Inside, Genni sat quietly by the table in a world of her own and Martha realised she was probably conversing with Sapphire. But it was like this when Jonas finally walked in and beaming as he saw his wife by the table, accepted the coffee Martha was holding out for him and went to give Genni a kiss. Plopping the kiss on her head Jonas understood by the look in her eyes she was talking to sapphire so he sat and waited drinking his coffee. When Genni became aware that Jonas was sitting next to her she gave him an equally beaming smile. Holding out her hand so she could hold his he asked her where she had been ‘I woke up and you were not there, I didn’t like it’ smiling softly at her husband Genni explained what she had been up to during the early hours of the morning. Jonas was just as upset to hear the discord in the omega ranks and told Genni he would sort it out but Genni stopped him ‘Baby, this is something me and my team need to do. I cant explain it really. I suppose I just want to be know as their Luna and not just Selene’s daughter. Does that make sense’?
Kissing her hand Jonas told her it made complete sense but, she had to pace herself so she didn’t burn out, as he expected some of her time as well. Laughing, Genni slipped onto Jonas’s lap and put both arms around his neck ‘not a problem’ she said laughing again and pulled his head down so she could kiss him properly. Seeing this, Martha smiled to herself and took herself to the door, standing on the other side of the kitchen she made a point to shoo away anyone that wanted access to the kitchen, thinking that 5 mins should be enough time to say good morning. She had to look after her daughters best interests after all. “Her daughter” she thought. It made her so happy that she had a smile on her face and seeing this a young wolf thought it ok to enter the kitchen, that didn’t happen as Martha pulled him away and scolded him for being cheeky. Genni had opened the door now and was surprised to see so many pack members standing in the entrance way. Hearing one of them say to Martha ‘can we go in and get food now, I’m starving’. Genni could hear Martha tell the young man that the kitchen was out of bounds for 5 minutes, blushing slightly as she realised the reason they were all standing there she walked completely out of the doorway now and of course, seeing her made the pack members bow their heads. Walking up to Martha, Genni place a quick kiss on her cheek and said ‘Thanks Mom’ and Martha gave her a little wink. Genni spun on her heel and after addressing the pack members by wishing them a good morning and a good day she rushed up the stairs to her office
Promptly at 9am there was a knock on her office door and calling them in Genni stood to hug first Molly and then Sara ‘do you feel ok? I have news if you’d like to hear it or would you rather wait till Greg is here too’ blushing slightly Sara admitted that both her and Greg had hoped she had spoken with the goddess so Greg was actually hanging around outside. Rolling her eyes but smiling none the less Genni said ‘come in Greg, this is for you to hear as well’ bowing and smiling at his Luna Greg went to stand behind his Mate who had sat down on one of the office chairs. You could tell by the tension in his stance that he was extremely anxious to hear what Genni had to say. Genni linked with Jonas to ask where he was just as he walked in through the door, seeing Greg there as well he clapped his friend on the back, gently squeezed Sara’s shoulder and went to stand behind his wife.
‘Sapphire and myself conversed with our mother last night and we were left extremely frustrated with our conversation bar one good thing. The rest of the conversation is not important but we did get an answer regarding your precious cub. Our mother confirmed that nothing of our essence will be passed onto the cub and he will be a normal wolf’. Sara burst into tears, Greg bent down and hugged his mate from behind and Molly, who was already holding Sara’s hand starting shaking it and saying over and over ‘all’s good my love, all’s good’. Genni felt Jonas grip her shoulders and gave them a gentle squeeze as he linked with her and told her how pleased he was for them, but he was curious about the frustration part “later, my love” she linked back.
‘Well now, if you gentlemen would excuse us, my team and I have a lot of work to do’ and she dismissed the guys, they left, both whinging that they wanted to stay, but they did leave.
Genni explained to the two women what had happened to here last night and told them how appalled they were that the Omega’s didn’t get told the new structure they had created for contacting their Luna ‘to that end I propose a different set up for the Omega’s, specifically the unmated, unskilled and the ones that chose not to go on in school. I would like to set up some sort of club or clubs so that I can be apart of their lives. Like, once a week I join them in a casual coffee morning or Sapphire goes on a run with them of an evening, things like that’ genni stopped talking and tried to gauge the reaction ‘I think that would be a splendid idea, Your Grace’ said Molly, who still refused to say her name when they were in an official capacity together, I do believe I started to notice a divide that seems to start from the delta rank. I had been meaning to bring it up so I’m very glad that you found out and are willing to help’.
‘Yeah’ said Sara, joining in ‘I know that you made me your Gamma and Mom your Beta but as a wolf that has Beta blood I realised pretty quickly when we joined this pack that there are a few divides between the ranks. The Alpha, Beta and Gamma ranks are all fine, but its when you get to the Theta and Omega ranks that a bit of unrest starts’. Genni looked at Sara dumbfounded that she had never said anything, after all they had been part of the same pack for quite a while now. Even Molly was looking at her daughter incredulously. ‘What, what did I do’ said Sara innocently. Molly let out a very unladylike snort and Genni just closed her eyes and shook her head.
‘Sara, don’t you think information like that is essential for our Alpha and Luna to know, why in the Goddess’s name haven’t you said anything before’ her mother admonished her. ‘Geez Mom, your talking like I did this on purpose! I didn’t know that Jonas wasn’t as clued up as our old Alpha Daniel did I’?
‘What do you mean by that’? Asked Genni, surprised to hear this. Sara had started to blush now as she realised that she had said to much again. ‘Listen, Gen, since being with Greg I have learnt things that have bugged me but out of loyalty to him I’ve never mentioned them to you. But these are things that Greg has tried to bring up to the Alpha and has failed in his attempt to get the Alpha to take him seriously. Telling him that the ranks have always sorted themselves out and to leave it be. But it does worry my mate, Gen. it really does’.
Genni was shocked to hear all that, she linked with Sapphire and asked her to contact Jax and ask if he had noticed this. Although Genni could have linked directly to Jax herself, unless it was an emergency Genni felt that any linked contact with Jax should come from Sapphire. Sapphire agreed and said she will be interested to hear what his response would be.
