Chapter 112 I Wanna Tell Everyone That You're Mine

Chapter 112 I Wanna Tell Everyone That You're Mine
Grayson's POV

Okay, five more minutes and I'll go to that restaurant to pick up Quinny.

Ever since Quinny gave me her location, I went straight here.

I just didn't want to risk getting stuck in traffic and arriving late. I didn't want Quinny to wait. If I'm the one waiting, that's fine.

But I also know better than to just walk into the restaurant. Instead, I'm waiting in the car I parked in front of the restaurant. That way, I can watch Quinn from here without disturbing her.

I really admire how hard Quinn works to give herself and Dylan the best life possible. That's why I can't bring myself to forbid her, because she'd definitely be sad.

So rather than making her sad, it's better to let her do what she wants. And I'll keep an eye on her.

Honestly, I regret forbidding her to work because we had a big fight afterwards. I just didn't want her to get too tired, but at that time I said it very harshly. So Quinn got angry and almost didn't want to be my therapist anymore.

Now I'm making amends. I want to create a comfortable environment in our relationship. No more forbidding things. If I'm worried, I'll just monitor and make sure we're both doing well.

Quinny taught me many things, including not to be childish and selfish. I am very grateful for that.

Okay, now the 5 minutes I was waiting for are up.

I got out of the car and crossed the slippery road. When I arrived in front of the restaurant, I paused for a moment.

I watched Quinn, who was still doing something.

I deliberately didn't go in first because I didn't want to disturb her. But her coworker saw me. As a result, both of them now looked at me with equally surprised expressions.

I waved my hand and gave a big smile. My finger tapped on the glass door. Quinn then quickly walked over and opened the door for me.

Her face looked very panicked. She even tried to push me out. "What are you doing here?"

"Picking you up?"

Quinn glanced behind her and then looked at me sharply again. "I know. I mean, don't come to the restaurant. My coworkers might get suspicious if they see us together. People who know you will also get excited if they find out you're in here. Please, Grayson, I want to work in peace."

I took both of her hands and gently pushed her back. I did it because her hands felt cold, and I didn't want her to catch a cold. "Let's talk inside, okay?"

Quinn sighed. “It’s too late. He’ll be suspicious because not only did you come here, but you’re also holding my hand.”

“I could’ve come here because I wanted to eat, right? As for holding hands, he won’t see it in this position.”

Quinn pulled her hand away from me and massaged her temples. “The problem is that you’re the first customer in a year. And you came after I got hired here. Don’t you think that’s weird?”

“Wait, so you work at a place that’s almost bankrupt, Quinny?”

Quinny seemed annoyed with me because she grabbed my arm. “The owner of this restaurant is too rich. So she doesn’t care if there are customers or not. The important thing is that the restaurant stays open.”

“She’s right. This restaurant is more haunted than a haunted house."

"Okay, now he knows," Quinny said, sounding frustrated.

A man as tall as Quinn approached us. He draped a napkin over his shoulder. "I'm Anton, Quinn's new coworker. I never imagined in my life that the most famous ice hockey player my boss idolizes would come to this restaurant. Unfortunately, she's not here. If she was here, she'd be hysterical seeing you."

I looked at Quinn and the man named Anton alternately. "Wait, wait. So your boss idolizes me?"

"Yes, as it happens," replied Anton.

"And welcome to workdays that won't be peaceful," said Quinn.

I clapped my hands. "Then don't tell her. Done."

Quinny rolled her eyes and pointed her right hand above my head. "If we don't tell her, she'll find out through CCTV." She then glared at me. "Congratulations on making me unable to work here in peace, gray bear."

I immediately took both of Quinn's hands and brought them to my chest. "I didn't know. I'm so sorry."

Quinn took a deep breath. "It's not entirely your fault either. I should’ve given you complete instructions that you should’ve just waited in the car."

I cursed silently. I should’ve taken the initiative even though she didn't say anything.

Ah, I really regret ruining her happy mood.

And I was also annoyed because Anton suddenly hit Quinn's arm with his napkin. "I don't want to interfere. But his car has been outside for 20 minutes."

Quinny turned with her mouth agape. "Really?"

I ran my fingers through my hair to calm my nerves. "Yes, it's true."

Quinny put her hands on her hips. "Oh my god, Grayson. You didn't have to come right away when I told you. You must have been so bored in the car with nothing to do. Next time, I won't tell you where I am until I'm done with what I'm doing."

I grimaced. "Don't be like that, Quinny. It's better for me to wait for you than the other way around."

Suddenly, we heard a bell ring, causing us both to reflexively look at the source of the sound.

"Guys, hey, guys, pay attention to me." Anton put his hands on his hips. "Don't worry too much. We can delete the CCTV footage. Besides, I won't tell Ema that you two are dating. Oh, by the way, Ema is our boss, Mr. Talon."

"Wait, how did you know we're dating?" asked Quinn.

I was also curious and put my hands on my hips. "Right, how did you know?"

Anton tapped his forehead and shook his head. "You guys made it obvious. First, Mr. Talon was waiting in the car in front of our restaurant. Second, the nicknames you use, Quinny and Gray Bear? Am I right?"

I reflexively nodded.

"Third, you were holding hands. I mean, you, Mr. Talon, were holding Quinn's hand. And lastly, I've seen Quinn attend your games. How do I know? Because I accompany Ema to every Frost Maple game, especially when you're playing there, Mr. Talon."

Anton’s explanation left me speechless. He was spot on. Every point he made was correct, and I only realized it now.

I opened my mouth to clarify. But Quinn spoke first.

“That’s just your analysis, Anton. We’re not dating,” Quinn said. It made my heart ache.
