Chapter 15 Someone Asks for Death
“Yeseus, let’s go in the morning. What we need to do is plan now.” Angus was trying hard to convince Yeseus but the Alpha still continued on stepping outside the door.
“Angus, you will not be coming with me.” Yeseus' commanding voice echoed in the darkness of the night. “I need you to guard the sanctuary for me. Daevar might have stationed his other members around.”
The fairy’s eyebrows raised. “Do you mean to face Daevar and his pack alone? Come on, Yeseus. I know that you were once an Alpha and you’ve got more decades of experience than Daevar but wake up! This is a pack that we’re talking about. Daevar might have already mated with Klishei so it's safe to assume that his power has been doubled by now.”
Yeseus grabbed Angus’ collar and pushed him to the wall. The impact shuddered the surroundings, knocking down a wall lamp and shaking the bulbs of the ceiling.
His werewolf eyes glowed in anger. For the first time, Angus saw it being directed at him. He gulped. The fairy had truly triggered the Alpha in him.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Angus was quick to realize his fault. His wings looked like they were ready to fly anytime now. “I only meant well, believe me. It was careless of me to casually talk about Klishei.”
“Don’t you ever mention that again,” Yeseus snarled. When the fairy nodded, he let go of his hold. Angus’ palm touched his chest, fearing thankful that he got to keep his head.
Yeseus’ voice then returned to normal like nothing happened. “While I’m away, I’ll put you in-charge here. I don’t plan on losing, if that’s what you’re worried about. I’ve been lenient to the last of my brethren. But now, I guess it’s time to complete my unfinished business.”
Yeseus set out deep in the night. When he reached the trail that he left earlier at the place where the stream of the waterfall split into two rivers, he closed his eyes. He invited the power of the moon to take over him. A chilling sensation washed over him and he felt himself change into something bigger.
When he was ready, he opened his eyes. Without wasting time, he ran at full speed in his wolf form. As he ran along the riverbank, the waters reflected him--big, black, and beastly.
The night offered him life. He reached the trees and his paws jumped from one tree to another, sticking close to the forest and using their natural strong smell to camouflage his scent. Although it will not fully conceal his aura, it will still help in the amount of time his enemies need to confirm his identity if ever they sensed him.
But even as the landscape changed from all his running, he could not focus completely. Angus’ mention earlier of the possibility of Daevar having sex with Klishei bothered him so much it filled him with anger.
Klishei’s moans and irresistible passionate cries suddenly came to mind. He could still taste her. Even thinking about her right now was making him crazy.
Her petite body arching in satisfaction, her mouth that he seemed to have not yet got used to no matter how many times he ravished it with his tongue—Yeseus will not accept that another man will have the pleasure of tasting her.
Klishei was different. She may appear as a strong independent woman on the outside but at the bed, she loved being led, allowing Yeseus to fully exercise his dominance. Her curves and breasts were a bonus.
Yeseus felt himself being fueled by anger and determination. He had to get her back. He will not allow Klishei to be defiled.
The appearance of the crimson-colored moon eighteen years ago shifted his daily routine. Being alive for such a long time had bored him to the core. He even gave up on experimenting on how he should die. He had tried everything but to no avail. His curse was binding. And with that, life was just a series of going to and fro at the sanctuary where his last purpose of protecting it atleast kept his sanity.
But the moment the moon cast its blood red color that night, something stirred in him.
He had been hearing of it but he did not realize that he would get to see the birth of the Phoenix. And according to the legend, every vessel of the Phoenix was always mated to an Alpha as she was the perfect description of a strong bride, someone that could establish a whole race and be a pillar to the pack. But to make her his mate was not his intention.
Her exitence piqued his interest, wondering what was so special about her. Not long after, he developed the urge to protect her because this was the woman who could mkae him experience pain that was close to death. From then on, there was this obsession that he could not just hide.
The Phoenix Bride arrived in his time. When an Entity and a human’s world collide, nothing is ever a coincidence. Klishei Aizal was meant to be his and he intended on making it the reality.
Silently, he prayed to the moon, asking that all is not late.
