Chapter 8 Natalya Replacing Isabella
Natalya, Elizaveta's daughter stood across the dungeon entrance with her arms locked under her chest.
"Why won't you let me go in, Dmitri?" She rolled her eyes at the tough, burly looking man who stood in front of her, stopping her from entering the dungeon.
"I'm sorry, miss. Boss order,"He explained.
"Oh goodness! Nikolai said three days, today is already the third day. Let her go! You men are such heartless animals," she walked back a bit then pounced on Dimitri but her feet, hands and body was very little compared to Dmitri's build.
He was built like a polar bear.
One of his hands could literally wrap around her entire waist and easily pull her away but he didn't do that.
Rather he let her play against his body because he was certain his rock body wouldn't move an inch against her dainty little figure.
"Ah! Move it already!" Natalya hit his chest hard and let out a wince.
She was the one who felt the pain.
She got down quickly from his body, eyes turning red as she looked at Dmitri.
"Take a look at what you caused. Now, my knuckles are all bruised," she complained, lips pouting as she raised his fingers for him to see.
Dimitri swallowed hard, he couldn't look at her, so he whipped his head in another direction.
"You shouldn't be here, miss. Go back to your room," he said sternly, eyes never meeting hers.
"Fuck you, Dimitri, I'm not giving up, I will be back again," she huffed, stomping her feet as she walked out.
Just then, Dmitri flicked his eyes to her receding figure.
His chest tightened as he watched her black hair swaying above his hips as she walked.
He shook his head.
He shouldn't be looking at his miss like that!
Nikola didn't have an ounce of sleep the previous night.
And now, the files he had requested for, were all ready for him in his desk.
He had intended to use half the whole day to go through each and of the files deliberately, so he wouldn't miss any details inadvertently but now, Elizaveta had come looking for him.
"Why don't you release the poor girl. Her little sister has been crying and asking for her sister. She has refused to take in anything, solid or liquid. She's still a little child, why don't you let her sister go for her sake."
"Again, with these disturbances," his eyes flashed coldly against her, "It seems you have forgotten something, Elizaveta. I do not care about anyone or anything at all. When she's truly hungry she would eat. Do not disturb me again with such petty talk. I'm busy, leave." He spoke heartlessly. Truly he was devoid of emotion.
"But Nik, she might truly die. Stress, tears and hunger are all different. Even if she's hungry, she won't eat until she sees her sister. Just this once, Nik. Please, bend your words just a little bit." The woman's voice was low and filled with so much emotion that sounded foreign to Nikolai.
Her words just infuriated him more, "I've been so lenient with you, Tyotya. Why don't you let your daughter replace her? Hm... Since you want her released so much! You seem to have forgotten your place and now, you're trying to meddle with my affairs."
God damn!
Elizaveta felt a slight pang to her chest and her breath hitched.
His words were like a sharp knife cutting through her.
She has never dared meddled in Nikolai's affairs because she knew the consequences of knowing more than she's supposed to.
But now, a little girl was at stake and she didn't even feel like she was meddling in his affairs.
She just wanted him to be a little lenient with Isabella at least for the sister.
She tried again, "Why don't you release her for a few hours at least to meet with her sister before putting her back in the cell. At least two hours."
"One.More.Word and it will be Natalya in there and not Isabella!" He warned coldly.
Just then his office doors swung open,
Natalya was walking with ragged footsteps, her black hair bouncing high as she walked,
"Why don't you go ahead and just do it, Nik. Put me in there and release Isabella. How could you be so heartless. A little girl is falling sick and crying and here you are, acting all might and all..." Natalya spat rudely at him, words still heavy at the tip of her tongue before her mother pushed her behind her.
"Shut up Natalya... How could you speak to him like this... Shush," she cautioned her daughter and turned to face Nikolai.
His knuckles were already white from fisting his palms. His eyes were growing dangerously black.
A shiver ran through both Elizaveta and Natalya's spine as Nikolai's dark aura felt palpable but Natalya swallowed hard and stared hard at him.
"Oh really! Heartless you say!" He replied slowly, standing from his seat.
"Y-yes." She replied.
"Okay. Replace her, then. At least it's only for a day, right?"
"Fine! I will do just that!" She shrugged, turned and walked out of the room, her mother ran after her.
"Ayla, wait!" Her mother screamed after her, but due to her old age, she couldn't run to meet her daughter.
Natalya ran to the dungeon with reddened eyes.
She had looked up to Nikolai as her brother, since she didn't have anyone but his actions towards two sisters was something she wasn't going to take.
Her shoulders hit Dimitri's abs and she staggered back.
She looked up at him, "Do I have to bring Nikolai down here for you to step away from my way? Get the fuck out of my sight! I'm replacing Isabella. Now move!"
She tried walking past him again but he was unyielding,
"Why are you replacing her?" He asked, his voice very husky and deep that it sent a rush of chill down her spine.
Natalya looked up at him,
"Why don't you go ask your fucked up boss?"
She moved past him and this time he didn't stop her.
Instead he let his feet drag him towards Nikolai's office.
Natalya was too fragile and little. He knows
she can't spend an hour there. She was going to faint.
