He sat down on the bed, leaning towards her face, as his lips brushed lightly against hers and he grabbed her arms to further his assault.
Disgust crawled underneath her skin and she clenched her fists, once again, an action she didn't make it all the way through.
"I want to tell you something." She whispered and he frowned, pulling away to look back at her and make sure she wasn't hatching any crazy plans in her head.
"I am doing this for us. You know that, right?" He asked, brushing his hand through his golden, curly hair.
She nodded slowly, trying to fight the pain she could still feel from her throbbing head.
Lytio's lips stretched into a small smile and he leaned down to hear what she had to say.
"He will kill you." Her whisper was faint and his frown deepened, as he pulled away again.
"I will do anything for us to be together. I don't care about the consequences."
Her heart raced.
He was obsessed and it didn't seem like she could stall him any longer, she had to attack him.
She nodded, signaling him to lean down again.
He did, slowly, wondering what else he would have to say to convince her, determined that whatever her question was, he would have a response to it.
"I'm not sorry."
Her teeth came hard on his ear, biting it like her life depended on it, and even when she felt blood drip down her tongue, she didn't stop.
His cry of agony rang through her ears and she hoped that his shout would be loud enough for Anok to hear it, wherever he was.
He punched her stomach though and her mouth opened to let out the cry of unexpected pain, freeing him in the process.
He moved around, holding his ear, while he muttered some vile words under his breath.
She pushed herself from the bed too, pushing against the dressing table and chair next to her, making what was on it crash to the ground, as she staggered to the floor, fighting to escape.
His pull on her hair was violent, it felt like at that moment she had lost some strands of it.
"I don't want to hurt you!" He turned her to him and threw himself over her, pulling her hands together by the wrists and caging them above her head.
"Please, just stay calm, I will be quick. I promise."
But her struggling underneath him persisted and she started screaming even though her voice wasn't loud enough to move past the thick door.
"Stop shouting! Stop fighting me, Bell. Stop hurting me. Stop rejecting me."
The next thing she knew, he was forcefully parting her thighs, trying to settle himself in between them.
Her fear was so much that she was starting to feel numb from it.
Her helplessness terrified her.
"It will be qui---"
He suddenly tensed up and froze, before falling with a thud by her side, a small part of his body, heavy against her arm.
She quickly struggled to push him away but someone else was already doing that for her.
General Anok had the baby in his hand and his sword in the other, he quickly put his sword back in his scabbard, then pushed Lytio off her completely. He was quick, putting the sleeping baby on the bed and coming back to get her off the floor.
"I'm sorry, Milady. I should have been here."
His words came to her in a sort of echo.
She was just glad that he was here and offered him a light smile the blood on her teeth, making it uncanny.
Everything had happened so fast, one time she was in the room Aniya was occupying, and the next thing she was in hers, different ladies attending to her while a Physician rushed in.
It must be the fact that she knew that had been saved, because this time when her dizziness hit her, she didn't fight it.
___
He was sleep deprived and hadn't caught a wink of sleep since yesterday but that wasn't what mattered.
His anger consumed him so much that it threatened for him to lose his composure.
How dare that boy!
He had heard about what happened immediately after he got to the castle.
"How is she?" He asked, throwing the door open as he bypassed the General.
"She is feeling better, your Majesty but she is sleeping now." He rushed after him into the room, trying hard to keep his fear away from his voice but failing miserably.
His Donna was in bed sleeping but she didn't look good. There was a bandage around her head and little ones litter across the exposed part of her hands, and that wasn't taking into consideration if there was more on her body that was hidden away by the blanket.
The physician had told him everything, had even described the state of things to him as best as he could, but seeing her like this made him more than furious.
Everything made him angry.
His search had been futile and while he was away, his Donna had been assaulted.
He should have gotten rid of Lytio before now but he had kept him around to find out why he had done all that, just for him to get a way of staying in the castle.
He had wanted to know if he was somehow related to those who wanted to attack his Bride and he had wanted to find out more about that from him.
But he could obviously see now, that the golden boy had acted solo and his intentions were different. His servant had said that when they captured him, that his master was just so obsessed with his Donna, but he had refused to believe that.
Now, he knew it was true.
He stood up, looking at Anok, who didn't dare to meet his gaze.
"Your duty was to protect her. I thought you were capable of that."
"It was a lack of calculation on my path, Your Majesty." He fell on one knee. "I will never allow this to happen again."
Eli wasn't feeling in the mood to forgive, and with a snap of his fingers, he had sent him to the dungeon.
Now, his next target was Lytio.
There was certainly no punishment in the whole of Ignas that would be enough for that golden boy.
