Belladonna's heart had thundered in fear as she felt herself slip down to the ground, her head feeling strangely too heavy for her to carry, as she wondered if the whole baby missing thing was all a set up to pull her away from Anok, by the people who were after her life.
If this was just one of their missions.
If they had used Aniya and her baby for that, or if Aniya was simply one of them too.
Wondered if her parents had even left in the first place, or maybe they had not and this was one of their plans. If this was the people trying to kill her or her parents. But what difference would it make anyways.
They were both after her life.
Isa had made her intentions pretty clear.
Belladonna had reached down for her heels, feeling the action taking a toll on her, as she observed the bare feet at her eye level, one that moved around frantically.
"I'm sorry---" she knew that shaky voice. That voice that always made her feel sick to her stomach. "I didn't mean to hurt you, I--- just want to talk."
By the time Lytio was crouching by her side and holding her shoulders, her heel was already in her hand, and she thrusted it right into his face. But her sight was a little blurry and what she had calculated to be his eyes, had been his cheekbones.
He shot back with pain, growling loudly in agony, as he rose the vase he had dropped earlier to hold her, and crashed it right next to her, missing her head only by an hair's breath.
"Stop hurting me, I just want to talk to you." He yelled.
She flinched at the loud nose and the little pieces of the ceramic vase tang had flung to her body and buried themselves into her skin.
In a bid to comfort her, he attempted to speak to her quietly, only for his tone to come out in a frightened yell mixed with a craze desperation for her to listen to him without her eyelids fluttering close every second.
"I just want to talk. You won't talk to me if I asked politely. I didn't want to do this. By Ignas, you are bleeding!"
He lifted her up and in no time he was carrying her out of the bathroom, she caught a glimpse of Aniya still laying on the cold bathroom floor, before feeling the bed on her back. She could hear something ripping, then the next thing she felt was a piece of wet rag on her bleeding head, as Lytio wiped the blood away.
"I just want to talk." He said again.
Belladonna wanted to talk too. Say all the insulting words in the whole of Ignas to him, the ones that have existed in the past, ones existing in the present and even ones yet to exist from the future, but she couldn't because she could barely part her lips and speak.
It was her her tongue had gone numb.
Did he do this?
Make this 'grand' plan all for her to come to his room alone?
Was Aniya in on this with him too?
"How could you do this to me?"
His voice was muffled with the loud ringing sound in her ears, the back of her head still throbbing with pain, pain she was starting to feel in her arms and across her collarbone.
Although that pain was slightly different, it was tiny and sharp with pain while the one at the back of her head felt heavy and filled with agony.
"How could you move on when I clearly told you to wait for me. Didn't you read my letter?"
Letter?
What letter?
"I told you right on that wedding day to wait for me."
Was he insane?!
He looked like he was. His movements were shaky and his thoughts were coming out like raw nonsense.
When had he even woken up?
How long had it been?
The cold feeling against the back of her head as he kept on cleaning the blood made her shudder, her gaze fixed to the door as she hoped with all her heart someone would just burst in soon and rescue her. She wished she could do the rescuing herself but she couldn't, so her knight in shining armour had better make it through that door right now, or maybe even through the window.
She didn't mind.
Anyone would do, even if it were somewhere unthinkable.
"I didn't want the marriage, I only did it because I thought if she had a child, it would be mine. I thought---" he paused, "I don't want that marriage, I want you. I still do. I have always wanted you."
She felt his hands caress her cheek and her eyelids shot open, as she forced herself not to sink back into sleep.
She didn't want to seem vulnerable to him in any form. He could defile her if give the chance and she didn't want that.
In fact, the fact that he was touching her right now made her feel nothing but pure disgust.
He pulled himself closer to her, burying his face in the crock of her neck and she tensed up, clenching her fists weakly, an action that never quite make it all the way through.
His tears streamed against her neck, the wet, warm, moisture, making her want to claw her skin off, her head was aching, everything was wrong with her and yet, his closeness seems to the be what was wrong the most.
"I'm suffering without you, Bell. I'm in so much pain in this unhappy marriage. There is not a day that I have lived even one breath on a name that wasn't yours, not one morning, afternoon, evening that I have gone through without thinki g about your well-being, hoping with all my heart that you will be save for me, that the monster will not get rid of you or take you to his dragon."
Then he pulled away, holding her face in his palms.
"I don't care what ever has happened between you and him, I know you did it to survive. I forgive you. Now, I just have to find a way to make us be together again."
Belladonna's heart clapped like thunder right there, her eyes darted to the door and it was eerily still.
While Lytio moved around, mumbling to himself.
"He will never let you go willing. No matter what happens, he wouldn't." He muttered moving, around, while Belladonna gathered the little bit of strength left in her to fight for all it was worth, her adrenaline kicking in slowly, getting anxious at whatever it was Lytio was cooking up.
Then, like a pest, he found his way back to her.
"It's simple. I will take you." He declared. "Just like what happened to me. It wouldn't matter if you have no control of the situation, what matters is that it would happen. You would be asked to take responsibility and you will have no choice but to be my mistress. Because I will put so much of my seeds in you, you will be with child once I am done."
"Belladonna," she whined in pain and shock, her heart racing with alarm.
"We will have that family you've always wanted. My promise to you will be fulfilled. I promised that I will find a way for us to be together, right,?"
That was it.
She was in danger.
