who s older then a dragon?" asked Nova.
"Another Dragon." wondered Lady.
"Or a necromancer." said Necro.
"My father said he was trapped by one who was also a dragon born."
"When was that?" asked Lady.
"When he was young, which is a long time, since he was old when he met my own grand mother, according the story I was told." she said.
"It must have been my father, which means the dragon soul my Grandfather had captive was your father." thought Necro.
"So does that mean Miss Bella is oldest person alive then." thought Lady. "Seeing as she s your grandmother."
"Yes, which means she might be are best hope."
Necro took flight and Nova was surprised he didn t wait for Lady, he came back down for her to climb on then the three left over the sky ounce more.
At the Dragon castle tensions where high over the occupants, everyone was gathered in the throne room as always. Harris and Blair where waiting for Bella to return, as she came in they both turned to her.
"Everyone seems to be getting along and with all the magic going on her things are better the then expected." said Bella.
"But who are those people and why are they like that?" asked Harris.
"And how did they end up there." added Blair.
"In all likely hood, when the Necromancers came back they brought with them their bounded souls and left them behind in the guild when they brought it down." said Bella "They where know for having as up to ten each, so it makes seance that you found so many."
"What does this mean for us?" wondered Blair. "We all ready over whelmed her as it is. "
"It means we ll have a larger community and maybe they can help out as well, the castle can t be staffed with magic for ever." pointed out Bella.
"They can t go anywhere else like the other groups we brought over and it makes sense in the long run." said Harris.
Just then someone came in, they where one of the wizards tasked with guarding the gate.
"You should come and look at this." they said.
The three left in a hurry.
As they reached the gate they climbed up to the wall and looked over to see an army standing out side with a dragon.
"They re all magic users." said the wizard.
The three where shocked to see so many.
"We have come to claim asylum." they shouted in unison.
"Let them in." said Bella.
As the gates opened they started to walk in.
"Does that mean we have to stop?" asked Blair.
"No, they are those who saw beckon and took the long way around, they are those who still need of are help, but with are new allies maybe we can send more scout parties." said Bella.
The tree smiled as they looked out at their new found citizens of the Dragon castle.
Necro, Lady and Nova where flaying above the lava riddled dark-stone grounds far passed the castle. As they grew closer they saw the castle up ahead and it had changed. A city was being erected the court yard was shrunk down, the walls where lined out on the side and plant life was sprouting up.
"This looks like they ve got a lot of work done wile we ve been away." said Necro.
"They have." said Nova "They ve created the Dragon lands Kingdom." she smiled.
"Better then what is was when I grew up here." said Lady.
The three touched down in the court yard and where greeted by Bella.
"We ve got a lot to catch you up on." she said.
The three followed her as they where lead thought the court yard and in the castle they ended up in a new room, it was a large room with chairs all a round a rectangle table.
"This is where we can conduct are business." said Bella.
"Good idea." smiled Nova tacking seat.
Bella and Nova both noticed when Necro and Lady sat apart.
"A large group of non magic users and an army of magic users where brought in." said Bella tacking seat "With their combined power, we where busy converting the ground out sdie the castle in to city and the tunnel meant to be used as a city is becoming a new guild, where also getting the castle fully staffed again."
"Where are Harris and Blair?" asked Lady.
"They re in charge of coordinating the search and rescue, with all the new man power, we ve been able to expand it ten fold."
"That s good." said Nova.
"I need to ask you something." said Necro.
"What is it." Bella replied.
"How old are you?" he asked.
"That s a bit personal."
"I need to know if you can help me get my power back."
"What do you mean?"
"Nova s father told us there is accent magic that might be bale to help but we need to find someone who is old enough to know it in order to do it."
"I m sorry, for everything I truly am, but not even I know how to help you." confessed Bella.
"Okay then." said Necro, as he got up and left.
"You should go after him." said Bella.
"Why me." protested Lady.
"Why are you acting like this?" asked Nova.
Lady decided to go after him not wanting to upset Nova.
Necro was storming though the halls in anger and furry when Lady came up behind grabbing him by the shoulder, forcing to him to turn around to face her.
"Stop it your making Nova up set." argued Lady.
"Oh I m sorry, your not the one, who lost their magic and can t get it back."
"Why are you acting like this?"
"Like what."
"Like I m the bad guy."
"I m just a little pissed that, after going after Nova to bring her back we get some good news and come home to find it s now good."
"Is that it, I never even had magic get over your self."
"When did you start getting on my case." snapped Necro.
"Wait you ve got a point." said Lady "We never used to argue."
Necro paused and thought about it "I think I may know why."
"What is it?" asked Lady.
"You know are bound."
"Yes, it s broken."
"Don t be smart arse." said Necro "The bound can cause those who uses it to become closer, in more ways then being friends."
"That s why we got along so well, for all those years,"
"Yes and know it s broken, we are finding out that life is not what we ounce thought."
"So are we going to keep arguing."
"No, it s just that are connection has been broken, and now were starting to feel the side effects or a forced affection no longer being there."
"Is what we had even real?" asked Lady.
"The thing about the bound it can t come form no where, it forces people closer and helps them bound, what we felt was are own enhanced emotions for one another." he explained "I was alone for years, and you where just started to be treated like a person again. It makes sense that we would have bounded so fast."
"What does that mean for us?" she asked.
Necro remained silent as even he was unsure.
