Chapter 28 She can hear sentinels
"You can do this, you have a right in my life, Esperanza, but please listen to me," he said, but she does not want to hear him.
"My king, she is in exaggerated anger.,"Let her be this time, Raymond stopped him.
Ezra took a look at her face and found disgust for him.
"I am leaving this time, but will return," he said.
"This would not be happening, blood is forgiven by blood," she said and everyone was stunned.
Raymond took Ezra with him and their troops followed them.
"I am really sorry, Esperanza," Caspian said.
"You do not need to, " Esperanza said, and the moment she gazed at the dead bodies of her parents, her eyes filled with tears.
"Orion....," She let out and Caspian listened.
"Who is he?" he asked.
"No one," she blinked her eyes and tried to forget it.
Orion was watching her from a distance.
They buried them, and Esperanza was watching them go so far from her.
"Why.... Why did all this happen?" Esperanza cried, and Caspian cuddled her gently; she cuddled him back.
"I am so sorry....., I was not there, if I was there I would never step back," he said and Esperanza found the substantial essence in his words.
"You are saying the truth, I know," she let out.
Now she was worthy to see through the emotions and words of the people.
They got buried under the soil.
Esperanza was sitting on the side of the grave and remembering everything about her father.
"Emerson Hawkins, "The one and only saviour of Human Valley," was written on the grave; her tears burst out while reading this.
"Your father was such a saviour, I respect him so much," a man said and she nodded at him in respect.
" I will miss you both," She let out and placed roses on their grave.
She stood and Caspian ran to give her hand.
" You can stay at my place," Caspian offered her.
" I prefer to stay at my house," Esperanza said.
"For the first time in your life, you call your home a house," Caspian let out.
"The home is built through their people who live in it, but without them, the home is just a house," Esperanza said.
" You don't need to feel weak; you are stronger, and we all are with you," Caspian said.
"I am glad to hear this," Esperanza said, giving him a tight smile.
" Come let's go," he said and took her to her house.
" If you need anything, I am here for you, I am staying with you," Caspian said.
" Please, Caspian, I appreciate what you are doing for me, but I want to spend some time alone with my memories," she let out, and Caspian nodded.
" I will come to see you," he said and she nodded with a smile.
She walked into her shattered house, and everything was destroyed; every valued memory was lying on the floor.
At some distance, she found that the tunic her mother was sewing for her, which could make her cover in extreme cold, was completed and ready to wear.
She felt that pain in her heart her body started trembling from those tears crushing her being.
Orion was standing behind her and was watching every merciless existence of pure cruelty.
"I miss you, you are not my real parents but you are more than the real ones, "
"I cannot forget you, I cannot bear this pain, there is so much pressure on me," she was kneeling on the floor.
Orion could not endure and clutched both her arms.
"Esperanza......, get up," the glass that was shredded on the floor was crushing her knees.
He pulled her and made her stand with him.
"Stop crying.....," he brushed off her tears, but new tears appeared so quickly.
" My heart is wrenching, this life is going to be so cruel with me, without them I have never imagined anything," Esperanza cried loudly.
" How could someone be so heartless?" she let out, and Orion's heart was driven in shame.
" Why are you ashamed?" She asked him instantly removing her head from his chest.
"What? How do you....," he wanted to let out something but then he zipped his mouth.
" I am ashamed because some dragon has done this to you," He said.
" Would you kill him for me?" She asked cause now she was suspicious.
"Who.... Who?" He got flustered.
"No, you cannot," she let out, and Orion was all shocked.
"What are you saying?" He asked.
"For the reason you are a dragon too, how could a dragon hurt another dragon, the closest one?" Esperanza said, and Orion stood here with a stunned face.
" Why all these words?" He asked and
She turned with a smile.
"Maybe I am out of my mind," she replied.
" You should keep a check on your words," He said, and she nodded.
"Then what? You dragons are going to kill me?" She asked with a glare.
"No one can touch you; that weakling could only hurt your parents, but not you. I am with you," He said and clutched her hand.
" So you know that weakling?" She asked and he became startled.
"How? How could I? Are you out of your mind?" Orion tried to conceal his fear.
" I am glad that you do not know him," she let out in a tantrum.
"Because if you know him you definitely will be killing him for me," she let out with a smirk.
"Right....," He gulped and gave her a cuddle again.
" How could you, Orion.....," she let out while her eyes were filled with tears.
"There is more darkness, but I cannot reach it." She tried to engulf more, but in vain.
" Why can I see all this?" She was stunned as well as curious to get more about it.
"I want to learn how to fight, the same as dragons do," Esperanza demanded and Orion smiled.
"No, you fragile thing, you cannot take it," he said, and she made an irritated face.
"Okay, tell me why you want to learn all this?" He asked.
"I want to get somewhere," she said.
"Where can you tell me I can take you there," Orion said.
"Arctic flaming descend," she let out with a straight face and his heart started trembling.
"Why do you want to get there?" He asked.
"Why would I tell you everything?" She replied.
"Because I own you," he replied.
"Nobody owns me, no one would ever will," she said.
"You look different," Orion predicted.
" I am the same, but being stupid and being vulnerable are two different things," she said.
Her eyes looked blank; there were no emotions in them. The only emotion she showed was for her late parents and also for her fate.
"Life was so beautiful before this Dragon thing entered my life, it flustered everything," she let out.
"If that dragon never entered your life, then what would happen?" Orion asked.
" Life will go on, I never met you, I never met that King, and my parents would never die,"
"I will get married to Caspian and live my happily ever after with him."
"Stop this trash," Orion smirked.
" Do you think this is making me happy?" She asked.
"I know this is not, but marrying another man would never give you the satisfaction of your heart," He said.
"But this would never give me this burden on my heart, that I am currently enduring, you cannot understand," she said.
"I can truly say the only person who can understand you is me," He said, and she knows it.
"You can understand me after taking me to your place to learn it," Esperanza demanded.
"I cannot see your delicate hands doing all these things," He said.
" Esperanza are you okay?" Caspian knocks on the door.
"Are you with someone?" He asked, and Esperanza smiled.
"I am all fine, everything is okay," she replied.
"I am coming in," he said and walked in.
" Okay, you should leave," Esperanza said.
"I am watching you," he let out and left.
He was rushing to Felix's cause because he had heard something really unexpected.
Raymond and Ezra were alone in his room.
Ezra was silent and doomed, Raymond was observing his every movement.
"What happened King?" Raymond asked.
"Did you not see anything," Ezra replied coldly.
"Did you kill her parents?" Raymond asked.
"Why would I? There is no way I could kill them," he said, and Raymond nodded.
"Even if I knew that someone was going to kill them, I would protect them by myself,' Ezra explained.
" Her tears just cut me off, whatever she did was her emotion," Ezra said.
"My King would you tell me what happened there last night in the woods?" Raymond dared to ask.
"That was a miracle," Ezra whispered with a still face, and Raymond heard him.
" Who is the miracle?" Raymond asked.
"No one, you should leave I want to get some sleep."
He said, and Raymond nodded, but before he closed the door, Ezra asked.
"Do you know about that man?" He asked, and Raymond turned his eyes down.
" I am highly apologetic, but my king, we have failed to find him," Raymond said.
"Esperanza knows him surely," Ezra said, and Raymond nodded.
"But I cannot let out about this, this is the thing only you can do," Raymond said and closed the door.
"That golden light only indicates one thing," Ezra said.
"She needs to be saved," Ezra said while lying on his bed.
