Chapter 149 Victorious

Chapter 149 Victorious

Coban's POV

We are all gathered in the sitting room. The attacks on those three packs should have just started. Now we wait.
"Do you think they will have any problems tonight?" Mark asked as he got up to get Tina a snack.
"If I thought that they would've had trouble, then I would've sent our Royal Lycan warriors as well." I said, as I rolled my eyes.
Trixie smacked my chest lightly and the electric shut off. "Babe, watch your attitude. I know you're on edge right now, but that don't give you the right to be an ass." she said with an eye roll of her own.
"Damn Coban. You even pissed off your own kids." Kevan laughs as the light flickered back to life.
"Damn those babies have major attitudes already. Remind me not to piss them off." Mark chuckles as he sits back down.
My eyes kept drifting back to the comm panel mounted near the far wall. Still nothing. No flashing lights. Nothing at all.
I tapped my fingers against my knee. My jaw is so tight that it hurts. Every second stretched longer than the last one. After those visions that came to me earlier, I'm on edge. I know how important these three battles are for us. Maybe I should have sent some Lycan warriors in. Well, it's too late for that. Damn I hate the waiting though.
Mark shifted across from me. His legs were crossed. He was far too relaxed. "You're gonna burn a hole through that thing if you keep staring at it." he said as he raised his hand and motion at the comm.
I snapped my head towards him. "If you've got something useful to say then by all means say it. Otherwise, shut the hell up." I spit as I stared at him.
The room stilled. Everyone was afraid to even breathe too hard.
Before Mark could fire back, Trixie leaned into my side and smacked my chest again with the back of her hand. "Hey. I said stop being a damn ass." she said as her eyes started glowing.
I looked down at her. Irritation, obviously showing. "Now is not.." she smacked me once more. Gently but firmer this time. "Babe please. You're stressing everyone out, including me."she said, as she looked me into my eyes.
Thats when it happened.
A sharp pulse rippled through my chest, through the bond, and the lights flickered once.
Then everything went dark.
"Shit" Kevan muttered. The electric hum died completely. Silent swallowed the room. I froze instantly.
"Trix" I started to say.
"I'm fine." she said quickly, but I could feel it. The babies stirred hard. They were agitated. My heart slammed against my ribs.
"They don't like tension." Darien cursed under his breath. "No kidding." Lucian added from somewhere to my left. "Anyone else suddenly blind."
Roxie laughed nervously. "They definitely have a way of getting their points across Dont they."
The darkness stretched on. Seconds turned into minutes. Then all at once--CLICK. Lights snapped back on. The comm panel lit back up. Finally.
I was already on my feet when the first signal chimed in.
Alpha Torrence's face filled the screen. He was splattered with blood that looked like it wasn't even his. He was breathing hard, but he was still smiling.
"Report, please tell me you have good news." I ordered.
"Alpha Renaldo is dead. He took a silver-tipped arrow straight through the eye. He dropped fucking fast. That wasn't enough for me. I reached in his chest and ripped out his heart." Torrence said bluntly.
A few low whistles moved through the room. Torrence held up something to the screen. He was grinning like the Cheshire cat. Fuck! That's a fucking heart. "Would you like a souvenir?" he chuckled as blood was dripping down his arm.
"Hard Pass" Caden snorted.
"Status" I said, as I shook my head.
"Elder Travis just arrived. He's taking control and restoring order. I'm leaving 20 Warriors behind to help keep the peace." he said, as he was squeezing that damn heart in his hand.
"Good Job Alpha." I said as the screen cut off.
Another light flashed immediately.
Alpha Draven appeared next. "Arnold is finished." he said. "Took his head clean off." he continued, blood was covering him completely.
"Messy" Mark winced.
"Efficient. Elder Roy already stepped in. He brought order back fast. I'm leaving about 25 warriors to help them." he said as he tilted his head and held up something. "Want his head."
Caden grimaced. "Why does everyone keep offering trophies?" Draven laughed as the feed cut off.
The room barely had time to breathe before the final light flashed.
Alpha Rudolph came on the screen, his face was grim. "Edward is dead. His chest was split wide open. I tore his heart out myself."
Silence followed that one. "Elder Maggie already stabilized everything." I exhaled slowly. Three battles. All victorious.
Caden leaned forward "If your pack isn't ready in two days, let us know. You definitely already done your part. All six of you packs have." Caden said firmly.
The screen went dark. Relief rolled through the room.
Trixie shifted beside me. "Coban" her voice tightened. I turned instantly. "What is it love?"
She pressed a hand to her stomach. Her face was instantly pale.
"I'm having really bad pains."
