Chapter 24

Felix was standing in the dark room staring at Selina while she slept, not saying anything. Her beautiful features were adorned with an ethereal radiance as the moonlight poured through the curtains. Dark desires against ethics caused Felix's thoughts to be filled with a chaotic mixture of longing and limits.

Felix mumbled, "My girl."

Felix cautiously stroked the curve of Selina's smooth ankle with his fingers, a careful touch that was yet filled with need. Against the intensity of his own emotions swirling inside him, he couldn't help but wonder at her body's fragility as he caressed her delicate skin.

Felix saw the several hickies he had left behind on her body the previous night, and as tempting as it was to add more, he preferred holding her ankle and making his mark there.

Felix could only watch in the room's low light as Selina twitched ever so little in her sleep, a small scowl ruining her otherwise calm face. Even in her deepest nightmares, it seemed as though she could feel his presence, her subconscious responding to the sensation of his hands on her flesh.

Felix felt a strange mix of affection and possessiveness when he saw the red markings he had made on Selina's ankle. Although he was aware that he ought to feel guilty for making her feel uncomfortable, there was a part of him that delighted in the proof of his dominance over her, an implied confession that he wanted to take her as his own.

However, a rush of uncertainty passed over him as he looked down at Selina's sleeping body. He knew that what he felt for her was wrong, that his actions were driven by a dark desire that threatened to consume him whole.

"I shouldn't be doing this," Felix whispered to himself, his voice barely audible in the stillness of the room. "She deserves better than someone like me. Someone who can't control his own desires."

Felix criticized himself, but even as he did so, he couldn't take his eyes off Selina, his heart torn between his need for her and his concern for hurting her. He realized then that he was stuck, unable to release himself from the grip she had over him, entangled in the claws of his own wants.

Felix touch was feather-light on Selina's skin as she stirred in her sleep and reached out to delicately brush a stray lock of hair away from her face. He gave himself permission to daydream about what could have been, the possibility of a time when he could call her his own, for that brief instant..

But deep down, Felix knew that such a future was nothing more than a distant dream, a mirage that would vanish at the first light of day. And yet, despite the darkness that threatened to consume him, he couldn't help but cling to the flicker of hope that burned within him, the hope that one day, he might find redemption in the arms of the one he loved. In her arms.

“Soon, love, soon”. Felix whispered.

Suddenly, Selina stirred, a faint whimper escaping her lips as she struggled against the invisible bonds of her nightmare. Felix's heart constricted with a pang of guilt, realizing the distress he had inadvertently caused her. He wished he could erase the marks from her skin, to banish the evidence of his intrusion and soothe her troubled slumber.

As Selina's eyes fluttered open in a panic, Felix disappeared without a trace. He watched from afar as she frantically examined the red marks on her ankle, her fear evident in the air. It was a moment of reckoning, a huge reminder of the consequences of his actions.

“What the hell?” Selina exclaimed.

She didn't fall, didn't trip, didn't hit her leg somewhere, she doesn't sleep walk, and her shoes arent that tight, so how else would she have gotten the marks on her legs?

In that moment, Selina's world seemed to spin out of control. The realization that someone had invaded her room, violated the sanctity of her home, filled her with a sense of dread unlike anything she had ever experienced. She struggled to rise from the bed, her muscles trembling with the effort as she attempted to confront the unknown intruder.

“Oh my God!” Selina exclaimed, fear gripping every inch of her. Someone was in her room and she was immobile. She couldn't move. She didn't even know.

As Selina lay on the bed, her ankle throbbing with pain, she felt a wave of helplessness wash over her. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as she struggled to come to terms with the terrifying reality of her situation. The knowledge that she was vulnerable, that she could be targeted by an unseen threat at any moment, filled her with a sense of dread unlike anything she had ever experienced.

With trembling hands, Selina reached for her phone, her fingers fumbling with the buttons as she attempted to dial the emergency services. But before she could make the call, a sudden knock at the door jolted her out of her reverie.

For a moment, Selina froze, her heart pounding in her chest as she tried to make sense of the unexpected interruption. Who could be knocking at her door at this hour? Was it a friend, Amara, come to check on her in her moment of need? Or was it someone more sinister, someone with malicious intent? Like her intruder?

With careful steps, Selina made her way to the door, her mind racing with a thousand different possibilities of who it could be. As she reached out to hold the handle, she couldn't help but feel a sense of dread, a gnawing fear that threatened to consume her.

Her eyes widened in shock as she opened the door and saw Felix standing there. A brief feeling of comfort washed over her when she saw his face, even with all of her emotions churning. However, Selina was unable to get rid of the uneasy feeling that was eating away at her insides.

Looking at Felix, there was something in his eyes, something that screamed evil. Selina couldn't pinpoint what it was, but there was a nagging feeling in her head telling her to run.
