Chapter 97 Sophia Rossi
"...I wish excitement could be transferred!", Isabella said in such a solemn voice after they shared a round of laughter.
"What?!
What does that mean?!", Celia asked, completely switching from the laughter she was relishing.
"Ohh nothing! I'm just so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open!", Isabella replied, her hands holding her baby against her swollen bossoms.
She certainly wasn't prepared for the growth in boob size, her perky medium sized breasts literally doubled due to milk supply.
Regardless she was really thankful she didn't have any complications or delay in milk supply.
Her baby was healthy and eating well, and except for the soreness down there and the fatigue she felt, she was doing well.
"That's normal! I'm surprised you still haven't taken a nap!", Miss Gina cut in.
"I should get some sleep!", Isabella suggested, bringing her other hand to cover her mouth as she yawned.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! What of my god daughter!?"
"What about her?", Miss Gina asked, confused.
"Her name?!
Did you decide her name yet?!", Celia questioned.
"Yes, I've decided.
Her name will be Sophia!", Isabella answered, earning such a cute face from Celia.
"Such a beautiful name!!"
"Not bad!", Miss Gina and Celia said simultaneously.
"Thank you!", Isabella acknowledged looking back at her daughter.
"Well! You should get some rest!
We'll take care of the baby while you sleep!", Miss Gina said.
"Oh thank you!", Isabella said, passing Sophia to Miss Gina before she positioned herself on her bed to sleep well.
She finally found a good position to sleep in despite the soreness.
"Frankly, I feel we should all get some rest!", Miss Gina added, looking around the room as she carried the newborn.
"Oh My God!", Celia squealed once she got a close up of the baby.
"What! What happened?!"
"What?!", Isabella and Miss Gina exclaimed at the same time, wondering why Celia suddenly squealed.
"She has green eyes!
I'm serious, it's like really green!", Celia said as the baby stretched a bit.
"How did you not see that when she was crying earlier?!", Miss Gina asked in disbelief as she shook her head.
"Ohh I know!
You were about to pass out!", Miss Gina teased as she brought Sofia to her Crib.
"Nope! That wasn't me!", Celia said defensively, when it was in fact very true.
"Oh really! Maybe we should go watch another delivery then!", Miss Gina teased.
"Do you have family members with green eyes?!", Miss Gina asked.
However, her question simply reminded Isabella of the reality that surrounded her child.
Sophia was Luciano's daughter, but she wasn't going to go around blabbing.
"Yes!", she simply said, feigning extra fatigue from the child she just gave birth to.
These are really beautiful!", Miss Gina complimented.
"Think we'll be able to squeeze on this extra bed the hospital provided?!", Celia asked Miss Gina as she made sure to wrap Sophia properly in her swaddle.
"I think we will fit just fine!", Miss Gina said before she proceeded to put on her coat.
"Where are you going!", Isabella asked weakly.
"When I was looking through the things we brought from the house, I saw that we didn't bring a periwasher! So I'm going to run home and get it, along with a nice meal!", Miss Gina said.
She had previously delayed going back, but since Isabella didn't eat like she was supposed to, she would just use the opportunity to do both.
"Ohhh alright! Will you take so long?!", Celia asked.
"Why?! And no I won't be gone for so long!", Miss Gina answered as she grabbed her bag.
"I'm supposed to step in for you, but what if I sleep off!", Celia replied.
"Ha ha ha!", Isabella and Miss Gina burst into laughter at how Celia looked while she confessed.
"It's okay! I should be back in like 2 hours! The baby's still a newborn so she won't make much trouble. Although, if you can't handle anything, just call a nurse!
They'll help you out!", Miss Gina said.
"Okayy!
See you soon!", Celia said.
"Alright bye!", Miss Gina said before she stepped out of the ward.
Seeing that she had gone, Celia didn't waste any time to approach Isabella.
She couldn't have had that conversation earlier as Miss Gina was still with them.
"Sooo...!", Celia said, gauging whether Isabella was really sleepy or slightly sleepy!
"Are you going to tell her father?!", Celia asked.
"No!", Isabella answered softly.
She was telling the truth as she had already made up her mind not to tell Luciano.
"Okay! But won't he find out!?", Celia asked.
"I moved to Umbria for a reason, Celia! I changed my name for a reason as well.
Plus, I don't think he cares about us anyways!
If he still hasn't found us by now!
He really must not care!", Isabella voiced weakly.
"How about your parents?!", Celia asked again.
"I don't want to talk about them for now! I just want to focus on my life with Sophia!", Isabella answered honestly.
"Okay!
We can have this discussion later!
You need to rest!
You literally just pushed out the most beautiful baby I have ever seen!", Celia suggested as she went to relish the space before Miss Gina came back.
She had thought about it, and she had come to the conclusion that she was just another girl to Luciano.
The thought that he could have multiple other babies that she didn't know about simply discouraged her.
That conclusion arose from the months of psychological torment Luciano put her and her family through.
She had managed to escape, and she was sure she wasn't going back.
She believed she could take care of her baby, and that was exactly what she was going to do.
Again, she looked at her beautiful baby, a smile carving itself on her face as she brought her shaky fingers to touch her daughter's cheek.
How cute, Isabella thought.
She kept glancing at her baby!
She felt very giddy.
To others, her daughter would be Sophia Bertinelli!
But In reality, she was the daughter of The Italian Mafia Don, Luciano Rossi.
