Chapter 12

'Am I going to the right place? This feels like the road to hell,' Anna muttered, with the horror she felt in every her footsteps. Her eyes were active and alert looking around. The atmosphere was similar to the setting of the horror films she used to watch.

'Why would a human want to live in a scary place like this?'

While grumbling, Anna wondered, looking at the building that was said to be occupied by Leon.

Well, Anna finally decided to visit Leon's residence. She felt she had to get clarity on what he had done.

Anna continued to think about what intentions were hidden in Leon's attitude towards her and Belle. Especially after the crazy dream that kept reminding her, Anna became increasingly afraid of what Leon would actually do to her.

'I can't stay silent if you have bad intentions towards me and my daughter.'

By saying that full of determination, Anna clenched her fists and put aside all the fear she felt, about her having to enter the cage of the monster, aka 'That Beast Mafia, Leon'.

And this is where Anna is now. Right, in front of the big gate which is the main entrance to the scary castle. Anna seems using her thin hands to knock, or rather bang on that terrible gate. And not long after, a guard approached Anna, with a face that looked angry because of the noise that Anna was making.

'What the fucking are you doing, bitch? How dare you make a scene here? Do you know whose residence this is?'

Anna didn't seem afraid even though she had to face a fierce man in front of her. Instead, Anna put her hands on her hips and lifted her chin. As if she wanted to fight and show her courage.

'Leon. Tell him, I want to meet him.'

The man frowned. Judging the woman in front of him as crazy. Because in all this time, no one has ever acted like her.

'As long as I'm still kind because you are too beautiful young lady. I warn you to just leave if you want to be safe from My Master.'

But Anna just ignored the warning, she even chuckled at the man in front of her.

'I'm serious, Miss. Trying to face Mr Leon will only lead you to your death or the hell.'

'Just meeting him was like encountering hell for me. So tell him I'm waiting and want to talk to him,' Anna replied. The man shook his head, unable to understand Anna's annoying and stubborn attitude.

However, it seemed that the owner of the castle didn't need to hear Anna's wishes through the guard, Leon had already listened to everything his uninvited guest said. Of course, Leon was just as surprised and confused by Anna's attitude, more than the castle guard who was still dealing with Anna right now. From the terrace of the castle on the second floor, where Leon was, he witnessed Anna's behaviour, which still looked like a reckless woman. She's always only put her emotions first rather than the consequences she might receive.

'Mr. Leon, we will immediately manage that woman. I make sure there will be no more commotion caused by that crazy woman,' said Javier, Leon's loyal assistant.

'No. I told you not to touch her,'

With a warning look, Leon replied.

'Let that lady in. Prepare tea and food on the table for her too.'

Leon's assistant was surprised for a moment, until he nodded his head quickly, ready to carry out Leon's orders.

'And remember, don't touch her. even a little bit.' Once again Leon warned.

'Ya-yeah, my lord.'

Whether it was because of Jervanos' previous words to be gentle with Anna, or because of his curiosity that prompted Leon to act like that, Leon still didn't realize the reason clearly. But what is certain is that he wants to get to know Anna better.

'Just think of this as fulfilling my curiosity...' he muttered.

And not long after, Leon's assistant approached Anna who was still arguing with the castle guard.

'Let her in,' he said when he arrived. Anna looked in disbelief at Leon's assistant.

'Mr. Leon was waiting inside. Come with me, I'll show you the way.'

There were mixed feelings in Anna's heart now. She didn't know that Leon seemed to already know about her presence.

Anna took a deep breath first before she stepped into the castle which felt like the door to the abyss of hell. However, Anna continued to stare around the castle which felt like a devil's nest. Especially, when her eyes found the side of the castle building which seemed to have burned down, leaving only abandoned building rubble.

'Damnn, what kind of human he is?' Anna muttered softly, in her steps following the man who walked first in front of her.

'He is the type of person who will cut your tongue when you say something wrong. He will cut your hand when you do something he doesn't like. He will also break your legs when you dare to do something he hates. And don't forget, Leon is also someone who will easily take your life, when he doesn't like your existence in this world.' Javier gave a long and scary description of Leon's figure.

Then, Anna swallowed her saliva with difficulty. Even her hands were shaking, which she tried to hide by clenching them tightly because of all the explanations she had just heard. 'Oh, it's not too late Anna, You can still escape before you are buried alive by that cruel Mafia!' Anna thought, telling her to just go. Her head had even turned towards the entrance gate which she had not long passed through.

Anna looked nervous, so she was very hesitant to go in and wanted to just run away now.

'You still dare to meet Mr. Leon, Miss?' Javier asked.

'Yes! Of course, why wouldn't I dare.'

Oh, Anna! You still dare to act, even though you are scared to death to meet him! Anna cursed herself silently in her heart.

Javier certainly realized that there was so much fear in Anna right now, that he just chuckled. Judging Anna's cuteness. In fact. She didn't need to hide her fear. That is a waste. Leon was indeed a person who was greatly feared, even by himself, who had been his assistant for a long time.

'Okay, let me take you to your chair in the room.'

Deep in Anna's heart, she regretted what she was doing right now. Her instincts told her to leave immediately. However, she was stubborn and continued to enter the palace which looked like a haunted house.

'Please, sit. Miss. Mr Leon will be here in a minute.'

Anna complied. She began to feel wary of everything she did. Her eyes continued to look alert as she glanced around.

A maid was seen approaching Anna with a cup of tea and several cakes on the tray she was carrying.

'Your tea, Miss. Please enjoy it,'

The maid said politely. However, Anna was more nervous now! So instead of enjoying the tea that was served to her, she drank all the tea in her cup, until there was nothing left. The maid just smiled when he saw Anna, as did Javier who saw Anna's nervousness.

Likewise, a man was standing at the end of the room where Anna was currently sitting. 'You seem thirsty? Isn't it an easy way to get to this castle?' Leon said. And it was too sudden for Anna. So she started coughing because of her surprise at Leon's sudden presence.

'Do you need more water?' Leon offered. Anna immediately moved her hand, rejecting Leon's offer. Somehow Leon's kindness still sounded scary to Anna's ears.

'Are you sure? Just mineral water?' Leon asked once again because Anna didn't seem able to stop coughing. But Anna shook her head, still refusing.

'But your coughing hasn't stopped. You should drink a glass of water to stop...' Before Leon could finish his sentence, Anna was seen quickly stopping her coughing. It was the most incredible control Anna exerted on her body. It seems that fear makes her able to do things that are somewhat impossible to do.

'I've stopped coughing. I don't need water. Thank you very much.' Anna said to Leon, in a slightly strange way. So awkward.

'Okay.'

Leon then sat facing Anna. And that makes Anna even more tense now.

'So what do you want to talk to me about, that you came all the way here.'

Anna considered very carefully the answer she would give Leon. But her head was very dizzy now, Anna was scared and nervous so badly that she couldn't think properly. Anna even forgot all the emotions she wanted to explode at Leon, which was why she was able to be in the castle that could take his life away.

'Um, that... that's about...'

And just as Anna was about to start saying something, her eyes stared at Leon's face very closely. Her eyes seemed to slip behind the pirate mask that Leon was wearing. 'Why does he wear a mask like that, even though in my dream his face was very handsome...' Anna secretly wondered in her heart as she continued to stare deeply and intensely. Anna even looked at Leon's lips, which were still attached to her memory, and how those soft lips fondled and satisfied her desires.

'Your lips...'

Anna didn't even realize she was muttering what was in her head.

'What? My lips? What's wrong with my lips?'
