Chapter 148

Chapter 148

Making her slap herself and apologize in front of all these elite families and distinguished guests!

Sabrina was so furious she nearly dug her palms bloody!

But when she saw Alexander approaching, she immediately pressed her temple and cried out.

Alexander hurriedly reached out to support her: "Sabrina, what's wrong?"

Watching this fake act, Charlotte sneered inwardly.

Such an obvious trick, yet only a fool like Alexander would fall for it again and again.

Sabrina pressed her forehead, putting on a weak expression: "I don't know if I've been too tired these past few days, my head just feels dizzy and uncomfortable."

As she spoke, she swayed and leaned against Alexander's shoulder.

Alexander instinctively held her tight, calling out urgently: "Sabrina, Sabrina! What's wrong?"

After steadying herself, Sabrina looked at Alexander with a miserable expression: "Alexander, I feel so dizzy."

Alexander's face changed: "Don't be scared, I'll take you to the hospital right now."

Sabrina shook her head gently, pretending to insist: "No, I just need to rest a bit. Besides, Charlotte is still waiting for my apology."

As Sabrina spoke, she deliberately glanced at Charlotte with a pitiful look.

Hearing this and seeing Sabrina's pale face, Alexander fell silent.

After all, Charlotte had been wronged at the exhibition, so when he came over, his intention was to persuade Sabrina to just apologize properly and be done with it.

But if she really had to slap herself and apologize, today was Sabrina's personal exhibition - publicly slapping herself would definitely affect her reputation going forward.

So the best solution now was reconciliation.

After thinking it through, he slowly looked at Charlotte: "Charlotte, the one who did wrong was Angela. Sabrina is also a victim."

"And today is Sabrina's first personal exhibition. Just be the bigger person and let it go."

Sabrina shot Charlotte a quick glance, then bit her lip as a couple of tears slipped down her cheeks:"Charlotte, today I represent the Forbes Group's reputation, so please, for the Forbes Family's sake, forgive me this once."

Charlotte remained unmoved.

Seeing this, Alexander's gaze toward Charlotte gradually turned cold: "Charlotte, this whole thing was caused by you in the first place. It's all your fault it turned out like this."

"Fortunately Sabrina is being generous and not holding it against you. Just apologize and be done with it."

"Generous? Forgive? And I have to apologize to her?" Charlotte stared at the person before her, almost laughing in anger.

Earlier when the brooch was found in her purse, they forced her to admit fault, but now that it was Sabrina's turn to lose, they still wanted to force Charlotte to apologize!

Charlotte turned to a nearby staff member and raised her hand: "Please get me a glass of red wine, fill it up."

Sabrina immediately looked alert: "Charlotte, what do you want the wine for?"

Alexander also quickly reacted, remembering how Charlotte had once splashed Sabrina at a coffee shop, his eyes immediately showing a hint of warning: "Charlotte, everyone here today is someone important in River City. Don't do anything rash."

The staff member seemed to sense something was wrong and looked at Alexander, then at Charlotte, not daring to step forward.

Charlotte looked at them both quietly and curved her lips: "Didn't you tell me to be generous and understanding? Then I'll use wine to express my apology."

Sabrina and Alexander exchanged a look, each quietly letting out a breath of relief.
Alexander turned his gaze to Charlotte with a comforting smile: "It seems you're more sensible than before."

Sabrina also smiled sweetly at Charlotte: "Charlotte, that's wonderful, you're finally not angry with me anymore."

Charlotte smiled and was about to turn and tell the staff to bring the wine quickly when a glass filled to the brim with red wine suddenly appeared beside her.

It was Landon, who had just sent Nolan off and returned.

Seeing Charlotte’s slightly dazed look,, he curved his lips and pressed the wine glass into her hand: "Didn't you want red wine? Hold it steady."

Charlotte tightened her fingers around the ice-cold glass, an unshakable sense of guilt settling over her.

Landon had helped her again.

If she embarrassed Alexander in public this time, it would directly affect the Forbes Group's reputation. Would Landon mind?

As if seeing through her thoughts, Landon said quietly: "Do whatever you want. Don't worry about me."

Across from them, Sabrina also caught Charlotte's hesitation, but thought Charlotte was struggling with how to apologize to her. She couldn't help showing a trace of contempt and mockery.

'Charlotte, I thought you were so tough? In the end, you still have to bow down to me,' she thought.

Charlotte finally slowly raised the wine glass and mouthed some words.

"Charlotte, what are you saying? I can't hear you clearly."

"Why don't you say it again?"

Sabrina hadn't heard her clearly and deliberately wanted to embarrass Charlotte, so she was smiling and about to lean closer when she saw Charlotte's hand move, viciously splashing the red wine at her!

"Ah!"

Unable to dodge in time, Sabrina watched helplessly as the bright red liquid splashed straight toward her.

At the critical moment, Alexander suddenly pulled her tightly into his arms.

Immediately, the back of Alexander's shirt was soaked with red wine.

Even so, some wine still splashed on Sabrina's face and hair.

The bright red liquid dripped down her hair, eyebrows, and corners of her eyes...

In just moments, even her white dress was ruined.

Red and white mixed togetherin a chaotic mess - utterly disheveled.

Hearing Sabrina screaming in his arms, Alexander felt his blood rush to his head!

He held Sabrina tightly in his arms, turned around, and glared at Charlotte: "Charlotte, I was wrong about you!"

Meeting Alexander's vicious glare, Charlotte slowly released her grip.

The wine glass fell to the ground, instantly shattering into pieces.

Just like the irreparable relationship between Charlotte and Alexander.

Amid the sound of shattering, Charlotte slowly stepped forward and lowered her voice: "Does it still matter what you think of me?"

After speaking, she gave the stunned Alexander a cool glance, raised her head, and turned to walk away without looking back.

Wherever Charlotte passed, the invited guests all made way for her.

Landon narrowed his eyes, glanced at the red-faced Alexander, smiled, and also turned to leave.

Alexander's face had turned completely red.

He wanted to chase after her and demand Charlotte give him an explanation no matter what, but looking at Sabrina still sobbing in his arms, he ultimately gave up.

The onlookers watching this scene all stared wide-eyed in shock.

They looked at the man and woman still tightly embracing, then at Charlotte's resolute figure as she walked away, their gossip-loving hearts immediately burning bright.

Alexander actually ignored his wife and only cared about the woman in his arms!
