Chapter 93: The Luna He Rejected

Ivy’s POV

I was walking around the room, running in circles to calm myself down. Silvia had entered the ward as she started feeling contractions several hours ago. Yes, she was pregnant, and with twins. I could barely manage with one, and she was going to have two!

Killian was now two, and I have to say, they really called them terrible two for a reason. Also, he was a force to be reckoned with. He had gotten my stubbornness, and my goodness, sometimes I had to take deep breaths, so I could deal with a mini me.

Kaid always made fun of me because he told me that it was cute and that I had to deal with the same temperament that I had. He always reminded me that now I knew what he had to deal with sometimes.

Right now they had gone out to the lake. Kaid had taken him, so I could calm down, because I was really anxious about Silvia. Andrew was at the hospital, as I was as well, but the doctors told me to leave as I was making everyone else in the room anxious. That is why I was in my room, moving around until someone came or mind linked me to give me any news.

Esmeralda came at that moment. She didn't even knock on the door, but she didn't look excited either, so that meant that her niece wasn't born yet. She was worried about Silvia as well. My labor didn't take that long, and even if the doctor told us that it was normal for her, we couldn't avoid what we felt.

Esmeralda and Silvia had gotten pretty close, not only because we were all friends, but also because they were family. Michelle and Esmeralda got married last year, and they told us that they could have kids, but they were waiting for the right time. That was what Michelle said. Esmeralda told me that when she saw Killian she fell in love with him, but then, when she saw how crazy he could get, she even thought of never having kids.

Don't get her wrong, she loves Killian, but he can be a handful.

"Any news?" She shook her head, telling me no. I had tried to mind link Andrew to get some information, but he wasn't answering.

"The wait is killing me alive."

"You and me both, sis. I can't believe that they are taking so long to come out. Yours came like it had gone down a slide." I didn't know what was normal for a labor or not, but if Silvia was going through the same pain that I was, but during all this time, well, she had a higher pain tolerance than I did. I would have asked the doctor to take the babies out in that instant.

“‘Maybe her pain is more gradual?” Could be? I have no idea, Athena. I’m not a doctor.

“What is Athena saying?” Esmeralda asked me. She was the only person, apart from Kaid, that could know when Athena talked to me.

“I was remembering Killian’s birth, and how much it hurt. I can’t understand how Silvia could go through that for so long. Athena says that she probably didn’t feel the abrupt pain that I did.”

“Oh yeah, you were fine one minute and then BUM you were yelling at everyone.” I felt my cheeks redden. I was in a lot of pain and had told everyone to basically fuck off. I didn’t mean to, it just happened, and I was not proud of my reaction.

“Relax, everyone knew what was going on. If Kaid forgave you, we could as well.”

“Kaid has to, I am his mate.” I rolled my eyes at her. At least this conversation was taking my mind off things.

We continued chit-chating, until Michelle burst through the door like a crazy person.

“Luna, baby?” She looked at Esmeralda. The only thing that they couldn’t do was mind link, as Esmeralda wasn’t a wolf, so if Michelle wanted to communicate with her, she had to do it in the traditional way. Using a cellphone. “Doesn’t matter. You both need to come ASAP.”

“What happened honey?” Esmeralda approached Michelle, and the smile that she had on her face confirmed everything.

“They finally came!”

We could have teleported, but I didn’t want to startle Silvia or for Michelle to get dizzy. Not everyone can get used to magic, so it was best if we walked, or in this case ran, to the clinic. The first thing that I noticed when I arrived was that Andrew was holding the two babies. He was happy, but... he was also worried.

"Is something wrong?" I asked. He first gave one of the babies to Silvia, and he approached me with the other one. Judging from the pink blanket I guesses it was a girl.

She was stunning, she had the most beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair that Silvia did, but she had a mark on one of her arms. It was a full moon, and you would have thought that it was a birthmark, but no. It glowed, making it seem like it was made of silver.

"What is it, Luna? Is my baby going to be okay?" I had no idea what to say to him. I'd never seen anything like it, so I asked Athena if she knew what it was. She had a better connection with Selene, so she might know.

"She is blessed Ivy, there is nothing wrong with her, but blessed wolves sometimes have hard lives." She has us. We will make sure that she has a good life.

"She is blessed, Andrew. You can rest assured that-" I was suddenly interrupted by my son. He had come from the lake. Andrey had probably informed Kaid that the twins were already born, and he had come to see them too.

"MATE." What? How? They are just kids.

"What did you say buddy?"

"Mate." He said while he pointed at the baby that Andrew had in his hands.

Quick announcement. I am re-reading the whole book as they have asked me to translate it. I will also correct any spelling mistakes that I find, so please be patient with me. The story line will be the same, I will just be correcting some things that I have noticed that need to be polished. Also, there will be a sequel called "His Unexpected Luna" but it will probably be up next week or so. Updates will be weekly. I don't know yet if I'm going to publish it here or in another book, and would love to hear your thoughts on this. As always, love you all.
