Chapter 14

When I got home, I didn't know how to tell my grandfather about what happened to me.

He definitely wouldn't believe it.

Luckily, Katie came to my house and listened to my entire story.

“That gangster Master definitely likes you!” she concluded, “Go after him!”

“I'm not crazy yet!”

I've only seen Kevin three times, and I almost died both times.

I still want to live for another two years.

“What if Kevin is willing to give up everything for you?”

“Well, this question is quite simple. If you were going to die tomorrow, would you still consider so much? You would have beaten Kevin to death by now.”

What kind of twisted theory is this?

“No!” I won't marry anyone. I am going to spend my whole life with my grandfather.

“Well, then introduce his brother Patrick to me. The one who treated you to drinks at the bar, handsome and loves to act jealous.”

“I don't have his contact information.”

“Just ask Kevin!”

I dare not.

Kevin said that if I continue to contact Patrick, he will get rid of Patrick.

The thought of it is terrifying.

“Forget it, Katie, they are not the same kind of people as us. They are bad people.” I can't harm her.

“How bad are they? Are they as bad as your sister and mother?”

“I remember she stole your boyfriend, and your mother even warned you not to compete with your sister. Besides, I just like bad boys.”

She's right.

When I found out that Timothy was with Lily, I approached Lily.

But before I could say anything, she and my mother slapped me together.

“What makes you think you can compete with my daughter?”

My mother kept saying “my daughter,” but she wasn't referring to me.

In her eyes, I was just the illegitimate child of a rapist and should have died long ago.

“Katie, why do you think I'm so unnecessary?” I sighed.

“You're not unnecessary.” She turned over and hugged me. “Your sister has a face so big that it can't fit into a cell phone, and a heart darker than that stinky sewer. That's what I call unnecessary.”

Thank you, I feel comforted.

I slept until the next day and someone came to the clinic.

Timothy?

I don't even want to see him now.

But he blocked my path.

“You haven't come home for two days.”

“And then?”

He looked at me in surprise. “Did you go out with that guy from that day?”

“Do you really have to ask when you've already seen it?”

I really didn't want to talk to him any longer.

“Christina, you've changed. How can you willingly indulge in such a person?”

“Well, I've changed. What right do you have to control me?”

He stood there for a long time, looking disappointed, and walked away.

What was I like before?

I studied hard and tried to be good for him because I liked him.

I even chose a veterinary major to be in the same university as him.

I followed him silently for three years, even when I confessed my feelings to him, I couldn't sleep for several nights worrying that we couldn't even be friends.

In the end, he agreed to be my boyfriend, but we broke up in less than a month.

Just a few days after the breakup, he started dating my sister who used to bully me.

But he had witnessed my sister bullying me so many times. It's not like she was a good choice. Why did he choose to be with her?

This world is always fantastically unbelievable.

“Stina, you've awakened. You wouldn't have dared to speak to Timothy like this before,” Katie gave me a thumbs up.

“I used to care too much,” I sighed.

When I returned to school, I heard that Timothy and Lily had broken up.

Timothy was very resolute.

Lily cried miserably.

When Katie told me about it, strangely enough, I didn't feel much emotion.

Just three short months felt like several years had passed.

I was exhausted.

On the way home after school, I noticed someone following me again.

I turned around and saw Lily.

“Christina, someone saw Timothy coming to see you yesterday,” she aggressively approached me and slapped me.

The slap made my head ache.

“It's none of your business, can I control it?” I got up from the ground and slapped her back.

“Do you dare to hit me?”

She went mad and tried to grab me, but this time I didn't back down and fought back.

“Christina, are you shameless? Do you know why Timothy broke up with you?”

“He found out that you are a criminal, he finds you dirty.”

Find you dirty...

These three words instantly left me confused.

So that's the reason.

My heart felt as if it had been torn apart.

She poured iced tea over my head again, “You still don't know, do you? I told him.”

My mind felt like a string had snapped.

I rushed over to tear her apart, but then her video call rang.

“Christina, you little bastard, dare to hit her and see!”

“If you touch her, I'll send you to jail!”

It was my mother's voice.

Lily always knew my weakness.

I swear I no longer long for motherly love, but at this moment, my heart felt so sad, so heartbroken.

In the end, I just threw the iced tea at her and said, “I won't get back with Timothy. Both of you disgust me.”

After throwing the cup, I turned around and walked away.

What's the point of fighting Lily?

Even if I win, so what?

She has a mother, I don't, I already lost long ago.
