Ian's p. o. v
Rejection!?. Was she threatening me!.
"Are you threatening me?" I asked loudly.
She shook her head slowly and then wiped off her tears again.
"How do you feel about me, Ian?" She asked softly.
Damn it!. How did I really feel about her?.
It was complicated.
I didn't want to accept her because my belief was based on her lying, but the more I did, the more I came to see that she was somehow telling the truth.
Axel was already in love with her. If not, then he was already very fond of her, I could feel it even without his confirmation.
I was becoming badly drawn to her. I hated it when she crying too!. I wanted to hurt all those that made her feel sad, I wanted her in my bed and close to me, her calling me by my name made me feel very happy and I found myself loving it. It was crazy but that's how I felt. I came here rushing when I heard her scream, but it turned out that she was talking to herself. Now that she was mentioning rejection I felt a twinge of pain in my heart and somehow fear.
"Am I supposed to feel something for you besides hate and anger?" I asked then silently cursed at myself.
What was wrong with me!. It really wasn't what I wanted to say, it was the actual opposite.
The response that came out was more of a jerk defense.
"I see, then excuse me alpha." She whispered then walked into the bathroom shutting it closed behind her.
I groaned in frustration then slowly walked out of the room.
"It's all your fault, Axel." I whispered silently while I walked to my office.
"Alpha a word." Nana said once I reached the office. She was standing outside the room with a warm smile.
"Come on in Nana." I answered while opening the door wide for her.
"Thanks." She answered then walked in and went to sit on the couch.
I stood looking at her calmly.
"What will you do about what happened today?" She asked.
I folded my arms then shrugged.
"Nothing, was there something that went on?" I asked deliberately playing dumb.
"The ladies fight." She pointed out.
"Nothing, I will do nothing. Sherry is my wife that I acknowledge but she should never touch my property or harm it in any way without my permission." I answered seriously.
"Oh I see, so to you Sherry was in the wrong, not the slave. Is that what you are saying Alpha?" She asked.
I walked to my seat and sat down on the chair.
"The slave was only doing what she was ordered to do and that's to serve me. Sherry is wise and that's one of the reasons I married her, she knows better than to act jealous, she's not my mate and I feel nothing for her." I answered honestly.
She frowned deeply then stood up.
"Don't tell me. Did you just say she wasn't your mate?" She asked.
"Nana, she isn't marked by me and I feel nothing because of the curse." I pointed out.
"Yes but she's your chosen partner and Luna that makes her your mate!" She exclaimed.
I kept quiet and sighed softly.
"What if my true mate is someone from another pack, let's say a slave?" I asked in a low tone.
She gasped loudly getting my full attention.
"No Ian, you can't be serious. Don't tell me she has already seduced you!" She screamed in a loud tone.
Seduced me!. Hell no, I have had women way sexier than Sherry try to seduce me but they failed greatly.
"I'm never seduced." I answered seriously.
"Then she has got charms, perhaps she's a Witch and ..."
"Cut it out." I warned.
"Are you seeing yourself right now Ian?. Never was there a day you supported a slave this much, she has taken you under her spell!. You are completely under her palm!" She said on top of her voice pissing me off.
"Did you not hear the part where I said that I believe she might be my mate!" I exclaimed loudly.
"How many she-wolves have approached you with such words?" She asked angrily.
"A lot and ninety percent of them are dead. All those that did, got no reaction from either me or Axel, but she managed to move both our hearts and make us feel emotions we were incapable of feeling. No matter how I look at it, curse or not Nana, that lady is my mate and I want her." I answered seriously.
She was about to say something when the door was pushed open and Neo stepped in looking a little breathless.
"Don't you know how to knock?" I asked in a scowl.
"I'm sorry alpha, but a few of our warriors spotted a she-wolf running away in human form, she was captured when she was about to cross the pack's border." He said as I glared at him.
What was with this bastard!. It wasn't the first time that a she-wolf had decided to run away. Every once a month there was one that tried. Some were instantly killed on the spot while some were badly punished by killing their wolf with a high dosage of wolfsbane mixed with an Otis flower.
an Otis flower had no specific scent and had colorless liquid. If mixed in water or food, it was deadly for our kind that resulted in death if no cure was taken within the very first week of digestion. The cure was rare to find rather than the poison and that was why most died easily
"Was that fucking reason enough to budge into my office when I was having a serious conversation with Nana?. You are my beta and you know what to do with those kinds of situations." I pointed out.
"Yes Alpha, but the she-wolf that was captured turned out to be your appointed slave." He said.
At that moment everything seemed to stop for a second.
When I came back to my senses all I could feel was pure rage.
My anger was way stronger than any emotions at the moment.
I came out of the office and went out of the pack house seeing nothing but red. Axel had partial control and he was trying to stop me but I wasn't willing to let him.
