Chapter 20
"We're here," he informed, standing next to the door. Opening the door, I entered. The room was quite similar to my previous one, which was subjected to ruination. "Thanks," I said, looking around my room. "Emily..." I heard him say. I looked at him. "Yes?" I asked. His eyes were slightly dark blue; meaning that he wasn't in a good mood. "Don't leave this castle again. Understood?" he warned firmly. His strict expression compelled me not to reply coldly. "I won't leave you. I told you that before," I answered. "I'll send Gertrude to assist you," he informed, leaving my room. "Okay. Good night," I called. "Good night," he replied in a dull monotone, walking away. Sighing, I closed the door and walked towards my bed to sit down. After a few minutes, Gertrude walked into my room. "Welcome back, Miss," she greeted. I noticed that she looked paler. "Thank you," I said. Then she started to help me get ready for bed. *** Bright light was shining on my face, making my eyes flutter. Yawning, I managed to open my eyes. I looked at the digital clock on the bedside table. It read 09:43. Using my left arm, I cautiously sat up. I felt very peaceful that day and I sighed in content. This feeling is magical. Then I looked to my right and was shocked to see Harry sitting on my bed next to me. "Ah! What the hell are you doing here?" I shrieked, offended. He was leaning against the bed frame, reading a book with nonchalance. "Well, good morning to you too, little girl," he smiled, looking at the book. He was wearing a formal black suit. "Harry, get out!" I yelled. "Don't you know that you can't just slip into someone's room, especially a lady's room?" I hissed. Closing the book and placing it between us, he looked at me with mischief. "I'm serious Harry. Leave right now. Prince Nath—" "Chill. Nate isn't here," he said, interrupting me. "What?" I asked, bewildered. He sighed. "You really need to get your hearing checked, little girl," commented Harry. I narrowed my eyes at him. "What I meant was; why isn't he here?" I clarified. He shrugged. "He had work to do," he replied. "When will he back?" I asked. "Aw! Does the little mate miss him already?" said Harry. I rolled my eyes. Harry sure was annoying. "Harry..." I firmly warned. He put his hands up in surrender. "Fine. He's going to come back after a week," he informed. My eyes widened. "He didn't tell me that he'll be gone for a week," I stated. I didn't know why I felt so annoyed by the fact that Prince Nathan didn't even bother to tell me that he would be gone for a whole week. "Well, Nate is always reserved," commented Harry. "And why are you wearing a suit?" "Well, I needed to wear something that'll make me look pleasant in your eyes..." he flirted. I kicked him on his leg. He didn't wince, sadly. "Cut the drama," I sighed, exasperated by his overreaction. "Uh! Fine!" he groaned, crossing his arms. "...So now what...?" I asked, bored. "What am I supposed to do here?" "Hey, don't look bored! Just think about it; a whole week with no Nate and the best part is, you get to spend it with me throughout!" highlighted Harry. Hmm... A whole week with Harry... I smiled. Looking at my smile, which showed my approval, Harry started to jump on my bed, ebullient. "Yes! Party time!" announced Harry, clapping his hands like a little kid. I shook my head in embarrassment and in amusement. "Harry, you sure are something..." I mumbled, smiling.
